Coupons via Facebook - you can set up an anonymous account with a new made up email address and still get coupons.
I only use Facebook for coupons, I've never ever used it for any other purpose apart from checking out some funeral arrangement!!
Don't miss out, some great coupons on Facebook and just think of it as an advertising site for some of the companies out there.

Hi All,
Weather here is dry but freezing cold. Has anyone got any thoughts on kitchen worksurfaces. I've been put off Corian as it is not heat resistant. Do I go for granite - not sure: or shall I have laminate which is a lot cheaper? Has anyone had experience of stainless steel - I somehow fancy that.
Back to the food and freezers. Needed to be creative with what was in the fridge, so tonight - please don't laugh:rotfl:I had some bread crusts left over from yesterday's toasted sandwiches. So in the food processer I combined them with some minced pork, an onion, some sage, salt and pepper. Made 8 sausage shapes, rolled them in egg and covered them in more breadcrumbs. They are cooking at the moment and then I'm going to but them in batter as a 'toad in the hole'.
Pudding - this is even more bizarre:- half a pt of milk, 4 eggs, a little sugar, 2 good dollops of mincemeat and even more breadcrumbs, all mixed together, put into the slow cooker surrounded by boiling water, I have a bit of cream which will go on the top when cooked.
Not bad on cost as mainly leftovers, the only cost was minced pork, - eggs, & onion were free and the mincemeat has been lurking for a couple of months in the cupboard0 -
Popped to Sainburys and garbage again - did pick up a large bloomer for 70p and used the 31p Brand Match coupon so 39p - I'll share it with the birds.
Went to Morries to use a Tesco £3 off £10 coupon and not much reduced, but did get 2 packs of haddock fillet @ 49p each and a pot of Cornish clotted cream for 9p (small pot). I really went for the Cushelle toilet rolls and bought 2 packs (16's) for £5 each and used 2 x 50p Cushelle coupons and the £3 coupon. So free food from Morries and almost £2 off the toilet rolls.
More toilet rolls for the loft and I might go back for more tomorrow as still 4 or 5 £3 coupons left. lol
39p spent today.
Pasta bake was nice and finished off the apple pie and cream and had [STRIKE]quite[/STRIKE] a few After Eights .............................. before 8!!!
Pasta bake left for myself tomorrow and see what hubby fancies.
zafiro1984 - granite is expensive, but will last and last and is quality.
Hope your food "experiments" went well.

Hi Ms_Night_Ryder xx
Husband forgot to take something out of freezer to defrost yesterday so I was caught on the hop tonight when he called and said he'd be late. I was stressing looking at some going bendy veg and nothing defrosted.
Rummaged in the freezer, found some Young's salmon fillet chunks I got half price and got creative. Oven-proof dishes, salvaged some salsify, Jerusalem artichokes and spuds (no spuds for me), peeled and diced up small plus spring onions and mixed in salmon, Sprinkled on Herbes de Provence found some leftover grated cheese to go on top, poured in some organic milk not quite to top of the veg, foil over and in the oven so all he had to do was whip it off to brown the cheese.
I called it Salmon Delmonico after Pommes Delmonico which is diced spuds in milk with fine breadcrumbs over. He had noo idea and loved itI did confess later
I may try it again with tinned as wild red on offer in Lidl atm.
Tomorrow I am going to Sainsbury's with my mother to look at veggie Christmas stuff for her. <gulp>
Anyway apologies for dashing in and dashing out again, I'm just not in supermarkets much now. OH told me that the week off he thought he would get before Christmas to go shopping is now cancelled cos too many people want it:eek: I may need combat gear for Sainsbury's on 21st !!

Morning all to a cold and frosty morning.
ms_night_ryder - I'll have a look at the Iceland/Sun offer, thanks.
Just toast again for breakfast - I'll have to check the porridge and start using that again now.
Popping to Tesco later to get some Herbal Essence for 12p (using coupon) and buying some food-bank stuff. I want to get my donation spends at £30 at least before Xmas and giving 2 donations before then.
Fingers crossed for the cheap tomato puree.
I need to work out how much of my £60 4 week budget is left, but will NOT go over ..................... even if I just need to get by on chocolate. lol
We've decided to continue the frugal spending to the end of the year, so this Xmas will not be extravagant, just a few luxuries. I'll take my Son for stuff he wants, but he'll only be home for 5 or 6 days. I'll be aiming at coming in at under £1300 for the year, so might use the £30 Nectar points on "goodies".

I am definitely shopping from my stores this month as I can't get another thing in there, and have £12.47 left from my November £100.00 budget.I am hoping that I will only need fresh milk as I have worked out how many days dinners I need for December.I go away for 10 day in December plus I have two nights out at friends for dinner so out of 31 days I have 21 left I am away this weekend so that takes care of another three, leaving 18 days .I have another four when I will be at different Chrismas functions so that leaves 14 days and I have at least a months supply in my freezer in portioned up meals that I have made from left over bits so no shopping at the supermarkets for me this coming month.:):)
Last night I had a pork chop from the freezer and some mash also from the freezer.I had a 50p reduced bag of shredded cabbage from M&S that my friend gave me,she didn't want anything for it as I usually give her a HM cake when I'm baking I had some of the cabbage with my dinner last night and tonights dinner will be bubble and squeek with a couple of sausages and and egg (cheapy meal, but comfort food:) only costs pennies really.
I made a rice pud yesterday and I have the tail end of a carton of cream to use up so that will be pudding
I am hoping by staying away from the supermarkets in December I can run down the freezer so in January I can maybe get a few bargains when some of the Christmas stuff is sold off.
I bought about 6 jars of luxury mincemeat last January in the sales for 20p each and they will be making my mince pies this year.
Forward planning is the key I think. So my 12 quid odd is going to last me until New Year hopefully. I always keep a seperate purse for my food shopping and only use what's in there, once its gone thats it until the next month:D If I manage this then I will have saved £100.00 towards my holiday for next year which will be taken from my bank accout and deposited in a high interest account which I put all my left over cash from my food budget in.
I budget for £100.00 per month for my 'houskeeping purse'It helps to focus on what your spending is and I never take anything extra out when I go to the food shops .Its really going back to the days of the 1960s when if you got paid on Friday it had to last you a week no matter what as once its gone then your broke until the next payday.Works for me and I have saved quite a bit towards my August holiday already:j0 -
