Hi all ! About to get into DIY mode yet again so just popped in to say hi and please consider yourselves hugged xxx
Went to Waitrose Monday and they were doing 4 packs ie 24 cans essential Waitrose dog food for £10. Iceland has 800g Burgen loaves for £1 and are doing 2 for 1.50 on Heinz big soups and 2 x 4 pack Heinz spaghetti for £3 and I think same for the baked beans.
NSD for me but I need to get some food before weekend.
Kirri I went from size 22 to size 14 by low carbing and no nothing mad Atkins ish. Started on max 100g carbs per day then 50g0 -
Halloween is very quiet in my little cul-de-sac now, despite being very, very busy a few years back. Not many little ones about now!! Sad, but saves getting up every 5 or 10 minutes.
No one has been round here tonight though I have sat in the dark all night bar the light of the tv/pc! If I lived in a nicer area I might be more willing to open the door.Kirri I went from size 22 to size 14 by low carbing and no nothing mad Atkins ish. Started on max 100g carbs per day then 50g
OMG that is a huge change!! I've no idea how much 100g or 50g would equate to, to know how much I eat in a portion. I like to eat all food groups but I've noticed I feel too full and less able to digest a meal quickly if I eat them and try and do anything after - ie mainly if I'm going to the gym and I've found a veg/protein meal fills me up enough but I can train afterwards without getting indigestion and I feel so much better on it too - so it's sort of been quite interesting.
I need to find more alternatives for breakfast though esp in November if I can't have eggs or Quorn bacon and don't want too many carbs - I usually end up having just a banana lately! Maybe I'll add a soya yoghurt or something though I did make bread today which I don't do so often now.0 -
my special k has changed to honey clusters now. i clicked to get the red berries but i was too late and didn't notice till the coupon printed. didn't want these so will get them for mil if she will use them. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090

Hi everyone, I had a NSD yesterday, I thought we were having chicken curry for dinner but when I got home DH and DS were nowhere to be seen and no dinnner was prepared... so instead of nipping over to Tescos I got some sausages and Mccain hash brown waffles out the freezer, we had bacon, eggs, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, bread and some mushrooms which had seen better days in the kitchen and made a yummy fry up! All free!! :-)Nov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails

Morning all.
Weather was not good last night and nobody about, so lots of fun size sweets left ................... God knows what I'm going to do with them??
Just popped the bread-maker on, so bread to bake in 90 minutes time. Think we'll have bacon butties again.
No meal plans for today, I'll have a look later, but possibly fish and chips??
Managed to get another 2 Special K Honey Clusters, but very limited now. Bigger dates, so they'll do for the Tesco shop a week after next. I wouldn't mind just 2 more Special K coupons. Whatever happens tomorrow, this has been a great promotion and hope another follows it.
The Special K Cracker Crisps (100g) are quite nice, but would never pay the price for them, not even £1 promotion price. Red Sky crisps (cheese and bacon) @ 59p (150g) from Home Bargains win every time. lol

Lynsey Ill pm you my address for the sweets! :rotfl:
seriously tho you could make them into xmas hampers of some kind or donate to foodbanks if you are still doing that (not to the ones that took money perhaps , lots give away for free) as bet kids would love that as a "treat"
Have eaten out a couple of times this week but enough in freezer to do us a while , hoping to see big gaps in both freezer and cupboards by xmas!
Have also used up some odds and ends of bread from freezer, and some veg. plannin on making soup at the weekend and possibly chilli/casserole (depending on freezer space tho!)
Only just over 7 weeks of my £400 challenge left with *ahem * £15 to go!! will see if can make it on milk/bread/fruit (aldi super six comes to mind!) and coupons/free stuff which of course dont count! :rotfl:0 -
GLITCH ALERT! GLITCH ALERT! GLITCH ALERT!
If you haven't already seen it, Tesco wine glitch is back on.
Just been and it works and works best with the Ogio wine which is on offer @ 3 for £12 (£9.99 per bottle).
6 x Ogio @ £9.99 = £59.94
3 for £12 offer - minus £35.94
25% off offer - minus £14.99
Total = £9.01
£1.50 per bottle
Both Merlot and Chardonnay
Bougtt 2 lots, so a few Xmas pressies sorted.
Food buys:
10 x Goplana chocolate @ 25p = £2.50
2 x Rachel's meatball meal (reduced) @ 62p = £1.24
2 x Linda Mc Veggie prawns? (reduced) @ 62p = £1.24
2 x TTD nut roast cutlets @ 57p = £1.14
Food spends so far = £6.12
Loads and loads of Linda Mc stuff reduced, but no space.
Took out some cod and haddock for lunch and a pack of sausages for tomorrow. Filled the gaps with the above bargains, so full again!!
Had a quick toasted teacake for breakfast and baking bread now. We'll have the bacon butties for lunch and fish and chips tonight.

ms_night_ryder - thanks for the Special K update.
Printed off 9 biscuit coupons - eventually remembered an old Facebook account I used to use for the free milk Fridays.
Remembered too late, just think of all the Special K coupons I've lost.
Last day tomorrow, I wouldn't mind more cracker crisps.

Veggie prawns and nut roast, Lynsey, you sound worse than me
I had a totally uninspiring bit of toast with vegan marge and marmite this morning, did nothing for me at all. I've even run out of bananas. I also don't really have anything in for lunch 'ready to eat' apart from some MG couscous I won but that is full of sulphites so I don't fancy it.. or more toast which I don't fancy either. Taken out the Moroccan hm stew for tonight as too lazy to cook anything.0
