Got my Viking helmet on ready to "pillage" your bargains. lol

quintwins - top marks with those bargains - keep you going for a while for little spend.

Just had toast and coffee for breakfast and having bacon and eggs etc for late lunch and then out for evening meal.

Thinking of fish and chips tomorrow and possibly done in breadcrumbs.

My Lidl meat weekend offer is not wanted, so I'll avoid Lidl this week. The weeks spends may not be as bad as feared last night.

Checking Asda later for bargains and that'll probably be it.

Off to plant my plant bargains whilst the soil is wet ................. you never know when we'll get the next lot of rain. :rotfl:

I was going to Lidl to get UHT skimmed milk for the dawg but it's a weekend offer here, so NSD for me.

OH had wisdom tooth out yesterday so he has sore mouth and he'll be having soup for dinner tonight. :(

He gave me the £35 my mother gave him for his birthday so I bought him 5 pairs of black cotton slips in Marks and Spencer on Tuesday - £17 ! Used the rest of it to buy him food for his stash eg biltong, beef and ale soup, three bean chilli.. have set a budget of £10 pw to top him up ie £2 per meal.. does that seem enough ?

    Quintwins - great bargains :T
  • Hello guys, its been awhile since i came on the boards but decided I must get back on it and eat out of my freezer/cupboards rather than another trip to the shops. Iv made a list of everything in my freezer and can't believe how much food I have and how long its probably been in there!lol

So, this morning iv had a hot cross bun (from a pack of 4 reduced to 80p)

    Lunch is sandwich and crisps

Dinner, sausages, cauli cheese, carrots, peas and new potatos (end of bag - need using up, everything else out of the freezer):)

  • Hi all
yeah i did it second NSD in a row, Lynsey think you need to share the frugal pills.

Everyone sounds like they are doing great. its such an inspiration

son is decreasing the lolly stack says he is being helpful!!! i guess he is, and given that he has had 5 new teeth come through altogether and lost one of his front teeth as well as being diagnosed as having geographic tongue i guess having a sore mouth and being helpful by eating lollies is allowed.
so what to have for tea this evening, sttir fry i think to help decrease the mountain of veg
    have a lovely day everyone

Well done summersun! :) Love your "helpful" son :D

I got rid of 2 portions of beef in gravy (frozen), one jacket potato and a tin of new potatoes out of the cupboard.

Onwards and downwards for the freezer and cupboards! Got to do something with cottage cheese tomorrow as I have a whole tub that needs to be eaten :/
