Hoping for another £25'ish week.
Got quite a stash or washing liquid now (bought Surf the other week) - well over 1 years supply, though my Son will probably get some if he comes home in September.
He finishes work on the film he's been working on soon and he's hoping for a week or so off - he says he wrecked after working 10 heavy weeks (bless him).
He reckons the film (Cuban Fury) is quite a funny comedy.
Just snacking today, had lattice with whipped cream and will have strawberries with cream later.
Weather changed back to rain - so time to catch up on the ironing!!!!!!!!!

Lynsey - is the Persil the liquid? Do you know when the offer is on until? I don't get paid until Friday so won't be able to go to Asda until then.
I did sausage barm cakes for lunch/brunch and will do the steak that I got out of the freezer in a couple of hours for dinner. I got milk when I was out this morning and also picked up a bag of Doritos as I want to make some guacamole with 2 ys avocados that I have in the fridge to use up.
My best friend is driving me nuts ATM - she has become an obsessed bargain hunter and goes out to all the supermarkets at mad hours to buy reduced stuff (I know glass houses and all that....) Trouble is a) she is on a tight budget as her OH has recently had to change jobs and b) she buys loads of other stuff as well as the bargains!!! She is spending about £250 + a week on food and her cupboards and freezers are bulging - She can't get the hang of meal planning either!! I have tried to tell her to look on here but she isn't very internet savvy so she just rings me up all the time to ask me to look up offers for her!!!
Well - off to make the guacamole - didn't make the cheddar and carrot soup, but will deffo do it tomorrow.
Hope you are all having a good Sunday - it is too weird here - sunny, hot AND pouring down with rain!Jane

Jane - yes, I bought the liquid "Small and Mighty".
No date on how long the offer is on for.

Winter is hellish up here you're right. I daren't leave the house most days for fear of breaking my neck and our heating bill goes through the roof  I put curtains over the doors along with draught excluders and the like last year and it helped keep us warmer and bring the bill down a bit so going to improve on that this year (foiled covered cardboard down the backs of radiators etc). My bathroom is the worst. It's always so cold in there no matter what I do.
I rely on Internet shopping for a lot but I do love browsing instore myself
Ok cocktail sausages and sausage rolls out today along with chicken breasts for chilli chicken tonight.
Had to rush my cat to the emergency vet this morning. She's got a tiny puncture wound (how I've no idea) but it was leaking a brown liquid that smelled like faeces. She has antibiotics and ointment and the buster collar has been dig out of the cupboard so she can't lick herself. Thank god for insurance though I had to fork out £100 upfront. It's not been a good year for our catswe had 3 that I raised from birth and one of them passed away last year from an extreme uti that no-one noticed until it was too late. Even our vet was shocked. He was 2 days away from his first birthday bless him.

Humid here
I hate the soggy in a greenhouse feeling
Yes Lynsey bigger than average squares
Last night OH got a disposable BBQ in ASDA for 1.50 so we barbied some YS Duchy Originals lamb leg steaks cubed with chunks of Waitrose offer org mixed peppers, ASDA org mushrooms and Duchy Originals sirloin. We had one of those huge gas BBQs bought by parents but it took up too much room in the garden !
Anyone else been barbieing ?:cool:0 -
I don't think a barbeque would stay alight in this torrential rain Edwardia. :rotfl:
I have come back from my families craving some hot food rather than buffet.
Sausages on the grill now to serve with sauce, pitta and onions.
The only shopping was one bottle of wine to take with me. I couldn't have any though as I was driving.£36/£240

Driving??
In this weather??
Do you have an amphibious vehicle??
Took out some tea-cakes for tomorrow's breakfast and 2 ready meals to get rid of and clear some freezer space (1 chicken chow mein for hubby and a spaghetti meatball meal for myself).
Need to clear space for sweetcorn and Mackay's ice cream.
I really need to get over my weakness of meal planning this week!!
I have a piece of brisket I would like rid of and still top-heavy on pork.
I need to clear some fish stuff also.

hey guys
Popped out and spent £16 not very happy as it seems everytime i step out i manage to spend 20 quid on nothing, ive just thrown away food i have not managed to eat, including a racdck of ribs, the thing is i went to mr sw and bought 2 pies reduced to 29p knowing there was not loeads of space in the freezer, i have resorted to putting the chilli in food baghs and freezing in the tight spots in the freezer, i dont fancy chilli in this weather, i have taken out a pork chop see what can be done with that tomorrow, also squeezed in 2 magnums, freezers still full.
i think im joining the weekly spend thread tomorrow, although i can affor to have these splurges, if i carry on like this my money won't last long, so i need to try and reign it in before then, gonna set up a budget i will stick to, my grocery budget will start 1sty september, because i don't need anything lol like i keep saying!Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Had a good day as planned today, we used up some of ALDI pasta with passata left from HM pizza last night and then lots of bits popped in from the fridge like leftover sweetcorn and grated cheese.
I am going to make OH a packed lunch for work tomorrow using up some turkey & salad drawer items ... he doesn't know this motive behind me kindly making a lot of his meals ... hehe0
