Morning guys hope you all safe and warm.

Well its week before payday and hubbys whinging but we have food.

pack mice defrosting in fridge for tonight.

    2readymeals one freezer, 1 defrosted.

    1pack sausages defrosted.

another 7packs sausages and some frozen veg in freezer.

today hes gone out on milk run over lidls to get

milk, bread, coffee, bag oven chips dont think he can afford eggs:(

We out of fruit, crips, biscuits hes even ate the dried fruit and nuts from homebaking cupboard.

    Today going to make

    hm onion soup
    loaf bread
    shortbread as have butter.
    we have crackers and cheese.

ordered family veg box from milk man to arrive tommorow.
Hoping it gets here as no new snow here.

We can then have jacket potatoes, sausages and mash, sausage casserole.

I ave bread flour, passsata and cheese could make hm pizzas.

Sent eldest into with cheque for school dinners today.

so we will stretch out always do if it wasent for my manic reduced hunt then we have no meal options left either so think we better than we normally are.

We have well stocked store cupboards which has helped too. we have jam so they can always have jam on toast and packet jelly to make as have ice cream in freezer.

Maybe if they have pudding daily they wont feel so deprived.

Looking foward to running down everything and starting afresh.

decembers grocery budget was high but lasted us nearly 2months.

On random happy note noticed mse gave me another star:)

Not sure when as sure I was 3before.
    Think 4 is the max.

Have been here years on and off though.

Morning all, not as much snow as forecast and rain beforehand which helped.
Another £1.50 spent on just milk and hot cross buns and £2.10 on the day. NSD today and that's a definite.

    Evening all.

Had a lush tea tonight, chicken in a bbq sauce, onion rings, chips, roasted red pepper and peas. Well and truly stuffed!

Meat and two veg with a little extra, I bet you were stuffed. ;)
Looks like you had it large. lol

BTW, if I'm nice to you will you tell me again the name of that company which does the cheap coach holidays? I'm sure they did late deals also?

A rare occurance, I would get a photo of that. :rotfl:

Wishes to all suffering and to Kirri's pet.

Pasta bake sorted and toasted hot cross bun - another easy day.
I have a lonely tin of carrots I've had for ages and ages and that will get used this week. Don't want to go shopping just for carrots and will leave it until later in the week, unless we can go for the Groupon tomorrow (weather is KING!!).

Welsh Poppy - I copy now with long posts, sick of losing them. Just paste on word or email draft if BB goes down ....................... not that I do many long posts though!!

2013 food spends = £35.29 and £60 month is gradually looking better.

I do need gravy granules at the weekend from Aldi and I'll get more veg then.

Just back from docs. BP down a little but got a long way to go. Good news I've lost 4kgs in 8 days. I'm looking on this journey as 'this is my worst day and it should get better' x-rays next.

Yesterday was fruit for breakfast, cup a soup and pistachios for lunch, chicken, peppers, toms, 2 yogurts and dark choc for tea.
Today will be something similar but will report later.

Cold, very cold, don't want any more snow

    zafiro1984 4kgs wow, well done you !:T

Abel & Cole no-show yesterday so got refund. Delayed ghee should arrive today is tracking as on van for delivery. No news on OH's organic gingerbread men. Friday getting first Riverford delivery I hope.

Feeling down today. OH had interview for job he really wants last Thurday. He's got the qualifications and experience, he's doing the same job at at bigger place in London with a smaller team of people (ten less), he and I did loads of research for it.

He turned up in the suit I got him in T M Lewin's sale plus his gorgeous Austin Reed navy wool overcoat (another sale bargain). New M&S cotton shirt, new shoelaces, shiny leather shoes, haircut recently, clean fingernails. Truefitt & Hill aftershave balm (Ocado offer) even solid silver cufflinks (50% off in a sale).

They grilled him for over an hour but didn't even let him do his presentation or give him time to ask his questions. Promised to let him know in 48 hrs and still nothing. :(

If I had crisps in the house I'd be eating them :( Sorry to be gloomy !

The snow has melted off roofs, cars, trees, roads and pavements but still thick in gardens and lots of train cancellations this morning.

Noo idea what's for dinner but if OH forgot to take stuff out of freezer then it'll be veggie. The Ocado veg box came with a recipe for fennel bake. May do myself fried egg, black pudding and sauteed onions with peas for lunch.

Morning all, feeling really rough. Woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible migraine and feeling sick. Didn't take ds to school as couldn't face the journey. Supposed to sign on today too. :(

Don't know about meals. Was looking forward to the steak and kidney pudding tonight, but won't be having that if I'm not feeling any better.

Lmao lipstick do you know how many times I have looked at your last post and.literally howled with laughter? A lot, you mentioned.it on the post before, but now I'm thinking it must have been code, sibling for ds perhaps, my question was totally genuine, caravaning on Valentines with the ex, offerings of fiery sausage, not sure I can take much more this thread tbh lol.

:rotfl: The firecracker sausages (to give them their proper name) are not a euphenism for anything! And I'm going away in June... I won't be seeing the ex at all on Valentine's day as it's a Thursday, I've just checked the calendar lol.

Not sure which one you mean. I went with siesta on coach when I went to disney?
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Edwardia, still time to hear, I think the same if I don't hear quick enough. Did they say how many were being interviewed?

Thanks all for the well wishes, he's doing well, not quite 100% but lucky to be alive - my credit card however is not so happy, think treatment so far has been £243  Just picked him up some Waitrose fennel for his digestion. Disappointed, even though I don't drink it, that Waitrose didn't have any of the 1% milk in stock for me to get for free! It can't be stocked in all branches.. I might have had pancakes otherwise. Just had work prog appt, another waste of a morning but fares paid so I could go to Waitrose for free at the same time :D Managed to spend nearly £17 in there though, bit of veg, juice, couple of packs of butter and some washing liquid - plus my free newspaper of course.

MNR/Lynsey - comments to Lip_stick are making me laugh!

    Toast for breakfast
No idea re lunch - maybe garlic mushrooms on toast or egg or toast - not sure whether to splurge and have both but should maybe ration my food more under the current circumstances!!
Dinner - stilton and veg pasta again, really liking this at the moment.

Going to have to make some biscuits later, got nothing to snack on.

"Gammon" is in the fridge still, may do an experiment with the foxes later.

Lip_Stick - I think you posted about a company which did UK breaks??
Sure it was you, but sorry if it wasn't. We were just talking about it yesterday with Brother and might do a UK break without a car.

Kirri - nice to hear your pet is on the mend.

Edwardia - shame about your OH's job ........................ if I had crisps, I'd eat them also. Keep your chin up.

zafiro1984 - good weight loss - take care and hope all goes well.

Snowing again, but no big flakes - still lying though!!

Pasta bake in and kept a portion back for myself for tomorrow. Hubby will start on the fish stash. Either haddock in breadcrumbs or salmon fillets.

Those that followed the "Hamper Saga" - the inevitable happened!!
