cazj80 - well done, lots of stock there. Like a mini freezer centre. lol
Well impressed with the variety.
I went to Morries, Asda and Sainsbury's, but not too good really.
Morries:
Pack of 4 steak and kidney pies reduced to 99p
Pack of 2 handmade pasties reduced to 75p
3 lots Swaledale cheese reduced to 9p each = 27p
Pack of spicy bean burgers reduced to 35p
Cheerios £1.14 (used £1 coupon) = 14p
Choc Cheerios £1.19 (used £1 coupon) = 19p
Total = £2.69 (did quite well there)
Loads of pies reduced, but mixed with sausage rolls etc to 75p-99p - happy with what I got. Not much bread reduced, so walked away.
Asda:
2 x Anchor cream 50p each (used 2 x 50p coupons) - so free
Country life butter £1
Total on food - £1 (did buy flowers for only 54p)
Sainsbury's:
Cravendale £1 (used 50p coupon) = 50p
Walkers crisps 49p (used free packet of crisps coupon) - so free
Total = 50p
Pretty much useless at Sainsbury's (probably too late) and had to but the Cravendale to put crisps through s/scan.
Asda and Morries had loads of yoghurts and cream and Asda had bread, but nothing I fancied.
Today's food spends = £11.05 and weeks spends = £32.10.
Just checked and that's only the 2nd week of the year I've gone over £30 and this week was the 2nd highest of the year. The highest week (£46.50) was when I stocked up on Nescafe. This weeks spends, I stocked up on canned drinks, prawns and of course chocolate).
Back to a £25 week max next week and hopefully 2 more £25 weeks and then off to M&S to get some cakes as my treat for all the work.
No more weekly budgets after 3 more frugal weeks, just aiming to get to the end under £1500 (doddle now).
I need things next week and will make a list tomorrow. Mainly fruit and veg, eggs, cheese, frozen chips and sweetcorn and some spread.
Groupon on Thursday will take me near to a cheap Asda (Byker) for reduced stuff.
I never bought my Lidl fudge today, but may next week if budget allows. I knew this weeks spends would be high, so resisted ................ would have been eaten though if bought. lol
ps: still 30 bars of chocolate left.

Lynsey, I also bought some Lidl chocolate today - got 13 bars, and I still have 13 bars, very impressed with myself for resisting opening one tonight!! I've had to put them in a cupboard behind lots of other bits so that they're not staring me in the face when I open the door :rotfl:0

How strictly do Lidl police their 6 per customer on the half price weekend deals? I might be really sad but I'm planning on popping in again tomorrow for some more as somehow 6 doesn't seem nearly enough!0

I think it depends on the store, I bought the gammon today and picked up 6 packs, but didn't realise that my daughter had also picked up one and put it in the trolley, until I got to the tills, so I had 7, but they just scanned them through like normal, and he did see that I had 7 as he put it in as 7 x and then only scanned one.
Hope that makes sense!!0 -
benjacksmum - the 6 "rule" is generally just on the meat offers. It's 6 per person also.
I might pop in myself tomorrow also ...................... just kidding.
cazj80 - who'll be the 1st to eat a bar?? lol
Hoping the new white chocolate comes on soon at half-price.

Wow caz that's quite the stock you have there!!
Well done on your bargains Lynsey
I forgot to go to lidl and won't have a chance tomorrownevermind.
The last few days I've taken 1 bag of wedges, 8 burgers and 2 vegetable fingers from the freezer.
Today I got little stars yoghurts (I think can't be !!!!!!ed looking in the fridge). 8 or 12 for £1.25. Tropicana 1.75l orange juice for £2.50. New toothbrush for T £1 and blueberries £1. Was £5.85 but I had a £3 coupon so only paid £2.85.
Lynsey yes he'll eat any yoghurt put in front of him and aside from chocolate cake he doesn't touch the stuff

Sequeena - she's normally not too bad, however my one year old is teething at the moment and waking up all night, she's a champion sleeper normally and I'm a bit tired in the daytime at the mo!0 -
