I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

My sister and i often visit my grandads house with my mum and by chipping in just £1.50 each .... we do it as a joke but its for serious reasons too for saving money and my mum buys what is needed and its also very handy as my grandad has an allotment and grows his own vegetables which are good for us to.
the moral of the post : "eat together and grow your own".0 -
Morning all, hope all ok.
Out of freezer this morning, Pizza dated Dec, this will be for lunch, Salmon dated Nov for tea tonight and Steak dated Nov for dinner tomorrow. Had a good week with nothing going in freezer so my plan is nothing for freezer when I go shopping later today, well unless its a bargain whoopsie !0 -
Morning all, nice day here.
Had porridge for breakfast, hubby had muesli and said the hazelnut milk tastes like hazelnuts. I did notice is was brown, looking like a chocolate milkshake.
Popped into Sainsbury's last night and spend just 78p on some organic mushrooms (Edwardia) for 34p and a stir fry mix for 44p. So hubby is having another stir fry and finishing off the Linda Mc prawns. I'll decide later, but may have the fish.
So only £3.15 left out of the £10 week budget and I'm getting 2 packs of fishfingers from Morries @ £1.25 and claim back the 2 x £1's from TCB.
Veg I'll leave until Monday, only short of carrots really. I'll get 4 pints of milk tomorrow from Sainsbury's for £1 and get 50p back and pick up any bargains. Making ciabatta later and took out the last 4 slices of bread.
Hope all are well, especially those (and family members) that are not too well.

Afternoon all, did a whole post this morning and it disappeared.
Just popped out and spent £13 exactly £10.10 in waitrose, I did make an error on the bargain meat deal, didnt bother going back as they would have cottoned on, so decided to swallow the £1.40 which is not that much, my meat drawer doesn't look empty, I got 2 pork loin steaks, 2 chicken breasts in lemon, 2 burgers with a cheese and.mustard topping, 2 burgers with a beetroot topping, my favorite cookies creamy white choc, a pack of garlic bread slices and 2 welchs grape juice which is on half price eating the cookies as we speak.
Got pak choi in the market 90p, a melon and tangerines in Mr s for £2 not sure if i am having a takeaway for dinner yet or not.
Might pop to Waitrose again tomorrow, the £5 week is looming lol.
Hope your all well.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Afternoon, shopping all done for the week and £10 week completed as follows:
Sunday - £3.07
Monday - £1.00
Tuesday - NSD
Wednesday - £2.00
Thursday - NSD
Friday - 78p
Saturday - £2.99
Weeks total = £9.84 and 16p under budget.
Bought 2 x fishfingers (£1.25 each) and a bag of "selected seconds" chantenay carrots (1.5kg for 49p) = £2.99
Had the luxury of giving a box of fishfingers away to MIL.
I think I'll do more £10 weeks during the year, it makes you think what to buy with your money. Having bread in the freezer helped, though could have made some.
I need a few basics next week, but nothing serious. Back to £25 average weeks (£100 per month) for a while and I would like to come in at around £350 budget by the end of April.

Evening all. Nice this morning hung 2 loads out, went shopping came back and washing soaking it was pouring down.
Oh went to Costco this morning got the tyres £140, good value for the 2 tyres would have been over £100 each at garage/tyre centre. He came back with the meat, marg, cheese and tomatoes as I requested.
Food today was beans on toast, late breakfast, crackers late lunch then dinner was homemade burger (no horse as youngest dd) said chips and big salad.
Well done Lynsey :-) .0 -
Hi y'all, thank you so much for your kind thoughts re: dawg. Although he went peacefully without so much as a twitch, there was a bit of drama when the vet managed to stick herself with the needle !
While OH went back to the house and cleaned up the dog bed, bowls etc for my mother to take to rescue centre, she dragged me into Sainsbos. They didn't have any white lilies or roses so I got two bunches of the tiddliest ever white carnations at £3 each to put next to a big photo of my labrador. Totally unimpresssed with Sainsbury's flowers. Picked up YS organic mushrooms Lynseyplus org wild rocket and watercress and we did a buffet lunch with tarts I ordered yesterday from Riverford.
My mother wanted a demo of new laptop so did A&C and Riverford orders. OH discovered that she's such a teapot we had gotten through the extra milk I ordered yesterday. I had to go back to Sainsbos and buy more.
Dinner will probably be leftovers from lunch since we have no dawg to vacuum them up. It seems horribly quiet. He was a rescue labrador, I had him since he was a year old. He had organic sirloin steak last night, and he'd had a pretty decent life, going to countryside, seaside, boot fairs, to uni with me, on trains, chasing pheasants, winning 3rd in his first and only dog show Most Handsome Dog. He was the kindest happiest dog I ever knew (and I'd have five before him). I have lots of photos of him with Pa in the country though.
Definitely not an NSD as vet charged £125.0 -
Forgot to say, Edwardia hope you and oh are OK x.
Oh and family size lasagne at lidl today was going through the till at £1.39, while trying not to feel embarrassed by youngest saying don't buy that it could have horse in it !!, rather embarrassing when you're telling her to be quiet. She's one of the ones who's quiet at school and the teachers have said I've never come across any child with manners like hers before and she's so thoughtfully of other children's needs. I say well you should see her at home, have her for the weekend !!!. I honestly don't think they believe me.0
