Having some strange meals trying to use up things... but progressing well with clearing out the food! Even my storage jars I emptied last week sold at the weekend so I posted those off today and dropped some old clothes off at the recycle bank at the same time so clearing out all round
Only bought fruit and bit of salad stuff today but will source some vegan equivalents to Quorn later in the week - I have enough meals planned for the month ahead if I don't bother shopping again albeit it could be a bit repetitive..0 -
I couldn't find the WW meals in four stores I went to today. Then I found them at local Sains, and the barcode wouldn't scan. It was touch and go as to whether they would accept them. Is this because so many people have downloaded them, or because the barcode was just rubbish?

I didn't find them in Tesco, Morrisons, or Asda. And it was excruciating in Mr S...

I used a free WW coupon at my Asda's self service till today, it triggered a price prompt and a CSA but they put it through fine. Won't push it though and will use one per visit. Sainsburys weren't at all impressed with the free cereals, it's usually the other way round I find. Good luck to everyone using them.Hi, my name's Katy and I'm a (former) spendaholic! :wave:NSD - November Challenge - 7/105/11/12 - 7 Weeks to Christmas Weight Loss Challenge! 2/140

I had a few hours to myself yesterday morning so had my free special k cereal coupons and weight watchers coupons. My local Morrisons don't have the WW meals. I managed to get one in Sainsburys and Asda and the coupon scanned fine in both of them no problem, first time I have managed to find the meals. I also used the special k coupons. So only doing coupon shopping yesterday, did well in savings.
I will only use one WW coupon at a time, don't want to be refused. Has anyone tried the meals yet, what are they like? Any good? If so, which is your favourite.

Managed to get 10 meals frozen on Sunday from my leg of lamb and fish using veg I had in the fridge and freezer -(quite pleased)
Yesterday made biscuits - Mary berry's fork biscuits. Made 32 have to say some were eaten but managed to freeze most. Then I realised that if I froze the dough it occupies less space than cooked biscuits. So made a further 8 batches and froze them like sausages just ready to cut and bake when I need them. Ringed the changes by putting in cocoa powder for chocolate ones, also used mixed spice and then some with ginger. Not sure how those will taste.
Today I'm looking at a load of ham stock and a couple of bags of frozen peas, I'm pretty sure I've some ham lurking somewhere.
The difference this time over previous freezing episodes is that I'm labelling my efforts and I've dedicated part of one of the freezers with drawers to my effort. Hopefully over time all of this freezer will be full of ready meals.
Anything to stop me shopping I seriously think I have an addiction
Does anyone ever buy their vets wholesale - I'm going to see if I can to make all these meals as I've so much in the freezers and to buy veg from the supermarkets would cost a fortune.0 -

I'm going to have mine today so will report back. They only have one vegetarian one though unfortunately, so it's Butternut Squash and Mozzerella Risotto all the way for me! Well done on your freebie haul!Hi, my name's Katy and I'm a (former) spendaholic! :wave:NSD - November Challenge - 7/105/11/12 - 7 Weeks to Christmas Weight Loss Challenge! 2/140
