Evening all.
Still not well, popping cough sweets and allergy meds like crazy in order to try and stem this horrible bug I have acquired.
Not much in the way of freezer movements (tm) going on, DM had the rest of the steak and kidney pie from last night, warmed in the microwave this evening. I had the WW meal, and have taken out a sub roll for tomorrow night.
Not sure if I'll be going to work tomorrow, will see how I fare in the morning.0 -
Anyone started spring cleaning yet ?
I'm employing the Quentin Crisp household cleaning strategy:

(on why he doesn't clean his apartment)

Morning all to a drizzly damp day here.
Got a few great bargains in Sainsbury's last night, mainly fruit.
I went in for the Bertolli offer, but it's finished, so trying their 'Butterlicious' spread on offer @ 86p. It was ok, not bad at all.
Fruit bargains: 2 x punnets of cherries (25p each from £3.50 each lol), 2 x Cantaloupe melons (19p each from £2 each), 2 x bags Bramley apples (19p each from £1.99 each), large bag Italian salad (19p from £2) and a large tub of Rachel's coconut yogurt for hubby (10p from £2) - total £2.41 and didn't I do well. Nothing for the freezer either!!
Had breakfast, toasted hot cross bun loaf and a yoghurt (strawberry for myself).
Took out what I hope are turkey steaks to have with roast veg and a blue cheese sauce (made with creme fraiche).
I'll need milk today, but I'll pick up tonight probably when putting the lottery on. I might have a look in Aldi if passing as it's change over weekend for Super 6.

Morning all. Was going to take ds to the cinema today but it's bucketing down, so not going to bother. Will go to Asda with the folks then take a trip to toysrus to get ds' monthly skylander. Also need to pop into hobby craft to get bits and pieces to make ds' Easter bonnet.
Had fish fingers, beans and chips things for tea last night. Didn't like the chip things as they were like hash browns. I don't mind hash browns, just only with a full English lol. Not got any plans for meals today. May grab a fresh pizza from Asda. Need to buy Easter eggs today so will pop into Tescos as they have a better range.
Ds started Beavers last night and on the way home I visited a shop that had some soups for 33p. Only bought the one though as bought a few other things, so going to try visit today.
Scrap that... Mam and Dad did their shopping yesterday... so thanks to them for letting me know. grrrThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Evening all.
Spent a little bit today, but just £3.51 and not too bad a week considering I picked up stuff I needed. Only missed bacon and sugar (again), but hubby is thinking of using sweeteners.
Weeks spends:
Sun - £4.92
Mon - £5.82
Tue - NSD
Wed - NSD
Thu - £5.28
Fri - £6.00
Sat - £3.51
Total = £25.53
Tesco "freebies" helped.
Hoping for nearer £15 next week, but would hope to spend less than £20. Depends what the TCB offers are.
Ended up having a turkey stir fry tonight and the rest of the turkey tomorrow with veg and sauce.
Mothering Sunday tomorrow, hope you are well treated.

Evening all, bbbrrrr it's freezing here, someone said it's suppose to snow tomorrow quite believe it the gritters were out this afternoon.
Very well done lynsey on your bargains.
Edwardia, painting yes, web designing probably not but sure he would try and help. The pheasant, venison he eats he knows exactly where it's come from the local estate and lamb has to be from the same butcher. He eats rabbit swell only if the farmer he knows brings him one, no one else eats it, I can't stand rabbit but I don't make a big deal of it I help him turn it into what he wants. Funny you should say chef, he loves cooking and baking it's actually one of the subjects he has top of his list for his 3 rd year choices so you never know. Some of the concoctions he "trys" us with are terrible but he's trying new things, he likes you to be honest he's trying. I let all 3 of the cook and bake the youngest is very proud she makes the best scrambled eggs !!. Oldest daughter if I'm honest isn't really into cooking but will give it a try and can do the basics.
Food today was brekkie egg roll, lunch salad and dinner was quick as was back late had meatballs and pasta.
Right off now to have a glass of my fav wine, it's cairn o' mohr does anyone else buy this. I would recommend it :-)
Spent just under £40 this week but £8.00 of that was socks for oh, who I have to send CVS of for on Monday as he hates his job just now and my ears are sore from hearing about it, if you know what I mean :-) .0
