Was it this?I spotted proper DOP balsamic vinegar from Modena in Lidl recently.

Just curious how the price compares to other outlets.
Thanks in advance

edited to add.. had an idea for a challenge.. NO chocolate, sweets, biscuits, crisps. cakes. fizzy drinks, for adults for five days, seven if you're brave. Would be interesting to see how much was saved, whether adults could resist begging kids for treats and whether anyone lost weight.

Are you serious??
No more "editing" for you.
lol
Actually, a bit of commitment needed there and a nice bit of healthy eating could be achieved if wanted.
Hubby is actually talking about a fruit and veg and just water for drinks for a week, the week before his next blood test (though might have to do it earlier if our planned break spoils it).
I think just a couple of days per week is better, maybe 2 or 3 days together??
A real commitment ........................... don't know if I want to spend that much though.

Now that I would really find difficult... it's probably due to addictive sugar? but I have something sweet every single day.... weirdly the only time I didn't feel like it was during hospital recovery last year when I was just craving fresh stuff and fruit.
Do I get £5 per small furry for the other challenge??!! The veg/bottled water is all shared at the moment but I'm spending prob £30 a week at the mo and £25 ish of that is on veg/water!! I have 100+ meal ingredients in for dinners though (albeit dull dinners). I can go a whole week though without shopping as long as I have veg/water in advance..0 -
I know we could manage on £5 per adult so £10 for week but most would be spent on fruit, veg and water.
We could also do the no snacks for 7 days ...although I may go crazy with no lovehearts to eat:-)
DH has given all snacks up for Lent but not only that as of today given up smoking(this means horrid time for me) and got no warning.
I rather he smokes and is placid and calm.........If you hear of Murder in Wales near a coastal town it could be me!!
Out of freezer Oven chips, faggot for himself and veggie shephards pie for me.Weight loss challenge 66lb to go /59lb's lost

I am absolutely livid!!! Effing fuming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to sign on today. There was a job on a particular site that had got posted in the last few days, but I'd looked at the site the day before. So because I'd not applied she said if it happened again she'd be sending it to a decision maker!
Stupid because I'd be looking at the site this afternoon so would have seen it then. It's not like the job has been on for weeks. Really bleeding annoyed with the silly jumped up cow! God I hate that place. Forget that I've worked the last 15 years, and just lump me with all the chavy scroungers ARGHHHHHHHHH :mad::mad:
Anyway, the egg sandwich I had for lunch wasn't the best. The bread didn't taste as fresh as it should, and was a bit rubbery. Went to Tesco and spent £6 on bits and pieces. Spuds, sweets for ds, a sauce etc. Got a friend of ds' a birthday pressie for £7, reduced from about £20 so did well there. They had some nice barbie stuff reduced too.
I think I could manage a no eating crap week. I don't really have fizzy drinks, crisps are rare and chocolate is generally a once a week thing if that.
I still want to punch something/someone!There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
That sounds interesting, and do-ablehad an idea for a challenge.. NO chocolate, sweets, biscuits, crisps. cakes. fizzy drinks, for adults for five days, seven if you're brave. Do you mean fruit and raw veg, plus water? Or cooked veg? That also sounds interesting, but 2-3 days at a time as you say:)Hubby is actually talking about a fruit and veg and just water for drinks for a week ... I think just a couple of days per week is better, maybe 2 or 3 days together?? A real commitment
Why bottled water instead of tap water? Just curious:question:I'm spending prob £30 a week at the mo and £25 ish of that is on veg/water!! Both raw and cooked. He eats raw veg, carrots, swede, celery etc and salad stuff. Potatoes and others and some of above cooked. He could eat a plate of boiled veg with just just a sprinkling pepper over. He does snack on nuts ans finishing off Xmas cashews.
I think 2 or 3 days max per week would be better ........................ otherwise my freezers will never get emptied. :rotfl:
Lip_Stick - would it be right to say you haven't had the best of days??
Off to hide until you've got rid of your anger. lol
Hope your day gets better though. I think the whole Government are going a bit crazy at the minute with bedroom taxes etc, etc, etc, .............................. punch them.
They seem to hit those at the bottom yet again, when they should be working from the top down. You have my sympathy.
Going to Tesco for tea bags (Tetley's 240's) for the TCB "snap and save" as the offer they have on ends today (tea bags). I have a Tesco £2 coupon, so save a little more.
The offer will probably pop up somewhere else this week, but would hate to miss it.
2 packs and 2 x £1 back.

Yes you could say that Lynsey, not sure how you got that impression though!
Turns out the job in my city doesn't exist and is actually about 40 miles away!!! I've wrote a big paragraph on my job search record about it all. I've refrained from name calling but it's been hard to resist lol. Hope I get the same woman. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Edwardia It's a great idea, I will deffo do it, I have given up crisps for lent, are scones included? I will probably substitute the sweets for yogurts, fruit leathers, nuts etc, so would be doable.
When is low spend week? 1st week of March? Can't believe I'm saying March so soon.
