Becky 2 - stock up on the free Weightwatchers ready meals and that'll keep your spends down even more.
Today's stash is all bits and bobs and some freebies, though Sainsbury's are charging £3 for the WW meals which are suppose to be free with coupon (scans £2.99) - not fighting over a penny though. lol
WW ready meal @ £2.98
WW ready meal @ £2.99
2 x WW ready meals @ £3 = £6
WW Greek Yoghurts @ £1
4 x Heinz 5 Beans @ 85p = £3.40
2 x Heinz 5 Beans @ 84p = £1.68
2 x small bloomers @ 2 for £1 = £1
Pack 6 small orange juice = 90p
Carrots @ 39p
Parsnips @ 39p
Ginger nuts @ 29p
Digestives @ 30p
2 x tins Ambrosia custard @ 2 for £1 = £1
2 x Pizzas (reduced) @ £1.35 = £2.70
1 x iced fruit cake @ £1.39
Sub total = £26.41
Used 4 x £2.99 WW coupons (minus £11.96), 6 x Heinz 85p coupons (minus £5.10), 1 x 50p WW coupon (minus 50p) = £17.56
Days total so far £8.85
Also used a £1 Tesco Fairy Conditioner coupon in Morries - 1.4l for £1 (with coupon).
Forgot milk (doh), but a chance to grab more freebies later if I pop out, got enough to last until tomorrow though, so might just add up and call it a day.

Lynsey - I think I do alot of supermarket shopping but you seem to get around all the shops in one day! I am so jealous, are you close to all the big stores or are they a drive away for you? I only have Co-op in walking distance and we all know Co-op are ridiculous prices. The other supermarkets are a drive away for me.0

I've not bought any food except fruit, salad and veg for the pets and some juice so feeling quite good this week as I've used up plenty of stocks and the kitchen is emptier and tidier
Only got 1 quiche left which will be lunch tomorrow and using up half a jar of red pesto with finely sliced allotment veg the next few nights for dinners. Finished off a cake today finally, has taken me a week to eat it as it was so big so I thought it might go mouldy before I finished it as it was very moist! I need a sweet treat every day so will have to make something tomorrow, I'm thinking condensed milk, chocolate and nut biscuits - but will have to eat them by mid week as they aren't vegan.. I have a list of vegan desserts ready to make though
The last of the cheese had gone mouldy so I cut the outside off and used the rest as extra cheese on my lunchtime quiche today - was very cheesy then  but just had salad with it to offset that.
In prep for the possible vegan month I had Taifun organic tofu with almonds the last 3 nights, chopped and stir fried with veg and it was really nice to my surprise! But I got it from Ocado so not sure I can find that on the high street so easily. Am actually feeling better after eating vegan meals than veggie meals so I may eat more of them in future anyway even after my experimental month.0 -
LadyCoupon - yes, I'm very lucky to have several of the BIG 4 within 5 miles and also quite a few cheaper shops like B&M, Aldi, Lidl and Home Bargains etc and a few Coop's (got pizzas there today while looking for WW meals). We miss a decent big Waitrose, though a small one is available in the centre of Newcastle (10 miles away). M&S is another option.
Makes life easier and we often plan a route and hit several supermarkets in a day and very quickly. I've done more little shops this year with the budget, looking for bargains and wouldn't normally shop as much. The glut of coupons of late (great ones) has increased shopping trips also.
Maybe I'll not shop as much next year, who knows?? Depends on the coupons really.
Kirri, good luck again with your vegan month, it can't be easy.
The WeighWatcher Butternut Squash and Mozzarella Risotto looks like a decent freebie for you (not vegan of course).
I never went back out, so weeks spends ended up at £26.67, probably about the same next week as a few things needed. Then £60 for the 4 weeks after that, probably the only way I'll clear some space!! I'll bake bread during those 4 weeks to clear some Wright's stuff and save pennies.
I am thinking of switching on another small freezer (in friends garage at the minute) and fill with WeightWatchers meals for next year.
I'll probably spend less next year than this year!!
Cooking a lamb casserole for tomorrow and hubby has Quorn curry to finish.

Well done all!
Kirri- good your feeling better for vegan diet, not sure I would manage it though, just out of interest what is making you want to go for a vegan diet?
Lynsey - how much time a week do you think you spend in supermarkets? I really am in awe of your bargain hunting but also try and limit the number of days I go shopping!
Doing ok and can see the back of our freezer! :rotfl: got an online delivery tomorrow and hope to eek out the meat and meals in it to just about do us till christmas! we have loads of pasta/rice/noodles etc.. so if all else fails can have some cheap student-type meals before the celebrations begin!
Tomorrow we are out for lunch then leftover wraps/sandwiches for dinner, then its some "eating out of the freezer"/ batch cooking for the week ahead!
Got enough cereals and breakfast stuff and teabags to last I think so will mainly be lunches/fruit/fresh stuff if we need anything (of course only about £15 left so will need to be creative!)0 -

Lol.
To much this year, but to be honest a lot of the time we are out anyway and will hit a few on the way home - saves on petrol.
When I win the Lottery (big one), I'll open my own supermarket and reduce the stuff myself - bargains all the time.
Early night, take care all.

Freebie? Sounds interesting! Is that on the coupon thread? I've never even looked at the WW meals - I've noticed the desserts contain a lot of additives so guess the meals might be the same but will have a noseyDeleted_User wrote: »Well done all!

It is a big and difficult change.. Ethical reasons really, the animals in milk, egg production etc are mostly treated quite badly and so many are killed ie because they are male chicks or calves etc so I feel a bit uncomfortable with eating the foods and don't feel they should suffer for me. Not sure if I'll continue strictly after the month's trial but it is more beneficial health wise as well so will probably try and eat more like that at least. There will be a lot of foods I will miss though!!0 -
Morning all.
Kirri - there's a coupon to try the WW meals (select ones) for free - save the coupon before it gets pulled COUPON
Just toast with butter and coffee for breakfast. Lamb casserole later.
Out today, but will only do Sainsbury's later for milk and see what's reduced.

Thanks Lynsey, that's saved
it's a bloody good freebie even if I don't normally eat them!
Just finished the last hm quiche with salad and allotment sweetcorn.
This evening I'm finishing last bit of Quorn bacon with pasta and pesto and last of the allotment runner beans (I think we might have had a frost this weekend).
Not made my biscuits yet so will have to do that shortly - had nothing in last night so had to have an apple when I wanted a snack and it wasn't the same!0
