    No freezer movements today.
Dinner was HM cheese/onion/potato pie with roast potatoes and roasted veggies - beetroot, red onions and green pepper - in balsamic vinegar/sugar and oil.
Already have the cooked chicken out for tomorrow's dinner.

What extras are in it compared to the flour? as pizza dough recipe is fairly basic, so probably cheaper to buy a basic strong white flour and add the yeast, salt etc as supermarket strong flour is 70p ish for 1.5kg, unless the base mix is some amazing flour or something?!
I don't know what the extras are, will call instore and make a note off the packet:)

Florenceem - no freezer movements sounds so cool  like aircraft movements. I spotted proper DOP balsamic vinegar from Modena in Lidl recently.

Out of the cupboard, for my dinner, Kraft Dinner Macaroni Cheese. Kids are reared on this stuff in USA and Canada, it's a childhood favourite like Heinz baked beans, here. Anyway, even though made with organic milk and French lactic butter, it tasted like flabby pasta swimming in custard so I probably won't be buying it again - even the organic version. :(

IN freezer Long Crichel Bakery pain d'Auvergne for OH, org lamb chops.

Pizza free household here as OH wasn't enthusiastic about organic pizza.

That's where I bought my balsamic - it was on offer so I got 4 bottles.

Evening all. Decided to make chilli with wedges for tea tonight. Ds had chilli... without the chilli lol. The wedges were lovely. Cooked in some of the duck fat I'd rendered off a while ago. Ds was really good and helped me with washing up, then wiping the table... then decided to wipe the wall when I'd nipped out the kitchen lol.

Tomorrow I'll grab my boiled egg and salad sarnie for lunch. Tea is just myself so not sure what I'll do, same for Wednesday, just me again. :(

Jelly Biactol - Your NSDs are a fantastic achievement. Well done!

Edwardia - I'm not a fan of macaroni cheese, except for an Asda extra special 4 cheese one, which is ok.

ms_night_ryder - How about £5 per person then? Max of £10 per family? Enough to buy milk etc? Lynsey can have a NSW lol. It's more to encourage people to use stocks and not buy whoopsies on a whim.

KD is best made by tossing in marg, letting it melt over the noodles, bung in dayglo orange powder, splash of milk, stir like hell. If too thick dribble in some more milk. Stir.

Number two son could survive on this or the generic versions of the stuff. KD is around $1CDN for a box. Generic is 2/$1.

    Squirt Heinz Ketchup on, eat.

Never, ever make it using the quantities of milk and marg on the box!

Too make it truly gourmet, slice up hotdogs and stir in.

Or, version B, stir in one drained can of tuna.

Mothers that add one cup of frozen mixed veg to the noodles when cooking are almost considered guilty of child abuse:D

Morning all to a bright, but frosty morning.

wondercollie - welcome to the thread. I take it you live in Canada?? Love your last line. lol

No further spends yesterday and wouldn't mind a NSD today. I want apples to use the TCB thingy, but may wait until tomorrow and pop into Morries. 2 x 50p (or as near as possible) spends.

Pork chops, grilled with fresh pineapple today with cauli, carrots and new potatoes. Just had toast for breakfast and hubby hasn't tried the almond milk yet, so no comment.

Low Spend Week - yes £5 per adult is ideal - so £10 week for myself.
I'll do mine from Sun - Sat again. When do you want to start?? I've got another Nestle order to do soon, so will work around that.

Morning all. Bit chilly.. but hopefully it'll warm up!

Done the school run. No ds for me til tomorrow evening.. awwww. Spent £1 while out on 2 packs of All bran breakfast biscuits. Will look in Tesco today as in town. Fatal mistake, I know! Have to admit I love the Tesco Extra in town as you get some unusual stuff.

Meals today are egg sarnie and I think I'm going to have chilli sausages for tea. Not sure with what yet. Going to get some spuds today as those wedges were lovely so will probably have it with those.

Lynsey - Sunday to Saturday is good for me. It's my skint week then so would rather not spend lol.

wondercollie - I should have made it myself not trusted it to OH. :o I low carb so I don't normally eat mac n cheese but as Ocado sells it I succumbed :D Veg in it is soo wrong noo, especially.. broccoli. Welcome to the thread I used to live in TO.

Lip_Stick - North American boxed macaroni with dayglo cheese (it really is thanks to tartrazine yellow ) is just not like UK version be it ready meal or tinned. OH likes it too, I'd rather buy the organic version but I could only get that in bulk from Amazon and that would mean having all those boxes saying Eat Me in the larder.. bad idea !

NSD for me today and tomorrow.

Hope everyone well, sprogs and pets included xx

edited to add.. had an idea for a challenge.. NO chocolate, sweets, biscuits, crisps. cakes. fizzy drinks, for adults for five days, seven if you're brave. Would be interesting to see how much was saved, whether adults could resist begging kids for treats and whether anyone lost weight. ;)
