    Morning

Porridge for me and DH will have weetibix when he gets out of bed

Dinner will be pigs in blanket and bubble and squeak....I shall have veggie meatless loaf.

So only the pigs and meatless loaf out of freezer.

I agree with Lynsey although not a meat eater, I only buy good quality meat from butcher none of the processed stuff.Funny DH mention when we first met that he would never touch BM with a barge pole.He has such poor health anything I can do to help is worth the extra money.

Heavy rain here so no walking so opted to have a baking morning then cleaning church this afternoon.
Had my locks cut yesterday and my hair looks lovely and I go to the local beauty school and they always do a fab job and cost a snip of the big salons:-) I used to pay £45.......I only paid £6.50 for a CBD:-)

Realised me and ds have a dentist appointment at 5.15 so will treat him to Maccy D's when we come out as it'll be getting a bit late to start tea when we get home. Almost forgot about the appointment!

I agree with you about BM. I used to buy their breaded turkey steaks years ago when I first moved out of home. Hadn't bought them for years until I bought some whoopsied and it was like eating breaded mush.

With this processed meat thing, I supposed there are differences between the cooking processes that may affect results like some people will add oil when frying certain things, although I always dry fry. Also the people that eat a lot of processed foods might not look after their diet as well as someone who cooks from scratch.

It's pouring down here so going to put some washing in the tumble dryer in a minute, said to the girls this morning you'll have to tidy your room this evening oldest response was I can't I'm to busy revising yeah whatever, youngest said well it doesn't really bother us only you so maybe you could do it, you make such a good job. No chance I'm not doing it so they know what they're doing tonight.

Food today was porridge brekkie, lunch soup I think and dinner is home made chicken and leek pie, tatties, and mashed neep and carrots.

    Catch up later.

Some of the MRM (mechanically recovered meat) is disgusting and Bernard Mathews amongst others used to use that filthy process. We banned BM stuff years ago, but obviously they'll probably produce for others.

I had a friend who used to deliver to BM in Norfolk, until he saw inside one of the "meat factories" (his words). What he saw, which I won't reapeat here, revolted him (and he a tough-nut ex-army guy), and he never ate BM again; and he also refused to deliver there, too.

Evening all, have had a day at home cleaning so no spends :j

Out of freezer tonight 4 pork chops, green beans, a chicken breast, 2 corn on cob, some waffles and a small choc ice cream lolly.

Nothing gone in tonight and have managed to move a few bits around so finally I am making a dent in the huge amount of food in there :)

Needed a few shopping bits today (potatoes, milk, flour and spread mainly) and obviously managed to buy more than I went in for.

Haven't given the house a proper tidy in a few days so I'm determined to get that done tonight along with an inventory of everything in the freezer and cupboards to. Then I get the spend the rest of the evening doing maths revision... :(

    Evening all

Steak & kidney pie tonight was lovely - feeling really full now lol.

Again not much in the way of freezer movement except a WW meal out for tomorrow night, nothing gone in either.
Brought fresh bread today for DM as the other stuff we had to bin, it had been in the cupboard for well over a week and since I'm only on brown bread (due to dieting/cutting back) I havent been using it. Otherwise only spends have been on paracetamol and other medicines from the chemist.

In the Eastern USA you can find wild turkeys which can fly and people shoot them to eat. Here our fat wobbly things can't mate naturally so have to be artificially inseminated. No-one could pay me enough to look after a stud turkey ewww

Dinner was roast wild pheasant out of freezer. OH had Kraft Stove Top Stuffing (American junk food) that we didn't eat at Christmas. I tried it and it was better than most English stuffings but I didn't dare look at the ingredients  I suggested to OH that he used up the butternut squash lurking in the veg drawer so he chunked it to put roud the fezzie. There was some prosciutto di Parma additive free parma ham from Lidl to use up so he plonked it over the bird.

OMG I think I have found a sub for crisps. Protein, no additives, 1.99 for a whole packet, and when roasted are as crunchy as crackling but thinner. Fantastic.

Had carrots and peas with the organic gravy powder Kirri recommended :T thanks Kirri we like it :)

Have page one of my website up yay, got lots of work to do on it yet though.

NSD today except for buying website building stuff. Tomorrow got Riverford and Ocado coming as have managed 2 weeks without Ocado order and getting real low on chicken and meat.

Fire Fox found a place where I can gets loads of frozen organic veg which may work out cheaper than fresh for some things. :) Might try it next week.

Hope everyone feeling well/better, getting lots of bargains. Remembered Mother's Day Sunday so seeing my mother Saturday, her present arriving romorrow and she wants dosh for a camellia she got in Lidl today.

Anyone started spring cleaning yet ? :( I'm doing kitchen, always think that's the worst !
