Hi All,
Freezer emptying mission still ongoing... must make room for the turkey and pork asap. Yesterday used up two tubs of HM meals and some fish fingers too. Today going to dig out some bits and pieces to go with the reduced salad that is in the fridge. Aiming to get a joint out or chicken for Sunday and not put anything in. Wish me luck!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Went to Waitrose and Sainsbury's with my mother. Vacuumed up some reduced cheese in Waitrose for OH - Lancashire, Cornish Brie, Morbier - and the Brie was only 45p ! Cheese seems about the only YS stuff I manage to get !
Waitrose and Ocado both have the Yeo Valley organic live yogurt 500g 2 for 2.50
Organic Weetabix (24) Sainsbury's price online earlier this week 2.48, in-store today 2.69 but I didn't mind too much because Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado price is 2.99
Noticed that Waitrose was YSing loads of the non-organic Heston mince pies, I think maybe pine sugar on top isn't too popular ?0 -
Evening all.
Hardly spent anything for myself today, but got bits for the foodbank.
Home Bargains - bought a packet of dry roasted nuts @ 99p and 2 40g packets of Red Sky crisps @ 19p each - total £1.37
Tesco, just a bottle of peach water @ 33p
Food spends = £1.70
I bought a couple of reduced plants, loads to choose from.
I also bought a couple packs of fat-balls from Home Bargains.
Foodbank:
6 x Baxters soups @ 3 for £2 and used 6 x 50p coupons = £1
10 x Value toffees @ 20p = £2
5 x Value sweet pickle @ 24p = £1.20
3 x Cornflakes @ 31p = 93p
2 x Herbal Essence shampoo @ £1 and used 2 x £1 coupons (free)
Total = £5.13
I've got enough for next Thursdays donation with the rest of what's stashed and bulked with Heinz 5 Beanz. I might try and get more Baxters soup before Thursday and possibly more Sainsbury's tea-bags, we'll see.
Most of the Nestle Factory Shop bargains have disappeared, but hope they return for the final foodbank donation on the 13th December.
Took out some rump steak for my main meal tomorrow and will have with fried onions and chips. Hubby is having a mixed grill with pork chop, kidneys, sausages and black pudding (onions and chips) - quite a bit out of the freezer there and probably sausage sandwiches for breakfast.
Going to Morries tomorrow to get £10 worth of stuff for £7 using another £3 Tesco coupon and that may be it - veg can wait until next week.
Probably do Sainsbury's also to get the whisky and port and use a £3 off £20 coupon. I'll have to work out how to mix in the Greek God's coupons.
Welsh Poppy - well done on £13 savings, did you print 2 shampoo coupons?? The smaller bottles are £1.12 and some of the old style small bottles £1 (free).

Evening all, really cold here, i mean freezing. Was in town today geting ds his main crimbo present getting there eventually. You would have been laughing today if you saw me taking dd to school today i nearlly feel on my bum a few times, she normally walks home herself but said if it's still frosty come and pick me up so i did and 3 of us nearlly went flying. The school play ground is just as bad really dangerous. Well the food plan today was brekkie just a cup of tea, lunch i know it's terrible but i had a bag of haribos and dinner was pork chops, fried tatties with bacon aldis ones and cabbage. Don't worry everyone else had packed lunches so i only had haribos but my daughter saw the receipt and wasn't happy i didn't buy her any, i told her i was thinking about her teeth but don't think it washed!!. Hope you all have a lovely evening, i am off for my glass of vino now:).0

Thanks Lynsey about your comments on granite worksurfaces. I would just love those in sparkly black but I've been quoted over 10K just for plain black so it's hard to justify the cost, so I'm wondering about any alternatives folk may have had experience of.
Breakfast - usual, fruit for me, cereal for DH
Lunch - DH egg on toast, me a couple of slices of toast and a handful of nuts.
Tea - lambs hearts for DH plus plums with a toffee covering for pud, me - left over veg in fridge as a stir fry plus a bit of leftover ham, yogurt for pud.
No shopping at all today, but the water bill arrived - not too bad - must pay it tomorrow before I forget.0 -
Morning
