  • Hey guys

I had 3 chocolate biscuits for breakfast, the leftover mackrel filo, with a beet, green beans and creme fraiche, going to make the beef kebabs in a minute.

Im going to take the last pack of pancakes out in a bit, dessert will be warm Apple and strawberry pancakes, nothing coming out for tomorrow, I have chicken left and will have left over kebabs, may put a few cooked chunks of beef in the freezer, for a jambalya I'm hoping to make soon.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Beef Stew OUT and Honey & Mustard Chicken OUT. The latter will be had with jacket potato which needs to be eaten. I might have a spud for lunch tomorrow too.

All croissants eaten :D and DH is making a start on the sausage rolls. Got garlic bread & donuts coming out of my ears and the "real" food is dwindling nicely in time for October/November when I'll have a huge buy of meat and lots of batch cooking ready for putting in the freezer for when baby ammonite arrives. Then I'll know all the stuff is "fresh" rather than some of it that lurks for 2 years (like the pastry! and the leftover christmas veg :o (8 months!)).

Feeling like it is very do-able. As much as lately I've said my freezer is "full" again after a whoopsie trip - most of it has been with stuff we eat regularly like bread, crumpets etc. With the exception of donuts and garlic bread nothing else is clogging up the freezer, not even meat! There are just 4 portions of mince left, the rest is all cooked up into meals :D Quite annoying if I fancy something and want to cook that night but forces me to eat the food we have in the freezer already cooked.

    Getting there in baby steps!

Didn't quite manage the NSD today, but did take a few bits out of the freezer, so one aim achieved at least!

Out - Tapas:- Chorizo in red wine x 2, Chorizo and cheese croquettes, breaded mozzarella sticks, paella, Spanish meatballs, w/m pitta bread

I made a big salad out of ys veg too (apart from the cherry tomatoes) and had that, it was yummy, normally the tapas pots are £2.50 each, but I calculated it came to £2.56 for all 6 thanks to ys and the discount that came off even though they were reduced.

Popped to T Express and for £1.22 got the following-

    2 x 2.25kg bags of white potatoes
    4 x lemons
    Pack of 3 large onions
    Italian pasta salad
    Garlic and onion dip
    Bag of lettuce
    Fresh ginger
    Finest Maris Piper mashed potato

So a few things to have for the next few days, it was quite handy, I'd just run out of potatoes and lettuce!

    Morning all.

cazj80 - I would have loved those Tesco Express bargains, well most of them. Walking away with a couple of carrier bags for only £1.22 is a great feeling.

Only spent another 20p in Sainsbury's last night on a pack of organic onions. They must have cleared stuff very early and the shop was full of staff doing a sort of mega-stock take!!

Took out last pack of hot cross buns, so that's breakfast sorted today (probably tomorrow also) - toasted hot cross buns.
Pasta bake for main meal and probably another cheese and onion sandwich. Strawberries to finish and need to do something with some pears.

Desperate need for veg - tomorrow the latest.

Might pop into Asda for some Sanex (50p using coupons) - handy for hamper.

  • Well I've been partially successful with my plans :p I took two duck breasts out the freezer yesterday as they were the first packet I found and we had them last night with runner beans and courgette (fritters) from the garden. I would normally have left the duck as I'm not overkeen.
However.... went out with MIL and she wanted to go to Sainsbugs so I ended up buying two packets of chicken thighs and drumsticks. I'm allowing myself this as its very unusual to find organic chicken on markdown and they were £1.75 down from £3.50. Must try harder today:o but out with MIL again.
I don't know if it'll help anyone on here but Just for P*ts had boxes of 48 pouches on Whisk*s for £9 - that's the cheapest I've seen for a while.
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

Breakfast was nice ................... so had it twice. lol
Think proper butter makes all the difference though.
Must get on the hamster wheel for 1/2hr later. :D
The Copella juice was nice also - free, but would pay £1 for it.

Waiting for the sun to come back out and then going to sit in the garden and clean some shoes!!!
Think I'll start the pasta bake now and then just need re-heating later.

you were right about the configuring, i called t-mobile and they helped me sort it!

So now i have my coupons printed yay! i have anchor cream, free mcvities cakes, bon mamme, andrex, piriton and airwick.

Think i got a bit over zealous! as i know this stuff won't be on offer, will go to asdas for candles, the cream and cake.

I have been up all night and havent slept, so been fixing my computer and am so pleased.

Just had 2 50\50 pittas with utterly butterly, going to hunt for a receipt then head out to do some stuff!

    Morning
Today I have pulled out a pack of chicken portions to make in to southern fried chicken. I will serve it with home made garlic and cheese balls and salad.
Breakfast has been cereal, lunch will be left over curry on a jacket potato.

No shopping here today but I did get a lot of bargins last night. :)

That was a lucky guess then. :D

I still remember when we got my Son a dongle when he 1st moved to London to live and more recently when we got him a micro-sim for his ipad. Both times the settings just needed tweaking.

When it went from, "This doesn't work", to, "It's working now" and most of frustrations gone - happy memories. lol

Make sure you use those coupons with the best prices/offers - that's where max bargains come from.
Not always possible of course and sometimes you need to compromise.

Good luck with your new "toy".
