I've just sat and watched the BBC1 Documentary Britain's Hidden Hungry - did anybody see it - I am in floods of tears - I am going to find my nearest foodbank and start donating - even if its only a tin of beans

donna- well done on making laundry stuff - let us know how it works!! ;)

    HM Washing Powder

Right so I did a load of blacks - got to say I am impressed, they are clean, they don't smell as nice as Arial or Daz but that's prob because I fell asleep and forgot to add the Fabric Conditioner  (I always add mine towards the end of the cycle before final rinse)

Doing whites today so will report back!

pamsdish - welcome to the thread. Sorry about your loss, not an easy time - take care and I wish you well.
A lot off food for one, but the positive is you'll not have to spend much. If you can meal plan (I'm useless at it), then you'll only need to buy bits 'n' bobs to go with your hoard.
    Good luck with the challenge.

Not hungry, so just a coffee (well a couple of coffee's) with digestives.
Snack for lunch and gammon (topped with honey and cheese) later with roast veg and sweetcorn.

ONLY buying milk today and hoping for a NSD tomorrow.
Still a few coupons to use, but that's for next week.
Only a few weeks left for the Heinz 5 Beanz coupons, so max up if you like them or planning to donate them. I'm more or less done with them now!!

Taking MIL to train station and probably get my milk from Lidl and see if I can pick up next weekends offers leaflet.

Morning all, hope all are well.

lemmings1986 - the Heinz coupon was a while back and got pulled, possibly down to abuse. :o:o
Still valid for a couple of weeks.

pamsdish - I'm looking forward to the new Super 6, hope it's not fruit biased.

katskorner - good luck with the Birthday, hope it goes well.

donnajt - I'm sorting a foodbank box out today and may pop down later with it. Trying another foodbank this time at a Church.

Only spent £1 on milk yesterday in Lidl (never had next weeks leaflet). Nothing needed today at all, so spends will be very low this week. I want to buy something from Sainsbury's to try and get a £3 or £4 off £20 till spit .................... I've got a till spit for 400 points (£2), but I'm greedy. :D
Sainsbury's have Grant's whisky (700ml) for £10 and need some whisky for Xmas pressies. I might buy another Bertolli if I put the lottery on later and see if I get lucky with a till spit ................ desperate times. lol

Just toast for breakfast and I made a pear crumble (Tesco 15p pears) and have that to finish. Prawn stir fry tonight.

It's killing me not going to Lidl for the 17p chocolate, but got the Nestle Factory Shop order to pick up on Tuesday and choccies in that order.

    Enjoy your weekend.

Sorry about recent problems but folks here do help. I dont think you have any trouble at the moment with all your stocks and I would also suggest you get onto the coupons thread. I have "bough" about 100 cans of beans - have only used 2 myself, the others have gone to food bank, I have also had loads of Greens, ditto food bank. It makes me feel better that I have helped others even though I do not have much money to spare. Good luck on your stash, keep that up. Consider making own bread, it tastes better and you can make fresh as and when you need it. I use instant tea with milk powder in it, I usually only make a cup for me every so often.
    Best of luck
  • morning all

shepherd's pie is in the oven - well the base for it anyway.....smells A-MAZ-ING and I love my DM so very very much at this present time!! Even if I have to wait for dinner after work in order to eat it.

Had the ww piri piri freebie meal last night - must say it was very good and would recommend it! bit spicy in places though, not used to a lot of spice and had to eat some bread to take the heat off! lol.

trying to decide what to have for lunch - dont have much in the house at the moment - small food shop tomorrow - that doesnt require cooking, and dont want to have too much in the way of carbs now because I'll be eating potato later <3 Might have to do a raid and see what I can come up with lol.

    Evening all.

    Got lucky in Sainsbury's tonight.

Went through s/scan till with Bertolli and 1 free Heinz 5 Beanz and got a £2 off £20 coupon - 45p spend was my only food spend today for myself.
    Bertolli 95p, Beanz 85p = £1.80
    Used 50p Bertolli and 85p Beanz coupon = 45p

BTW _ Sainsbury's have the Heinz 5 Beanz @ 2 for £1.50 - so extra 20p off shop. Wish I had used 2 with Bertolli and I would have got Bertolli for 25p!!

Then my proper shop at Sainsbury's:

Grants whisky @ £10 (Xmas pressie)
    2 x WW Piri Piri meals @ £3 = £6
    2 x Special K Moments @ £1.99 = £3.98
    2 x Heinz 5 Beanz @ 2 for £1.50 = £1.50 (foodbank)
    14 x Packets of oxtail soup (reduced) @ 20p = £2.80 (foodbank)
    3 x Chocolate Supreme dessert (reduced) @ 18p = 54p (foodbank)
    Sub total = £25.02
    Used 2 x WW (scanned @ £2.99 = £5.98), 2 x Special K (£3.98), 2 x Heinz 5 Beanz (£1.70 + 20p off buy 2)) and £2 off £20 - minus £13.86
    Total = £11.16
Whisky £10, so giving the £2 off £20 and extra 20p off Beanz to foodbank stuff - £1.16 for £3.34 worth of donation stuff).

Also used 400 points when spend £20 coupon, so I'm happy with the extra £2 added to Nectar balance.

My food spends this week was only £8.07 - so I can do it when I try. lol

Having the stir fry soon and made pasta bake for tomorrow. Some stuff came out of the freezer, but not that you'd notice!!

Need to print more Beanz coupons to get the extra 20p's - I wasn't going to do any more either once last few coupons had been used.

EDIT: Waitrose have the Beanz @ 2 for £1.20 if you have access to a nearby Waitrose. 50p off your shopping if you get lucky - offer ends 04/12, well after coupon end date.
