Morning all, bit brighter today.
chardonnay - late night or early morning?? lol
Not much in Sainsbury's reduced last night of value and I thought there may have been loads due to the weather. Maybe reduced earlier and I missed the bargains??
Bought a bloomer for 48p and a Sainsbury's Black Nanjing Rice with King Prawns reduced to 25p from £2.40 - hubby ate the rice meal last night and said it was worth the 25p. lol
Just toast for breakfast and I think naan bread pizzas later with wedgers.
Popping to Sainsbury's to use the £3 off £20 coupons and will get some of those Greek Gods yogurts free with the coupons, if they have any.
Welsh Poppy - my hubby used to make ginger beer, starting with a ginger beer "plant" I think. Too much hassle for himself now as I don't like ginger beer.
Did anyone get any Groupon credits yesterday?? I haven't checked all email addresses yet, but not noticed any.

Hi everyone i've been mia mainly because i havnet been that frugal, lots of chinese/chippy and 2 birthday parties here, however after relising i wasted over £100 last week on food and silly things (aswell as money for a party, party food 2 cakes, bikes for xmas and last quarters electric bill) i'm back, i will be shopping from my freezer for the next few weeks.
Monday we had the rest of the bread for toast and sandwichs at lunch, we had pork sholuder roast with mash and cabbage for dinner.
Yesterday we had some chicken and bacon casarole topped with mash and cheese so it was like a sheperds pie.
Today we all had cornflakes for breakfast, lunch will be cabbage and mash topped with cheese under the grill for ds lo from monday, and i'll have some of the lo sheperds pie thing from yesterday, dinner is sausage casarole (ready made from when my freezer broke down) mash and yorkshire puddings.
I lifted out a wheaten bread as we now have no bread, and i will not buy any until friday, yesterday i peeled the rest of my sack of spuds and turned them into roasties, i open frozen them on a tray last night and have just bagged them up into the freezer. It means i'm running low on spuds ow i have one small bag, so i will be instant mash with tonights dinner.
Tomorrow i'm thinking the rest of the wheaten bread for breakfast, lunch sausage rolls and dinner mince, cabbage and roasties.
Fri i'm thinking pizza for the kids and steak and chips with onion rings and peppercorn sauce when i get home from work.
Sat breakfast will be beans on toast with cheese, lunch will be soup and bread, and i'm out for dinner so it's up to hubby if he wants to take the kids out for dinner or make something here, i can't really say no if i'm out.
I plan to cook extra yorkshires today while i have the oven on and freeze them. I'll make extra onion rings on fri and freeze them aswell, i'm trying to build up some throw in the oven type stuff for when i'm working, or if hubbys up late working.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Having toast for breakfast this morning - probably have cous cous for lunch and for tea we're going to have something from the freezer, HM chips and some mushy peas/baked beans.
Will probably the same until next week as we're moving on Saturday hence me using up what we have - miss the fresh fruit and veggies we normally have but can't be overspending when frozen will do for a bit! We had the Iceland mixed frozen veg cooked in the steamer earlier this week and it was really nice so not complaining too muchAlthough if we get settled I will be getting some of the fresh broccoli from ALDI's super 6 next week

Generally, Groupon entice you with a £5 credit when you haven't used your account/s for a while or as a promotion.
The more accounts you have, the more chance of credits. So it's worthwhile having several dormant accounts.
quintwins - we are going to have fish and chips next week after my £60 4 week budget ends on Saturday.
I'll be using some of the £3 off £10 Tesco coupons in Morries next week stocking up on Xmas goodies. I'll get the whisky from Sainsbury's later and maybe the port.

Sounds yummy, my problem is we started selling the puppies and peopel paid teh cash in deposits, but it was vanishing, so i downloaded a spending app, and well lets say i need a good kick up the bum, it was only £10 here and £20 there but it soon added up, we've spend more this month than i prob have in the last 4, and def more than i intend to in the next 4, so now all cash get lodged and homemade dinner will be on the table every night for the foreseeable. Too much takeaway makes me ill anyway, it's silly i'm having pains but still eating itDEC GC £463.67/£450

quintwins - on a spending spree. lol
I'm not yet sure how to approach next year without a budget (that's a definite), but will not go "daft".
Our eating habits have changed a little this year and things like bags of salad haven't been bought, mainly because I can get better value for £1'ish.
I want to stock up for the full year on most things come January, but quite a bit of that is already in hand. I have washing liquid/powder/gel for over 1 year as well as conditioner. Shampoo, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, toothpaste etc are probably at the 1 year level, so will only need toppig up with coupons and bargains. Coffee will be bought up to 5kg come January (Nestle Shop) and I'm thinking of stocking up on tea-bags now.
I will be looking at bulk-buying offers like Lidl half-price chicken breasts etc (if they ever do them again!!) - probably double up twice on those.
Sorry forgot to ask, but those going on holiday soon, where are you lot going??
We planned on going away for Xmas and that was supposed to be our "treat" for having a frugal year.
Son's car paid to that a little and he's coming home on his own, so we need to be here.
Hubby still wants to go away abroad if only for a few days, but I don't and I'll win. lol

Evening all.
Had a massive takeout with a friend yesterday, we ordered so much - going to be eating it for another two days I reckon! She paid so I'm more than happy lol. Havent really touched much else in the house - havent been home much!
Tonight we have a eBay purchase thats being collected and tomorrow the Sky broadband and phoneline is being installed, and then I'm off out to see Colin Fry in the evening. Probably order a couple of drinks at the bar and enjoy that, really looking forward to it.
Back to normal by Friday - going to Homebase and Sainsbury's. Will be couponing in Sainsbury's and will try and use £7.50 worth of Nectar points in Homebase if we can.
Stay warm all0
