Afternoon.
Been a done a couple of shops and used my main coupons.
Morries:
9 x loose cans beer @ 49p per can = £4.41
Morries Cheddar cheeses (350g) @ £2
2 x Typhoo tea bags (160's) @ £1.99 = £3.98
Sub total = £10.39
Used £3 Tesco coupon
Total = £7.39
Food spend = £2.98 (minus £3 coupon)
Sainsbury's:
Part 1:
Whisky (Grouse 1 litre) @ £14
3 x Greek God's yogurt @ £2
Sub total = £20
Used £3 off £20 and 3 x £2 yogurt coupons - minus £9
Total £11 for a litre of whisky and some freebies. lol
Part 2:
Dow's Reserve Port @ £6.99
2 x packs of beer (8 500ml bottles) @ 2 for £9
4 x Cheese truckles @ 4 for £3
Shaws fruity chutney @ £1.14
Sub total = £20.14
Used £3 off £20 coupon
Total = £17.14
Food spend £1.14 (minus £3 coupon)
Tesco:
Pack mini stotties @ 65p
My food spends for the day so far and using coupons to my advantage = £4.77 and just under weeks planned amount and on track for £60 for 4 weeks. I did gave to be inventive with coupons though and took them off food spends rather than drinks, well apart from the whisky.
Really popped into Tesco to get more Baxter's soups as was passing and bought another 6 cans of soup for foodbank @ £1 - 3 for £2 and used another 6 x 50p coupons.
Had my sausage sandwich and will just snack until steak and chips later.
Welsh Poppy - you can print 2 coupons per pc and if you photo-copied them they can be traced back. I would give that a miss as you may get your account blocked.
ms_night_ryder - I never tried the Sun/Iceland promotion. Hope the other stuff is better than mini burgers.
Think I'll not bother shopping any more today and start afresh tomorrow.
It's my final set of 6 weeks spends today and I'll tot up later. Only 4 more full weeks left and an odd couple of days.
I need to start buying Xmas snacks and may look in M&S next week, but will only buy great offers. I'll keep the little truckles for Xmas and got some bits already.

Ocado order arrived this morning. OH pleased with the top-up stuff I got for his lunches - BN French chocolate biscuits 25% off, Maynards wine gums 48p off and imported Kraft Dinner macaroni cheese 10% extra and 10% off. Also got total of 25% off the organic 11 variety veg box with total savings pass + special offer, saving 4.50
I've been whinging about our washing machine for months. It's a secondhand Zanussi which we've had since we got married in 1995. The spin can't handle towels now, it takes forever, it's noisy and one corner is going rusty. But as it hadn't actually conked out OH was being a scrooge.
Got a phone call from my mother this morning saying she didn't know what to get me for Christmas and she had John Lewis on the other phone and could she just check that she had got the make and model right of the washing machine I had shown her months ago. I was :T:D all at the same time. So yeah I'm officially a jammy moo now I guess and it arrives next Thursday.
OH went to Sainsbury's for some packs of 4 organic wholemeal rolls for £1 and all gone but he did come back with two boxes of the biggest Ecover powder. Was 12.99 now 9.74
Rummaged in freezer and pulled out frozen langoustine stock made from shells of £3 boxes of frozen langoustines from Morrisons plus fish - a whole YS rascasse (gurnard) from Morrisons that's been in there months, Tregida Cornish sprats from Abel & Cole which are cheap and look soo cute plus the rest of the bag of Young's frozen wild Alaskan salmon chunks (50% off at Ocado) and it's simmering to be turned into soupe de poissons for dinner.
Good fish clear out from freezer, just leaves two YS Waitrose organic brown trout and a special offer Ocado ready to cook mackerel pack.
This year's resolution was to eat more fish, for next year I'm thinking of buying more organic food online from independent shops and farms and see if I can get more bargains.0 -
Lynsey, I got the after dinner Icecream mints, they are Yummy.
Spent £4.10 today £1.50 on sun newspapers and £2.60 on Mr w, easy cook chicken breast and haddock in a creamy sauce, both serve 2 and a bottle of ginger beer.
Think I was nervous about the meat drawer going empty.
So thus weeks spends are £7.50 may go and do a mr s shop tomorrow.
Took out the mr w chicken breast strips and made them into crispy goujons, had it with leftover rice, last of the purple stem brocolli and the last of the frozen peas, no veg left, so will add to the list for tomorrows shop.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Might be a step too far, E, but I know of two independent farms that offer a free veg box in return for a day's volunteering! I would be tempted if I didn't have an allotment... but, even to buy, the veg boxes are cheaper than via Ocado etc though one is only in conversion to org but local indie farms should offer better value. I still have a list of indie places I want to visit for food shopping in Sussex and Kent. I also got quite a bit of Ecover in Sainsbury's this month, some good prices - the washing liquid (I get the liquid non conc) works out cheaper even at full price than the branded conventional stuff.
Lynsey - looks like your area is in for some snow tomorrow from the looks of what I just saw on the weather, looks a bit hairy up that way!
Not much to report, I've been trying to stay out of the supermarkets after my organic shop visit - this month has been my most expensive month in the whole year by far, mostly due to my temporary vegan experiment and all the new foods I bought. After 3 disasters this month leaving me up to my eyes in debt and fairly much at crisis point, I've had to resort to using up what has been in the freezer since last year... I now have quite a large hole appearing at last! It won't be empty by the end of the year but probably by Jan as I won't be adding to it.
So, back on to the soup in the freezer - managed to make it reasonably eatable by adding in lots more spices and plenty of dukkah on top. I still have about 2 week's worth of portions which I will now eat. Got 1 pack of Quorn to use up and plenty of home grown beans I can put in pasta or make into bean burgers, should see me through December easily. Will make dips from pulses and hm bread for lunches, will have to buy veg, salad and fruit but hope not too much else.0 -

Hi everyone! Nice afternoon down at the Victorian Christmas Fayre and a trip to visit the new B&M that opened yesterday.
Freezer emptying mission continues with 3 mini pizzas, potato footballs and 5 tubs of tapas out for tea tonight. I will find room for that turkey and pork! lol
Chicken is out for tomorrow and also a pack of finest roastie potatoes that we found lurking in there. Probably dig out a few cream donuts and a choux cherry bun for dessert tomorrow too if I fancy it in the morning... the boys will like that!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

No further spends, so weeks food spends were £12.13. I got loads for that by abusing/tweaking coupons, but it's got to be done on a strict budget!!
So [STRIKE]bore you time[/STRIKE] update time again.
Weeks 1-6 = £84.74
Weeks 7-12 = £126.69
Weeks 13-18 = £165.57
Weeks 19-24 = £113.86
Weeks 25-30 = £130.98
Weeks 31-36 = £136.14
Weeks 37-42 = £169.08
Weeks 43-48 = £114.46
48 weeks total = £1044.52
48 weeks average = £21.76
46 weeks average = £22.71 (taking into account 2 weeks on holiday)
4 weeks left leaving an average of £113.87, but want to come in at under £1300 and I only wish I had been brave enough to have set a £1200 at the start of the year .................. I was a "scary cat".
I would love to come in under £1200, but that's touch and go. I do have quite a bit Xmas stuff with biscuits, pickles etc and it could still be done. See how the next 2 weeks go!! Son will spend a bit on luxuries and veggie stuff, so that could be the problem!! Maybe I'll ban him from coming home this year ........................ unless he brings his own food. lol
Kirri - I fear snow to be honest, we were talking about it yesterday as the weather had that "snow feel". My hubby actually said that it could well be a white Xmas. We live pretty much on the coast, so don't get it as bad as the higher places.
Steak meal tonight was luvvly jubbly (Sainsbury's "whoopsy") and was like a little joint and only 99p.
I might get some Morries rump steak and try and get as near as possible to £10 and use a £3 coupon.
I desperately need veg next week, milk tomorrow and bits and pieces.
Foodbank donations for this week are looking good, easy 50 tins as a starter. They need tinned veg, so looking for that before Thursday.
Running out of ink now and need a coffee with a free Thornton's Vienesse bar.
