Morning all, horrible day here and I've got to go out!!

Just had a coffee and skipping breakfast and have elevenses instead.

quintwins - which area do you live?? Great to have the choice of using coupons anywhere.
Good luck with the beans, still 4-5 weeks to get a stash.
Morries have £15 litres of spirits, so you could use that £5 off £40 one there, though someone said Aldi are doing the £5 voucher in this Thursday's Mirror, so perhaps a better offer.

We don't have a morrisions :( i might just use it for some normal food and send some to my mums house to help her out. i'll see i'm very busy this week with appointments so i might not even bother to use it.

quintwins - N.I.? I thought West Country for some reason. Shame about Morries, but lucky you have the choice with coupons - hope it happens over here and might now Morries has "upset the applecart".

    Freebies:
    6 x Heinz 5 Beanz.

    Bought:
    Lemon juice 30p
    2 x Red Sky crisps (150g) @ 59p = £1.18
    Big D dry roasted peanuts @ 99p
    Wilshire ham @ £1.15
    Pease pudding @ 15p
    Total = £3.47

Bought the ham in case we get back late tomorrow and at least we can have a quick sandwich.

Butter, sweetcorn and sugar (keep forgetting) will wait until Thursday now. I'll visit Aldi on Saturday for veg before the Super 6 offers end.

Probably no more shopping today and I'll catch up Wednesday night or Thursday.

    Hi everyone!

Feeling better now although not tried running again yet... maybe thursday for that.

Got loads reduced from Mr T last night including 5 huge packs of ham for 70p each instead of £3.50 so that sorts the sarnies for a bit :).

Went into freezer for salmon earlier but couldn't find it without mesing up the jigsaw so instead have dug out 3 large cod fishcakes for the kids and two fish pies for us (one ys and one hm). Also dug out a couple of pieces of roe for my lunch, cooking it now to have on a multigrain roll. nom.

nsd today but planning a trip to sainsbobs this week to get wine while the 25% offer is on.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • Evening all.

Went to Mr w today, spent £8.35 but this did include a bogof for Christmas of 2 bottles of bottle green, will wait for a different bogof to get some more bottles, .also got my weekly bag of onion rings, a pint of milk, I'm trying to use up the free box of chocolate cheerios and a multi buy of pork shoulder steaks,.ecaudaurian prawns and chicken breast fillets, think I did good for the money, also went to Mr s and got 2 beans and the half price copella, may pop back later, as they had quite a bit of fruit and veg to be reduced, we shall see.

Not done too badly, have used up some milk and cheerios, had the onion rings instead of lunch, have put the rack of ribs in seasoned with honey, paprika, garlic powder and chilli powder, will have it with rice, as I can't think what to have with it.

  • hi all,
    quick update on supplies :)

freezer 1 (outside) now contains 2 small bags of fresh peas from our old allotment, some (4?) minted lamb steaks, 2 packs of casserole steaks, 1 whole duck, 1 whole joint, pack of calzone, pack of breaded chicken goujons, pack of mince, large bag of stirfry veg, pack of cooking margarine and a pack of filo pastry.
freezer 2 (inside) contains three small bags of wedges, 3 small bags of garlic bread (these two are for my remaining dinners this week after work), 2 packs of haddock fillets, 1 piece of kidney, 1 pack mince, 4 chicken breasts, 4 pork chops, bag of peas, 6 soft rolls, pack of butter, and a few varying ice creams :)

cupboard 1 (kitchen) is down to 8 tins, spray/cooking fats, jar of coffee, jar of ovalatine, bottle of lemon juice (for pancakes and cooking stirfry). also have 6 varying bottles of juice/fizzy stuff (pepsi, tango, water, etc)

cupboard 2 (kitchen) - full pack pasta, full pack uncle bens microwave rice, small brown loaf, 4 sachets options hot chocolate powder, greens jel mix, cereal, varying chocolate bars/crisps :)

Also have all our baking type stuff still lol - managed to get it all over on two shelves of a small wall cupboard so its all neat and tidy.

Cupboard 3 (conservatory) has all manner of stuff in there, mostly tinned stuff, things like pickled onions, brown sauce, coffee, sweetener, biscuits, crackers, salt, etc.

still quite a lot to get through but hopefully should be able to run it right down in the next month and a half :)

Morning all, cold and frosty here again, just don't seem to beable to get the washing hung outside for what seems like weeks. Well yesterday turkey steaks(lidl offer) came out and they all had that in sweet and sour sauce, i had macaroni cheese also took out a loaf of bread and some rolls. Today so far i have taken out 2 pork chops though have to think about what the kids will have maybe fish pie i think as it cooks from frozen.
