Hi benjacksmum and summersun12, welcome aboard :T

OH and I have always had a notebook with the contents of the freezer in which gets updated every month as we sometimes forget to cross stuff off as we use it or add more.

Writing it all down in an inventory list one freezer at a time might be a daunting task but when you look at the list sometimes you can plan menus just from that. A little notebook helps with stock rotation too because you can easily see what's been lurking for awhile.

With a larder or cupboard usually you can shuffle stuff about a bit without risking frostbite ;) I try to remember to check dried herbs and spices once a year to make sure they don't smell stale.

Thanks for thinking of me benjacksmum ;) Must confess I haven't got room in freezer for YS milk atm :o

I would say welcome but you have just made me go and make a slice of toast with this covered in jalapenos.

    Thankyou, it is very nice.:rotfl:

So i went to mr s, on the way back from the fabric shop and getting another drying rack, spent £16.21 after using coupons and conditional spend voucher, for the money i got: carrots, potatoes, onions, strawberries, pineapple, x 4 ribenas, half price cooked prawns, green beans, french fries, kingsmill pitta pockets, tomato puree, 4 pack of twirls, pack of m&ms, a ryvita mini snack pack, a pack of sweet chilli snack a jacks and creme fraiche.

Cant wait to make my mackrel filo tomorrow, having that for dinner and chicken soup for lunch, both made from scratch.

I have promised myself i will no do any more food shopping for 2 weeks, i have more than enough in freezer contenets as follows:
    1 tub of cream
1 bag of frozen chopped peppers
    parsley
    14 fish fingers
    8 vegetable fingers
    6 mini quiches
    2 packs of cubed pancetta
    3 mozerella balls
    2 small baguettes
    1 pasta meal for 3
    1 macaroni for 3
    1 apple and prune crumbles
    3 packets of mackrel
    1/2 pack of farmhhouse veg
    container of stwed fruit
    pack of southern fries
    pack of ready cooked prawns
2 packs of 5 chicken thighs
2 packs of 10 chicken wings
    2 pack of mince
    1 pack of sausages
    1 whole chicken
    1 pack of diced beef
    6 pork shoulder pieces
    2 mini milks
    1 filo pastry
    1 puff pastry
    1 pack of 6 pancakes

I definately think with only me in the house, i really dont need anything else for 2 weeks, my fridge is not empty anymore either.
Just had the wings and egg fried rice was yummy, the rice was for 2 didnt eat it all, so had to throw the rest away as was ys, just took out the mackrel fillets, filo and chicken thighs to use tomorrow, funny enough i had trouble with the packed meat drawer, i took 5 thighs out and the other stuff would not go in! it was like i had added something rather than taking something away! there was a tiny space in another drawer, so had to put a pack of chicken wings in there to get everything to fit!, now my drawers are full again! lol

Just done my first Ocado shop. Really confusing website, worse than Waitrose :(
Saved 7.68 on offers including ice cream, beer, coffee beans, fresh ravioli for OH, cheese and runner beans then used the £20 off voucher free delivery code they sent me by email so cost 41.32 instead of 61.32 Anyway saved me bus fare to Waitrose or having to do min order £50 to get free delivery. Also got Bared For You paperback ;) £3 off.

Q1: - Does he eat Munch Bunch fromage frais??
Q2: - Does he eat chocolate??

If the answer to Q1 is yes or even maybe and the answer to Q2 is a definite NO, then I could take him for a week. :D

NSD yesterday and that's 3 NSD's this week.
Weeks spends will still be on the higher side due to Coke, shandy and prawns bought last Sunday.
Going for the chocolate early today and may buy one pack of the gammon. I might even buy some Lidl Luxury Fudge @ £1.25 as my other treat!!!

Nothing really planned food-wise today, but took out a pack of Lidl pork sausages. Got a few potatoes left, so may make sausage and mash with onion gravy, or make have sausage sandwiches for breakfast ............................. or maybe chocolate. ;)
Might take out a ready meal (curry) for hubby tonight??

Hope the sun comes out, it turned really nice yesterday.

Tot up the spends later, but around £21'ish already this week.

    Morning,
I really need banned from the supermarkets.:o
With the kids being away me and my husband decided to get a bottle of wine last night. We went to the local MrT to get it.
I came out with 1 bottle of wine. £5.19
    1 ham sandwich, 19p
    2 carbonara sauces, 34p
2x 2pk of tesco finest salmon and lemon fish cakes, 62p.
I am not shopping today, not even for chocolate.

Breakfast will be cereal from the 11 boxes I have in. Lunch will be the ham sandwich for me and I will make my husband salami and cheese bun. Dinner will be home made kfc style chicken. Very bad for you but it is a weekend. :D

Does anybody want a game of guess how much chocolate Lynsey will buy? ;)
