Well I have made a few purchases, bargains. But should need to buy nothing else at all , going away 14th for 3 weeks. Then when i get home ,still plenty of stock left.

had a homemade soup from freezer for lunch, and a Aldi lasagne for supper.
Do I need it or just want it.

Morning all after a wet night, the place is soaking!!

Popped in Sainsbury's, not no joy with reduced stuff and only bought 4 pints 1% milk @ £1, so £1.19 spent yesterday. I also managed to get another £3 off £20 till-spit, but probably won't be using that. I also managed to get another 4 Tesco £3 off £10 coupons, so will hit Morries next week and maybe get some Xmas stuff. Hopefully better drink offers there also next week.

No decent Groupon offers for myself, so not that fussed if I don't get any £5 credits today - though the credits last for a couple of day and something might pop up.
ms_night_ryder - that luxury ice-cream offer is still on. lol

Just toast for myself today for breakfast, pork casserole later and probably finish off the ham with a sandwich later. Hubby is having cereal, Honey Clusters for breakfast.

    credits?? plural?? lol

Recommend a "friend" for another £6 credit. ;)
They normally appear (credits) around 11.30'ish, so fingers crossed for you. I might ring my Son and see if he fancies the ice-cream.

  • Had a nice suprise, package from post office, didn't know what it was, wasn't expecting anything, copella had sent me a Emma bridgewater mug, its very sturdy as I dropped it on the pavement already and it hasn't broken.

Pork chops for dinner, frankfurters for lunch.

Definately trying to live out of the freezer. Just defrosting something in beef that I prepared earlier, or it could be lamb, time will tell?. Probably do dumplings or a shortcrust pastry top, not sure yet.
Pudding will be egg custard - maybe.

It's miserable here, the ground is sodden, the animals hate it. Fortunately the hens have loads of cover in the woods and under the conifers, the boys (stallions) hate this weather and much prefer to be indoors, the alpacas look like sheep gone wrong but at least they have a good thick coat and plenty of shelter. I don't mind the cold as long as it's dry, it's the rain that is horrible. At least we're in no danger of being flooded. It is really tragic for those who have animals and have to cope with floods as well, so I really must stop moaning.

Just looked in the cupboard - no suet - I forgot to replace it, well that certainly means shortcrust pastry.

Have been using up a few things out of the freezer - soups out of freezer tonight with banana cake (last over-ripe bananas) and custard (last carton of custard, every time in-laws come over they bring dessert and 2 cartons of custard of which 1 never gets used). Last night was honey chicken for OH and whoopsie tuna steak for me. Lunch tomorrow is chickpea curry out of freezer for me, OH will have sarnies.

After doing a meal plan for the week I needed a few things so went to Sainsbugs and only got those things on the list, yay! No till spit which was probably good as I am not tempted to go back just to use it.

Did well last week though, had a couple of things to get in sainsbugs on Friday, got a £3 off £20 spend voucher. Whilst in the queue they announced about their wine offer so went to the car and dropped off my bags then back in to get 6 bottles of fave wine and use the voucher - bargain.

Probably need to re-inventory the freezer as am sure a few things have snuck in which I haven't added and have taken things out and not updated - not looking forward to that as it is a big chest freezer and the bottom is a long reach for a shortie like me!
