I might try it with golden syrup ^ I have some in the cupboard.

Used up 2 small jacket potatoes with the last of the cheddar at lunch. The potatoes aren't that nice tasting but the cheese improved them.

Dinner - had omelette with vegan cheese and a watercress, lettuce and pepper salad topped with garlic mushrooms again.

So nothing out of the freezer...

May do some more popcorn in agave syrup shortly.

Out of freezer tonight - tub of HM Cheese/Onion/Potato Pie, a HM muffin, a tub of cooked mince for the dog, 2 portions of Chicken and 2 slices of HM Syrup Cake. :)Nothing went in. :D
For dinner we had HM TITH with roast potatoes, brocolli, cauliflower, carrot, onion and gravy.

hubby roasted loads of veg, pots and steamed four different veg and then we did lamb chops for the boys...

but didn't fancy our pork loin chops (why not they are beautiful!) and have ordered a curry.... partly cos hubby really was took with the idea when I mentioned it. Teach me to make glib comments!!!

if it wasn't for the takeaway it would be an NSD...... as it is £20 down!

    Evening all.

Only spent a few £'s today when I went to Sainsbury's to have a look for the almond milk - no joy, but I'll try tomorrow.
89p for meatballs (beef I hope), 65p on some nectarines and 29p on a pack of egg custards - £2.83
Had the chicken stir fry, made carrot and coriander soup for tomorrow and hubby has made a chicken balti - so easy day tomorrow.
I need bits including frozen peas this week, but expecting a fairly cheap week.

Kirri - I like my porridge sloppy, just add half milk/half water.
I had some for breakfast with sugar. I add a little sugar when cooking also.

Edwardia - my hubby would love that whisky porridge twist.

donnajt - for crispy crackling, try my hubby's tip. He gets it right every time by starting the skin off in a medium hot wok with a little oil - works a treat.
The £10 will probably be "invested" at M&S Outlet. ;)

katskorner - £20 on takeaways is naughty. lol
    Enjoy though.

Spent £41 today on 10 x 12.5kg bird seed from Costco (£4.07 per bag) - BIL dropped it of as we are not members. Should last a week or two.
It was to share, but MIL has loads also.

    Morning all (sleepy-heads).

Off to do Brothers shopping (Morries) and do a few bits, then on to Asda for almond milk (only £1 litre) to try. I'll get bananas and use that "snap and save" thingy (it's brilliant) and get some bread and I'll freeze enough for the week..
Just had a toasted teacake and soup later.
Toast and fruit for hubby (he's on a roll with the fruit) and balti for him.

Morning all. Haven't had much chance to get on lately with it being half term, but ds is back at school now. :T :j:beer::dance: Actually I feel it's flown by and I enjoyed it. Just glad to get some order to the flat now lol.

Kept up with not spending much, went to Asda Saturday morning and spent less than £5. Today on the school run I spent £1.50, barring the bacon and tomato sarnie I bought. :o

Tonight is going to be spag bol. I've dragged mince out the freezer. Feel like I should be meal planning this week.

Any thoughts on when we're doing the reduced budget challenge?
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
