    ^ Bargain carpet!

Had a trip to M&S today for some healthy vegan bits, had lunch at least today then :D

Welcome Donna :) Maybe start by working out a list of meals you could make from everything in stock, without having to buy in more. If you read this whole thread you will probably end up buying more than you have already :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, a little frosty here today!!

Toasted tea-cake for myself and hubby had Special K Honey Clusters for breakfast. He said the clusters were like broken up cereal bars, but a bit harder.
Belly pork to finish off and snacking the rest.
Hoping not to shop today and will only do Sainsbury's late on if passing and will only buy vastly reduced stuff - hopefully veg.
I need to go shopping for Brother tomorrow, so might wait until then.

Out most of day, catch up tonight.

    Stay warm.

donnajt - welcome to the thread and hope you post regularly. Some like to list everything and meal plan, I just work around a budget and haven't a clue what I have - got loads though. lol
Good luck and hope you save lots of pennies. Do you buy reduced stuff to fill your freezers/cupboards??

Hy lynsey thank u for such warm welcome, I used to be very organised and would have a meal plan written on my fridge each week but it stopped

I must admit i try and buy reduced items but our tesco only really reduces stuff by pennies - although i did manage to get 3 packs of lean mince lamb for 63p each in the week and this will make 3 lots of lamachuns one of the families fav meals

As the weather is hideous I intend to sort kitchen out today including making a stock list and then meal planning

just from top of my head I have prepared this list from stuff i already have:

    Lunch:
slow cooked pulled pork / hm pasties / hm soup

    Dinners:
Mon: pulled pork and roasties, broccoli, cauli
    Tue: Lamb stew and dumplings
    Wed: Chilli pasta bake
    Thu: Ham, egg and chips
    Fri: pizza
    Sat: chicken and bacon pasta
    Sun: lamb breast and roast

and here is my shopping list:

    2 x Capri sun 10pack = 2 for £4
4 x Tesco No Added Sugar Smooth Cream Soda 2 Litre
3 x Wrights Parmesan And Sun Dried Tomato Bread Mix 500G
    4 x value sparkling water
    1 x Ranch Dressing
    1x value mush
    1x value sponges
    = £16.44
    3x value sponge mix = 22p / 3for2 = 44p
    = £12.88

my normal sunday spend is £60+!!!

Hi Kirri - tell me about it - I keep finding recipes and tips and thinking oh add that to list, oh must have that, wow never even thought of that as furiously scribbling another shopping list :rotfl:

However, i have been copying and pasting and will just add these items when budget allows or meals call for them

Does anyone make laundry gloop? i am running low on washing powder and am tempted to make it but worried i am just going to be pouring money down the drain

That's what I do now, I have a list of things I want to buy and then get 1 or 2 things off it when I am really bored with what I have left in stock to make a specific recipe. Before I used to buy things I wanted to use at some point in the future and that's when I spent a lot more and things sat around longer..

Can't help on that, not knowing what it is?? I only buy Ecover which works out cheap enough as I get 50 ish washes from 1.5 litres.

There is a good recipee somewhere on the old style board-i make the powder when i run out of glithy/moc washing liquid lol

I don't think the ingredients need to be specific but i used to mix borax, a grated bar of soap and soda crytals i think. Although i have a ton of freebie washing liquid so haven't used in in a while. Soap nuts are worth looking at too. :)
