I've got a bag of wholemeal flour I want to use up, don't want to make bread and thought wraps would be a good idea as I've got quite a lot of bits and bobs in the fridge that would go well in wraps. Ive tried a search but they all seem to use White flour. Thanks
I found it really difficult to make wraps using wholemeal, really dry, difficult to roll and didn't freeze well!
I've had a bad day, the car decided to self destruct at a scarily humongous cost  Despite my fairly destitute state for the foreseeable future, I had to go and buy some more vegan food on the way home.0 -
Evening all.
Popped into Sainsbury's (couldn't stay away) and there were quite a few bargains.
Only bough a few:
Salmon fillets (were £3) - 74p
Quiche (was £2.29) - 59p
Lady Balfour potatoes (were £3) - 69p
Bertolli (offer) - 95p
Sub total = £2.97
Used 50p Bertolli coupon and 38p Brands Match coupon - minus 88p
Total = 2.09
I wouldn't have bought the potatoes as I bought some yesterday, but they are quite a good one and organic (Edwardia).
Just need milk tomorrow and that's it .................. unless there is a silly offer.
I want some McCains chips with 50p coupons, but will wait for space, hopefully next week before offer ends.

Hi can I join the challenge please, my husband died in June and I am still shopping for 2 big eaters, I am still paying funeral expenses, which should be finished in October next year,I have worked my budget out and after all my exs are covered I have 50 pounds a week to play with.:o
So I am on a diet and have 2 freezers ,1 upright 6 drawers,1 fridge freezer 3 drawer and they are both full. Cupboards are full I have had to start putting excess in hall cupboard !!!
Not to mention 3 big packs of toilet rolls in spare bedroom ::rotfl::rotfl:
So if I join in it will force me to use it up, I buy powdered milk as I don`t use it in drinks,I freeze my bread,so just veggies to buy, and I have a load of ready prepared in freezer.:o same with freezable fruits ,blackberries were very good this year,
looking forward to contributing and reading your posts.
I will not be going to shops again this week,so will start my spending on Monday.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
Hi pamsdish, sending you my deepest condolences on the death of your husband, it must be such a sad time with so much adjusting to do
Send me some loo roll please!!!! we have a loo roll monster(s) in our house
Your freezers sound amazing - it will be so interesting to see how long you survive without having to restock them
I started by doing a whole stock take of everything we have, I have bought so many odd things I am loving tracking down recipes that we will enjoy to use these up - the kids and I are making chocolate brownies using weetabix that I bought for my nephew who stayed over a year ago...so these are on hitlist today
Blackberries...that reminds me the brambles from next doors garden are trailing over...am going to check to see if they are full of blackberries yet0 -

{{{hugs}}} My sympathies to you, pamdish. I dont like to go on about it but my Dad died in August - horrible shock to me and my DM, as I still live at home I'm taking care of the bills and such for her at the moment. The challenges on these boards really help to focus your mind, I find it's helped me out a lot, and there are always lovely people who support you and help you out along the way, albeit virtually! :rotfl:
Loo roll monsters though.....yes I think theres one in our house too *whistles*0 -

pamsdish - welcome to the thread. Sorry about your loss, not an easy time - take care and I wish you well.
A lot off food for one, but the positive is you'll not have to spend much. If you can meal plan (I'm useless at it), then you'll only need to buy bits 'n' bobs to go with your hoard.
Good luck with the challenge.
Not hungry, so just a coffee (well a couple of coffee's) with digestives.
Snack for lunch and gammon (topped with honey and cheese) later with roast veg and sweetcorn.
ONLY buying milk today and hoping for a NSD tomorrow.
Still a few coupons to use, but that's for next week.
Only a few weeks left for the Heinz 5 Beanz coupons, so max up if you like them or planning to donate them. I'm more or less done with them now!!
Taking MIL to train station and probably get my milk from Lidl and see if I can pick up next weekends offers leaflet.

Well the food plan today is toast and tea which i am having just now, lunch i think i will have boiled eggs and for tea it will either be chilli and rice or mince, tatties, dumplings and veg - mince anyway as i've taken it out the freezer. Have a nice day everyone.0
