Ah right thank you for the link though that site makes organic food look cheap!!

Typical the Stonegate eggs are now out of stock on Ocado, on a last ditch attempt to get a free delivery slot but will have to order soon as running out of things and to use up the rest of my stash I need things to go with it..

I've had some strange and not very satisfying meals the last few days :( my fridge currently is lovely, tidy and bare though and my cupboard has a few spaces :D Need to go and get some veg from the allotment at the weekend, hoping the sweetcorn will finally be ready and should be some mange tout and beans.
  • Thanks Lynsey, I thought it was the tins, would have donated as I don't eat It.

Going to Mr.t over the weekend, not sure which day, will use a Quaker coupon, check for nutrigrain, hopefully get some lenor for my grandma and beans, hopefully some Ye fruit, I do need to go to the.t express for more tinned pears as they are brilliant for adding to a smoothie when i don't have a great deal of fruit, so I am aiming for about 20 more tins, some will go in charity box.

BTW, Iceland have the Quaker Oats so Simple for £1 per box.

It's amazing Tesco Express keep stocking up the shelves with the 15p pears, they're still 61p in the big Tesco's.
I've bought about 70 tins (some already donated) and have to resist not buying more - crazy price.

    Morning all.

Just had toast with cheese spread again for breakfast.
My meal will be finishing off beef casserole, hubby will finish off the prawn curry.
    No Lidl today - that's 2 weekends in a row I've missed.
Today I only need veg, eggs and milk. I could get away with just the milk until Monday.
I wanted to go to Tesco to use some cleaning stuff coupons, but will probably wait.
I'll have to try and reduce couponing for a few weeks and get back to be frugal, I've slipped a bit of late since not having a weekly budget, but had some great deals and well stocked.
This set of 6 weeks spends will be high, but still well in budget.
Hope this weeks spends are under £40!!

BTW, Groupon £5's are out again, check your emails. Nothing worth spending on for myself, but got 2 days to use the £5.

I might be popping down to London next week. Just waiting for for a funeral date and we might stop over (1 night) to spend some time with my Son. Need a cheap hotel room though!!

    chicken fajitas (fridge/cupboards)
quorn chilli/sheperds pie (freezer/cupboards - need potato for sheperds pie!)

Had a good day's pickings from the allotment - turnips, carrots, beetroot, mange tout, runner beans, spring onions, shallots, sweetcorn, cucumbers, raspberries, chard, rosemary, sage and tarragon.

Could have picked more but started raining. Still got loads of potatoes to dig up, the last of the borlotti to pick plus a few salad crops still growing so plenty of variety to stop me buying any yet!

Splashed out on some Kentish cobnuts - going to put some in biscuits, stay a lot fresher being in shells so less wastage and nice to buy British and relatively local.

Got Ocado order arriving tonight finally with mainly just basic food items/wholefoods etc and quite a few offers, well mostly offers really! Should be able to use up more things from stock now - have a list of recipes to use up what I've had hanging around but just needed a few extra ingredients to make them. After scrimping and not buying much for months on end it will seem a treat to have this delivery!

My weight has gone down half a stone since this time last year so obviously the lesser amount of food I've bought has had an advantage :D

    Evening.

Kirri - I could do with some of that veg.

Popped out to sort some business bits and we were going to go to the veg outlet, but the slip-road was closed off!! I'm not meant to get there this week. Stopped me shopping anyway, but stuff I need.

NSD so far and I am a wee bit terrified to spent today and a couple of heavier days, but will pop to Sainsbury's later to put lottery on and buy a couple of bags of milk. Hoping for some cheap veg, especially potaoes and carrots, but won't be buying at Sainsbury's full prices. If I only buy the milk, I'll slip through some more free 5 beanz.

Need to tot up spends later ..................... nervously.

Lynsey, what is the 'veg outlet' is it a large greengrocers or something?? You're not having much luck getting there!

Just had a look in the freezer - using the last hm veg burgers and hm onion bhajis for dinner tonight just to 'tidy things up'. Am wondering if I could bear to eat hm soup every lunchtime this coming week just to use it up out of the freezer... hmm.

It's a wholesale fruit and veg merchant which has a shop open to the public. Not everything is cheap, but regular weekly offers and always cheaper eggs (large fr for £1.70 per dozen).

Not as cheap as Sainsbury's "whoopsies" though. lol
