Cullercoats is beautiful, your right that it is just the weather that makes it not be a top location.
I have not been to Tynemouth market for years, is the green market still in the church as well?

The Land of Green Ginger??
Yes, that's still there - nice cafe inside.
Total spends this week = £25.36 and I'm "over the moon" after Wednesday's spends. Telling myself off seems to work. lol
I'm doing 3 more frugal weeks instead of 2 and that's just to keep this set of 6 weeks spends down ................... then I'll get a few M&S cakes ................. I might pop into M&S in the week just to smell the cakes!!!
Opened the 1st of the 30 bars of chocolate today (sorry Edwardia) and blitzed 8 squares and sprinkled over the last of the Carte D'Or. I was hoping to save opening the chocolate until September ............... what a failure I am.
Stir fry later and took out some diced chicken breast for hubby to have with his stir fry (he's not having any of my jumbo prawn stash!!). He'll also make a chicken korma for tomorrow - I think I'll be out most of the day.

Yes, Land of green ginger. :j I'll have to give the cafe a try.
We like to go when it snows to sledge down the hills at the priory.
I've made lemon posset tonight with one pack of the lemon pie filling and using 1 tub of the anchor cream. I will grate a little dark chocolate on it before serving to make it look posh.£36/£240

Thank you everyone ((((hugs)))) my son is definitely helping me through it by keeping me busy. Today he tried to scale the clothes airer and only succeeded in pulling it on top of himself. He now has a lovely mark next to his eye and what looks like a small lump. Almost had a heart attack :rotfl:
Lynsey I'm surprised you resisted the chocolate for so long. I'd be halfway through them by now!
OH brought home 6 sticky ginger buns from work reduced to 29p. I shared one with T, very yummy! He decided not to eat his bit and chucked it on the floor then sat in it
Fish cakes out, bread demolished, rest of french stick eaten along with half my body weight in chocolateand 1/4 bag of pistachios. And a lot of coffee.
Tomorrow my OH is working until 9pm so he won't be able to pick anything fresh up and I intend to go nowhere (perhaps the park if it's sunny). I'd like to visit family but living on the mountain and having no car makes it difficult.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

it is sooooo humid here tonight - tomorrow it is meant to be hot and rainy.
NSd today :j
I am meeting a friend in the morning for a coffee so will probably get some milk while I am out. Have just got some sirloin steak, which I got half price in Tescos a couple of weeks ago, out of the freezer for the meal tomorrow - will probably have it with onions and mushrooms and maybe jacket potato or chips. I am going to make the carrot and cheddar soup tomorrow too - thanks ammonite and soworried!!
Just having a cup of tea and trying to resist the lure of a slice of toast with Clover on!! I bought the Tesco everyday value tea bags for 27p last week and they aren't bad. I have to say that they aren't as nice as the Twinings everyday but for that price I can't grumble.
Lynsey - you have certainly got better self control than me with that chocolate. I can't rest when I have stuff like that in the house - I start making brownies and cupcakes and eating it all the time dipped in cups of tea....:o:oJane

Morning
Nothing is coming out of the freezer today and no shopping will be done either.
I am out with family for the day and I baked all afternoon yesterday to take stuff with me.
Sequeena, kids are really messy at that age, I would like to tell you that they get better with age but mine are 15 and 13 and it just changes from food to underwear or socks.:rotfl:
I hope everyone has good day using things up.£36/£240

Morning all and looks like a nicer morning here.Lynsey I'm surprised you resisted the chocolate for so long. I'd be halfway through them by now!recovering_spendaholic wrote: »Lynsey - you have certainly got better self control than me with that chocolate.
Lol.
Self control??
I get "sweeties" off my Brother every week and no "self control" there - gone in hours!!
Probably the "guilt factor" - I try and make them last (bars of chocolate) more than 1 month (when possible).
If I wasn't on a budget I would buy a full box every time the half-price offer is on ............... thank God for budgets. lol
Only toast planned today for breakfast and no planned meals for myself. Hubby has his chicken curry.
Going to try Sainsbury's late afternoon and may pop into Asda - they've supposed to have Plenty kitchen rolls on offer - pack of 8 for £2 and there is a 50p off coupon HERE.
Hope everyone gets decent weather today, I'm out most of the day, but would like to sit in the sun for a few hours later .................... I've been told it's nice.
Sit in the garden with a coffee and dip a strip of 4 squares of chocolate in ..................... bliss.

Looks like a nicer day here too, hoping we might get some sunshine!
Yesterday I used up another can of tuna (only one left now, hurrah!) with some white pasta. I will be glad when the pasta is gone as I much prefer wholewheat pasta but when I could only afford a cheap ALDI shop I just got white (why don't' they do any brown?!)
Today I am going to make OH's meals again as I am using up things he wouldn't reach for but doesn't mind iykwim - like value tomato soup when there is nicer mushroom soups. I know if I get these used up first he won't be complaining when there are the tomato ones left at the end and he wants to take mushroom to workAlso going to do him some breakfast and use up some cereal and yoghurt.
Hopefully another good day0 -
(((Sequeena))) I suggest Lindt grated over strawberries and cream XXX Living on a Welsh mountain sounds really romantic until I think about Winter ! When I was a kid my parents would often rent a cottage on a sheep farm nr Caernarvon and to get to it you had to drive up a track on this 1449 ft mountain called Cefn Du. View on a clear day was amazing, right across to Anglesey. How about doing an Internet shop ???
Lynsey, my chocolate stash nearly gone and then I'll be back to buying it full price at Sainsbosonly place that sells 90% cocoa chocolate here.Your will power is good ! OH keeps my stash on top shelf of larder and rations me to 2 squares at a time.:(
miss_emmajane I'm sending OH to work with tins of soup and fish tooGot him a Marks and Spencer coolbag in rucksack style BNWT from Oxfam for 4.99 as well and with a freezer block in he can take cheese and butter with him and it keeps cold even on the Tube. I'm buying up YS cheese and stashing it in the freezer for him.
