katskorner you don't sound too good, I think it's the first winter bugs appearing.
Kirri - I was a veggie for 11 yrs then met OH and he lured me with locally made sausages and local mushrooms. I have a list of websites. I've tried French Click, and I'm going to try Planet Organic and Goodness Direct as well as Amazon - they have some USDA certified stuff. Depends on the price.
zafiro1984 - OH and I argue about cold. Having lived in Canada, I don't have central heating on yet and he's mutinyingHeating is going on and off like a yoyo.

^ He must have been worth it lol, could never imagine anyone ever tempting me with a meat sausage! I'm more thinking about going vegan than ever eating meat again, though veganism would be a huge change even from what I eat now. Not heard of French Click? Have got a few things in my Amazon basket that seem ok prices, an organic vegan pesto and cola that I can't get unless I go on the train, so cheaper to get from Amazon.
Katscorner - Hadn't thought about the bacteria, more that I've had mould on a yoghurt and wouldn't fancy eating that! It was organic though, not sure if a conventional yoghurt lasts longer?
Just made Mary Berry's Bishops Fingers recipe, waiting for it to cool... I love it when I can make a recipe purely from what I have sat in the cupboard0 -
Pulled fresh rolls I bought on Tuesday from the freezer this evening - will have those Friday with the two remaining Bird$eye burgers, also in freezer. Have salad (particularly cucumber) that badly needs using, so will probably make a big salad to use over the weekend.
Will have some bacon tomorrow night that I pulled out of the freezer earlier in the week, DM will cook hm chips with that and an egg. She'll have the leftover Spam in the fridge instead of bacon tho.
Off out to Mr A's tomorrow, have to get butter, eggs, bread and a few other staples plus cleaning stuffs for the kitchen that we've run out of (nearly). Also have to pick up some ready meals as I have four late night finishes next week
Planning on using a Flora Proactive coupon I bought plus the Price Guarantee vouchers I got on Tuesday evening. Might try my luck with the Kitkat vouchers although they didnt print so well, but we'll see.
Will have Burger King for lunch after our shop; also have BK coupons I printed courtesy of the main MSE website0 -
Morning all.
No further shopping yesterday, but will need to get stuff today.
I'll either have to bake or buy bread. I don't mind paying £1 for 2 small bloomers in Asda, so that may be an option. I've been doing far less "whoopsy" shopping of late, but maybe we should all be stocking up if all the future increases on the news (poor harvest etc.) materialise!!
Lamb prices expect to rocket?? We'll be "posh" with our Xmas leg of lamb. lol
Great that some of you got the Kit Kat coupons, but we need to find an offer. I'll only be using mine if I can find 8 packs for around £1 before coupon.
Kirri - good luck if you go vegan. I think it's a big commitment and hard work (would be for myself)). Your choices would be even limited further obviously, though lots you could do with fresh fruit and veg, nuts, pulses etc. A totally different way of life, but do-able.
katskorner - hoping you feel much better today.
Porridge for breakfast and Italian Groupon meal later.

According to mysupermarket most 8 pack 2 finger Kitkats are £1.59, so with coupon £1.09. (6.5p per finger)
Bit pricey for someone like you Lynseybut in case anyone else wants that info.
Lets not forget theres three offers on that coupon of course....something for everyone....
Nestle pure life spring water is 65p for a 2l bottle, so 15p after coupon :T
The grab2go is a interesting one....if you can combine it with the curiously cinnamon/strawberry voucher HERE you can get £1 off a box so they will only be 99p.0 -
Morning all
Yesterday had a Caribbean takeaway and the salmon parcel from freezer, was supposed to cook the pork mince I took out, but it a whoopsie, don't know if it will be o.k. t
Also had to throw out, half bags of flour, rice, Wrights bread, one full pack had burst at the bottom and found weevils or whatever they are called. So had a massive clear out, not much left, 10 cans of beans, 3 cans of toms, 2 full packs of ww pasta, a can of Campbell's chicken soup, a fully pack of lasagne sheets, half a pack of easy cook rice, 4 cuppa soups, nesquick, 2 packs of Cupcakes to be made with god daughter, olive oil, veg oil and a small amount of basmati, I can survive for a while on that, will definitely be taking advantage of an online shop before the end of the year, oh yes i have also got loads of 5 beans.
Lynsey, I think nutrigrain glitch has finished, both of my stores have it temp out of stock, machines have stopped doing the coupons, I still have 6 left, will keep as they are valid until 21/11 so a few weeks yet, for them to restock.
Not sure what I am eating today, have to wait in for a delivery, so will be from cupboard and freezers.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Yep, I want to morally but I do so love cheese... and butter... at the mo just experimenting with recipes and alternatives, some of which I use already ie soya milk, I may incorporate more vegan meals but to make the jump full time is something to think about a bit longer.. plus it would make it impossible to eat out and I've just won a comp for a meal out!
MNR - weevils sound a bit grim! I found something dead in my dried beans the other day
Struggling to work out what to eat for lunch, I have main meal food and free breakfasts (thanks to a certain cereal manufacturer being very generous on the comps/freebies!) but no lunch type meals unless I make some more hm crackers.0 -
Change of plans, had Nandos for lunch today instead of BK, so will have the burgers with defrosted soft rolls for dinner instead. Will use up some of the salad to go with it as we have tons!
Had a nice shop or two today over Mr A and Mr I, bought the staples we needed plus some whoopsied meat and vegetables. Used a flora coupon for 50p and my two Mr A's price coupons, got a £33 spend down to £29.25.
Got some absolutely lovely pork chops (pack of 6) whoopsied for £3! Hardly any fat on them and DM couldnt wait to get them in the trolley!!! :rotfl:
They have gone into freezer for now, along with a small pack of mince, 8 soft rolls, 3 ww meals, plus a large microwaveable meat pasta bake I also got whoopsied - divided it into four portions and have frozen those too. That's my late night food after work sorted for 2 weeks +0 -
Dug out a pack of value salmon I had reduced to 72p from Mr T a while ago for tea. There are loads of pieces in there. Kids are having pasta with theirs. Not sure what we will have yet. Will see later but currenty fancying baking baguettes, adding salad and making a hot salmon sandwich.....
Still feeling ropey - might force me back to docs again! boo.
p.s grrrrr just got outbid on ebay at the last second and lost by 20p - hate it when that happens but love it the other way round!!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
