Had a "trouting" today in Asda, but just walked away and left what I was going to buy, mainly Brothers stuff.
Off to use my Comet gift-card before I lose that.

Found my crisp coupon, going near the Sainsburys I already went to, so will get ww meal, crisp and.beans after that no more shopping at all.
Seeing my cousin and grandma tomorrow, will bring 10 tins of beans found out my grandma donated to the church, who give to the poor or something, will bring some moments for them all to try both flavours.
Haven't managed to cook today, so guess I will have a ww meal, had the hot smoked salmon one for lunch today already, will have piri piri, I have had.piri twice this week already lil, but I do.like it, so its fine.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Hi All,
Home again and wishing back at the hotel as it was lovely! I think we may just go again....
You would be proud. While away we bought ys stuff on first day from asda for lunch plus 6 x five beans from asda. used coupons for free beans and meant only spent £3.21.... cheap lunch for five that! Pooped back on way to hotel and got a hot chicken reduced to £3.50 and some reduced bread and salads and spent abotu £6 which then fed all of us that night. Considering we were going to a harvester we didn;t need to with the reductions stuff and had masses to eat. Next day we had hotel brekky and brought out some fruit and ham and bread with us and muffins too. Noone was hungry till night then we used up food we had from brekky and from previous day so didn't need to buy anymore! We did bake a cake I had ys from mr t that we had brought with us and cooked in our Remoska which the kids loved! Again no spends! Day after on the way home via the national space centre, we wombled more bread and ham and cheese and made sarnies for lunch and then popped to asda on way home and bought a bag of curry for a fiver (which we still have as not actually been hungry enough yet!) and got kids a portion of chips from chippy £1.40 plus 7 fish fingers from freezer.
Not been shopping till today when i went for glitch wine (spent £84 on £160 of wine averaging £1.75 a bottle - mega bargain and that sorts Christmas out) and then hubby went to get beer and came back with a great haul of reductions down to pence. might send him again!
all I really need is eggs - got birthday cakes to make next week.... ds1 is 9.... ooer..3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

'Trouting'??
Hope you spent your Comet gift card, wouldn't want to be holding onto one of those
I've had a crap first vegan day, I've decided I don't like it though maybe I'm just not in the right frame of mind for that at the moment as I have too many other things going on and I don't have a great deal of vegan foods in so not a great start. I made a strange vegan cake too but I did use up the cocoa. Trying to plan a meal out as well and that will be ultra crap as a vegan so I hmm may go veggie0 -
Morning all, had a bacon sandwich for breakfast and sausages with onion gravy later and finish off the potatoes.
Kirri - "trouted", I got declined with my Special K coupons in Asda yesterday. Put in a complaint and hoping for a £10 gift-card for my troubles. lol
Managed to use the Comet gift-card and bought a kettle. I only had about £15, but didn't want to lose it. Put a fiver to it.
Got a few more things yesterday:
Freebies:
4 x Special K Moments
Bought:
Butternut squash @ 69p
3 x packs of back bacon @ £1.29 = £3.87
Pukka pie (reduced) @ 36p
Pack 8 cans RD cola (reduced) @ 75p
2 x Packs of Magnums (reduced) @ 50p = £1
Total = £6.67
Yesterdays total = £12.79 (OUCH!!)
Special K freebies coupon today is the Cracker Crisps - managed to print 3, but would have loved more - great promotion though.
Not too sure if I'll shop today, but still quite a few Special K stuff to get. I might try Sainsbury's later and see if there any reduced veg bargains.
I'll pop to Lidl tomorrow for some onions and maybe just wait until then to get the Special K stuff.
Started my Xmas shopping yesterday and bought some M&S stuff - large boxes of chocolates are half-price @ £5 per 600g box and the boxes of chocolate biscuits are half-price @ £3. Luckily they were giving samples out of chocolates, biscuits and cava - had our elevenses there (bit late). :rotfl:
EDIT: Kirri - agree with others, don't push your vegan experiment if it's not for you. I can understand not eating meat, but I don't really go with the vegan thing.

I totally understand where you are coming from there, Kirri. I tried going vegan last year and I must have lasted about 4 weeks. I am vegetarian anyway so thought it wouldn't be too much of a hassle but I just struggled to make it interesting. I am very envious of these people who can live quite happily with a vegan lifestyle as it fits in with all my principles but in reality I personally can't do it.
Good luck if you decide to carry on but don't beat yourself up too much if you find you can't.
Went money off mental yesterday in Mr A. Used quite a few freebie coupons for Special K stuff and Weight Watchers meals and some money off too. The lady at the till was very patient and seemed to enjoy taking money off my bill haha. Unfortunately had some huffers behind me. Never mind, people need to chill a littleHi, my name's Katy and I'm a (former) spendaholic! :wave:NSD - November Challenge - 7/105/11/12 - 7 Weeks to Christmas Weight Loss Challenge! 2/140 -
Kirri keep vegetarian, no point torturing yourself, food should be enjoyed especially freebies haha.
Had reduced chicken and potatoes from the Mr s hot counter, resisted a torte and other reduced goodies, I really have no space, got more freebies, crisps, ww meal and beans.
Only got 1 coupon for.the crisps today, need to make a start on the other breakfast stuff. X5 grapefruits, 10 sachets of porridge, 10 cinnamon bagels and 8 crumpets, that should do me at least a month as i sometimes miss breakfast, wish I had some special k cereal lol, but in total I paid £2.59 for the above breakfast stuff, original value £7+ lol, eating bagels and crumpets should make some room in freezer, determined to make space for December bargains, no more freezer buying this month at all, if its not fresh or free, I'm not buying, pleased with my weeks spends, not going near the shops thus weeeeekend.
Chilli for dinner, jacket potato and cheese for lunch, going to put 4 potatoes In at once very mse lol.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

been loving the coupons lately especially as i missed out on the beans and greens. so far have got loads of special k moments : blueberry and strawberry, special k red berries cereal (6 boxes), and loads of w/w meals. these have been really handy as hubby has just started night shift so if we don't have a leftovers h/m meal he takes one of these. he prefers the home made but says they are quite nice except the chilli was a bit bland. going to buy him a small bottle of hot sauce to keep at work so he can spice up the bland ones. i've also been sending him the the moments for his tea break.
yesterday i took a box of the special k clusters plus 4 w/w meals to mil and fil and it felt good, especially as they have helped us so much recently:D.
ms night rider, was it waitrose you got the hot salmon meal? would love to get that for hubby but don't have a waitrose anywhere near us:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090
