    I've been Money Tipped!
Welsh Poppy - sorry to hear that, best wishes to Mr WP.
I'm going to remind hubby, but he was back on the hamster wheel yesterday and has lost the first kilo. Probably put it back on today though. lol

Thanks for all the research into the "gravy" ingredients, but what I really want to know is.................................................................................

............................................................... does it contain horse meat. :D

Not to sure whether to try Sainsbury's tonight to spend some of my months budget, or stay strong?

Took out chicken crown for tomorrow, so another space. :j

    NSD.
Usual brekkie. I found a lingering Breaka... bar in the cupboard - that was my elevenses with a cuppa. Lunch was poached egg on HM bread toasted and a satsuma. I think that is the last satsumas I am buying this season - definitely past their best now.
I had a slice of HM syrup cake with a cup of tea mid afternoon.
Dinner - chicken thigh, HM wedges and salad - grated carrot, red onion, celery and yellow pepper. Enough salad left for Mr F's lunch tomorrow.

    Evening all.

Decided on steak and kidney pudding for tea tonight with mash, cabbage and carrots. Enjoyed it. Had mango for afters. Ds was hungry and ate the lot.

Got rid of some ps3 games that I didn't want anymore and got £23 for those, so enough to see me through til I get more cash. Hope it'll rain buckets tomorrow so the window cleaner doesn't come lol.

Managed to get some of the 38p washing up liquid, although I've still got 2 bottles of fairy left back from the days when Tesco were doing DTD. :D Might have to make a trip to get sis some tomorrow as she wants some.

Thinking of asking the ex if he wants tea tomorrow as I've some peppered steaks that could do with eating, and ds won't touch it lol.

Lynsey - I've learnt something from you today........ never to look at my gravy granules ingredients!

WP - hoping your hubby gets better soon. x

ms_night_ryder - nice stash you got from Mr M's! That woman sounds a bit of a greedy mare lol.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
  • Lipstick what 2 veg will you be having babe? Sprouts? :)

    baby carrots :p

The 38p washing up liquid is from Asda. It's persil 625ml. They had stacks in my Asda so must be getting rid of that line.

  • And baby sprouts? Scabby ones like Kirri's allotment ones? :)

^ I only put those in the bin today lol, they were all shrivelled up and yellow :p

WP - must have been a big shock, they didn't keep him long so guess that's a good thing.

Jelly B - thanks for info, sounds more like something I'd put in the car.. Lynsey are you still going to eat it?!

Lipstick - doing the same here, had a dire couple of boring food days, need chocolate as well as more interesting food, am currently wondering what I can sell next, debts are mounting.. food going on c/card.

More pet problems here too, both my females are ill now, v stressed, hope they are ok overnight... need to ring vets in morning.

Lynsey - I don't use meat granules. I use some yeast extract with some mixed herbs with vegetable granules. The veg ones from Aldi don't seem to have quite as many weird ingredients as the meat flavour!

Lip_Stick I can't believe the doctors couldn't decide if your DS needs a hearing aid til he was 5. Mind you my DS was 4 before we found out about his milk intolerance and he was the most sicky baby ever!

I've not had a good end to January as I've gone over by about £6. Having said that I wouldn't usually know what I've spent. So I'm looking to improve in February.

I've got a couple of good Veggie recipes that I will post tomorrow when I'm on the computer.

Hope everyone gets better and feels better soon, including OHs and pets.

((((Welsh Poppy)))) hope Mr WP is recovering nicely.

((((Kirri))) hope your pets get better soon.

Dinner was beef stew made with organic diced beef from Sainsbos out of the freezer, which was a bit chewy. Also used ASDA organic tinned whole peeled plum tomatoes which were really flavourful.

Had some Haagen Daz vanilla ice cream (half price in Tesco Express and on Ocado atm) while watching Michael Portillo's Great British Railways on catchup - no nasties but OMG it's too sweet yuck yuck yuck.

    Stock

1 kg beef bones ( I use Laverstoke Park Farm organic, 1.99, Abel & Cole)
    1 carrot
    bay leaf
    peppercorns
if you have some few sprigs of fresh herbs or bouquet garni or if if not
    pinch of mixed dried herbs

Boil bones in water in big sauce pan for good 10 mins to kill bacteria, then let simmer till reduced and concentrated and skim any scum off. Cool as fast as poss, strain and freeze in container. Use warm ice cream scoop to dollop a scoop in pan for stews and soups etc.
  • Thanks everyone They wanted to keep him longer but he was adamant he wanted to be home with me.I dont think they had much choice.
yes diet sheet no meds as yet but at GP today.
I think it happened due to him asking gp to reduce his statins(silly man read on WWW about it) and then this happens so they are putting his dosage back up to before.

Not sure what food we shall have today but I have huge pot of veg soup on stove so that will need to be used up with everything it has not been touched.
