zafiro1984 - that's what my father called squirrels too.. back in 2010, a supermarket in Crouch End was selling them £3 each.. not so much Squirrel Nutkins as Squirrel Budgens ;)

just trying - go see GP you could leave whatever it is and it get worse. I was lucky that my verry smart GP diagnosed me with diabetes when I complained about a sore foot. I still don't have many symptoms now but if I'd left it,I might be shooting up insulin now. So go, get it sorted xxx

kirri - I think I'd take squirrel over vegan gammon as I don't like the real stuff.

I had Yeo Valley natural organic yogurt for breakfast and I've got that song on my mind now :D. Lunch was Heinz organic cream of tomato soup and dinner will be Daylesford chicken legs roasted with rosemary, olive oil, lemon juice and Herbes de Provence.

OH trudged to Sainsbury's in snow for milk and luckily they had some organic 1% so he didn't have to get it at McDonald's. Ocado called to say they got stuck in snow in a village and will be late. OH gone for a recce as he says if it's freezing now he has no chance of getting to work tomorrow in London. Worried neither Ocado tonight or Abel & Cole tomorrow will turn up.

Almost out of veg both fresh and frozen, out of eggs and bacon, milk only til tomorrow, no bread, only one yogurt left.

On the plus side though, my mother remembered she has a freezer and has been eating out of it :T:T:T

PS Kirri Ocado has hot water bottles on offer

    welcome to the thread DanielleNic087

Superdrug have some cheap ones, although 2 years ago they sold them off for 20p each I bought 10!!!! Boots also have them and Primark have some small ones with a cover on them.

Fantastic, will have a nose in all 3. I'd be tempted to buy a couple if that cheap though not much chance in this cold weather!

^ Didn't realise Ocado did things like that!!! Will check that out too.

Katskorner I can't believe some people. I was terrified I would leave someone out and upset them. DS only started school in September anxious wanted to invite nearly everyone at first. Hope he enjoys his day whatever you do.

Just trying bite the bullet and go to the Dr. It will be no less embarrassing if you leave it and it might be more difficult to treat if you wait. Good luck x

MNR. Sorry about tha arsenic. I still eat nice as does my son and he's fine. Thanks for the recipe. Can I make vegan green pesto?

Welcome also to the newbies. Very friendly lot here so come back often.

^ vegan green pesto can be made using nuts instead of the cheese, can't tell the difference.

I buy a vegan organic red pesto 'La Bio Idea' (Amazon/organic shops) it's so good, I didn't even realise it was vegan at first, I got it because it was organic. They also do a green pesto. Think Meridian green pesto (organic, stocked in Sainsbury's/health shops) is also a vegan one?

Evening all. Blinking freezing this evening!

NSD, if you don't count buying birthday cards. Had a chicken dinner at mam's and had some noodles for tea. Taken a BBQ chicken meal out the freezer for tomorrow.

Have a load of sausage meat in so will do something with that this weekend. Probably sausage and apple plait maybe. Going to use up some steak that's been lingering in the freezer and make use of the slow cooker for that. That's about as far as meal planning has gone for me, and is highly likely subject to change.

katskorner - Hope you get something sorted for the lil one's birthday. Bet he enjoys himself whatever happens. :)

just trying - echo what everyone has said about the Dr's. Make sure you go, and soon. x

DanielleNic87 - Welcome to the thread! Sounds like it's going to be a very long while before you clear your cupboards... of cereal that is.

Evening all, cold, cold, cold here only had a sprinkeling of snow this morning though I think they are saying more tomorrow morning. Thanks everyone going to phone the doctors tomorrow morning. If I'm honest my doctors aren't very good had a bad experience with them before where I actually made a complaint, will see what they say.

Kirri, home bargains do the little hot water bottles think they are about 50p.
Jelly biactol, home bargains also do the jars your after, worth a look.

Edwardia, good news that the shopping turned up.

Katscorner, yeah that could be a good idea, start his early if they overlap I wonder if people would leave, I think it would be awkward and they would end up staying at yours. That would make me laugh and teach them a lesson.

Food today I've had a sandwich and some chew sweets, they all had poached eggs on toast, pork Sunday lunch and they have been snacking since.

Waiting for the tumble dryer to finish then i'm away to bed. I think the schools will be open as the roads are OK. Oh salted the paths earlier, it's good stuff and doesn't leave a mess everywhere like the stuff he got before.

Birds fed today oh brought them loads of stuff, lidls didn't have any bird food left, they always run out when the weathers bad, so he had to go to pets at home and pound land. I stayed at home and got him to take the kids peace and quiet.

Stay warm everyone and catch up tomorrow.
  • Katskorner I would try and avoid the other party time completely. Can you not chose another day even? The other people may already have accepted the other invite. You don't want your son to be faced with a rejection again. I'm sure his party will be best and all the kids will be talking about that and not the other one. Let us know how you get on.

Just trying if you are not happy with your GPs get in touch with your PCT and see if you cN change to another practice. Borders often overlap so you have a choice x

Morning all. Wake up you lazy lot!

Tucking into a nice bacon and tom sandwich here... yummmm. The weather is a bit confused, doesn't know whether to snow or melt.

Won't be having a dinner, tea is BBQ chicken. Ds' dad will be popping over so will probably do him some, but will make it up with the cheap fiery sausages I got lol.

Apart from my sarnie, today will be a nsd.
