Hubby sometimes shoots ducks, i decided once i'd just freeze the breasts and they were no where near as nice :( so ducks do tend up taking up alot of freezer space.

Took out some a packet of english muffins and a packet of reduced chicken breasts i got for 44p awhile ago, i'm thinking sweet and sour chicken with rice.

I have a good bit of room in my freezer still but i plan to do a big shop at the start of the month with my till split and will be freezeing alot of bread.

    Morning all.

NSD yesterday as got back late.
I did spend more on Tuesday night though:

    Freebies:
    4 x Heinz 5 Beanz

    Bought:
Smoked mackerel fillets (reduced) @ 69p
    2 x packs TTD gorgonzola (reduced) @ 49p = 98p
    Pack tea-cakes (reduced) @ 29p
    Total = £1.96
    Tuesday's total = £5.33

Had just toast and coffee for breakfast, having the ham and pease pudding sandwich for lunch and took out pork medallions to have tonight with veg and blue cheese sauce.

Printed off some more Special K coupons this morning and 8 now. These are £2.69 in Tesco and free so will help with my next Tesco "pillage". I'll use 4 today and get some Fairy Platinum (use [STRIKE]£1[/STRIKE] 50p coupons) and take the total to just over £20 and use another £2 off £20 coupon. I'll probably get my butter from Tesco (500g for £2) and that'll be free. :j
Hopefully the same next week with a similar "attack".

Hope all are well and all family members who have been suffering.

Off for another coffee and put my Tesco list together. ;)

EDIT: Fairy Platinum coupon is only 50p, so need to re-jig. lol

Morning all, today out the freezer came mince as we are having chilli con carne with rice. At the side in a bowl we'll have tortilla chips, salsa and cheese i now buy the lidl chilli con carne sauce and it's quite good as it's not to spicy and there's not to many kidney beans so the kids will eat it. Breakfast for 2 dd's is toast and jam and ds had wheat -a- bix. Lunch i think will be soup. Already sent my daughter down the road to the little shop to get the Daily Record for the £5.00 of a £35 spend as someone also said maybe some people could use it at Morrisons. Weather not bad may consider hanging out washing though only if it's going to dry.

The weather is not to bad here now, just damp. Good luck with the washing.

Sorted, got my Tesco coupons together and hope all goes well.
Just found 2 Nouvelle £1 coupons (Brother printed), so that will help as it'll get another £3 towards the £20 minimum.

Thank you Lynsey, sometimes it seems they can change 2/3 times a day then it has to be washed !!, though i quite often fold it and then put the stuff back in their wardrobes. Right i am about to have a cup of tea then see about hanging this washing out and getting more in the machine i'd better do something today. Not long now until the kids are back to school though, the weather hasn't been good for them.

ooh one more day then it is half term. can't wait. planning a lie-in on saturday morning and then off away for a few dyas on sunday. very tired! very stressed and too much to do!

got DS1's birthday the week after half term and the party planning has gone wrong so now had to change and make alternative plans. still now we might use some freezer items up with catering for him and his mates at home! need to start making space for Christmas.

on the look out for good deal on pork joint with crackling for Christmas Eve and king prawns for Christmas Day. any spots welcome. Not sure I will get to Morries before the £2 kg pork offer ends.

haven't thought about dinner tonight till just and not sure what to do as out at clubs with kids tonight. might raid hm ready meal drawer. plus use up stuff from fridge. should be able to cobble something decent together.

more selling this afternoon with any luck (selling baby items through FB and it is going well so far).
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • Afternoon all.

    Been out shopping, good day.

Waitrose, brocolli, sweetcorn, x2 packs of mange tout and 4 baking potatoes. £3.11

    sainsburys 2 5 beans free.

tesco x 3 tins of baby carrots x 3 packs of sage and onion stuffing x 1 orange juice, x 2 special k biscuits, x 1 tin of value peaches and x 4 grapefruits loose. £2.33 to pay.

The stuffing and carrots are for the boxes, at that price i will get more, also split a pack of the biscuits for the boxes, going to skip shopping for boxes etc next week, as i got enough this week, giving a box next week also.

Had cheerios for breakfast, havent had lunch, going to zumba in an hour, i know its bad but wll have to do it without lunch.

£5.44 spent today, i'm literally giving myself £5 for fruit next week, no more. 44p over my £20 budget, but included christmas food and boxes food so happy with that, but now i really do want to reduce spends.

My Tesco plan nearly went perfectly, but they didn't have the 500g of Anchor butter for £2, so still butterless!!

    Bought:
    2 x Special K Berries @ £2.69 = £5.38 (free)
    2 x Special K Honey Crunch @ £2.69 = £5.38 (free)
    2 x Lenor (small 1/2 litre) @ £1 = £2 (free)
    2 x Nouvelle (4 packs) @ £1.50 = £3 (50p per pack)
    2 x Fairy Platinum @ £1 = £2 (50p per bottle)
    4 x Tesco mini burgers (reduced) @ 62p = £2.48
    1 x Pack of Stottie cakes @ 55p
    1 x Dishes brushes pack (reduced - no packaging) @ 48p
    Sub total = £21.27
    Used 4 x free Special K coupons (minus £10.76), 2 x Lenor £1 coupons (minus £2), 2 x Nouvelle £1 coupons (minus £2), 2 x Fairy Platinum 50p coupons (minus £1), £2 off £20 coupon - minus total = £17.76
    Total = £3.51 :money:

    Food shopping = £3.03 (minus £2 off £20) = £1.03

Well pleased with that and a similar shop next week with another 4 Special K freebies - more than half of the £20 needed to use another £2 off £20.
L'oreal coupons should be updated by next week, so that will help also.

Made some meatball pasta with some of the mini meatballs for tomorrow's main meal. Took some sausages out for tomorrow's breakfast.
I would have bought more of the mini meatballs, but no space. Sweetcorn will have to wait until a space is created. I will get the butter and sugar before the weekend though.

Think I'll make some carrot and coriander soup tomorrow to finish off the carrots and I'll get some fresh carrots on Saturday.

    No more shopping tonight.

Morning All, Well never got the washing hung out yesterday as it was to cold and wet so used the tumble dryer again. We've had snow and sleet here this morning but nothing really lieing. It was baltic/cold last night sky looks okay just now so we will wait and see if there's anymore of the white stuff. Well to tell you the truth i've not decided what i am having tonight it will either be pork steaks or sausages with mash veg and gravy. Going food shopping tomorrow, though oh would say what for as there's tons in the freezer but i do need some stuff i've not been in 2 weeks and last time i went spent only about £45, never made it to Lidl last week with being away rather annoying. Hope your all well.

Morning all, a pretty horrible day here.

Had a double egg sandwich and hubby had sausage and egg sandwich, so breakfasts done. I didn't fancy sausage this morning, so the 2 extra cooked ones will go in past bake tonight. We didn't eat the garlic bread either last night, so that's for later also.

I need to go out at lunch time and may pop into Asda for some butter and get a couple of tins of 5 Beanz, no further shopping hopefully. This could be a cheapish week, if tomorrow doesn't spoil it.

I've been thinking long and hard about foodbanks (preying on my mind) and I'll do a charity drop next week somewhere. I/we have decided to give quite a bit of stuff to 2 known families (1 friend and 1 relative) who are struggling at the moment and that's basically because we didn't like the other centre asking for donations for food taken.
So, I'm going to change my sig to Grocery Donation, rather than Charity Grocery Donation, but will still honour the £100 which will be split 3 ways now - 50% approx to a family with 2 small children. A charity will still get loads of the freebies and basics and quite a bit of stuff we already have.
Some of the laundry stuff and shampoos etc will go to the family with children.
