I'd believe you Lynsey, the heavens really opened. I tried to get my husband to run outside for washing but he wimped out. :rotfl:

2x doughnuts now pulled out for the kids for supper. 2 portions of curry put in though.

We had lots of rain yesterday, none today though despite some nasty looking clouds.

Me and T are sharing a small broccoli quiche and a tin of beans with banana and nectarines for afters :) Total cost = 73p!!

Morning, I hope everyone is well.
I have taken out 2 chicken carcasses this morning to go in to the slow cooker to make a chicken and noodle soup for lunches. It is just starting to smell nice now. :)
My back is still in agony so I won't be shopping today. I wanted to shop as well for the free anchor cream but never mind.
Dinner was meant to be chicken but with making the soup I don't want chicken again.
I think we might just have cheese and red onion omlettes with a salad or a jacket potato.
Snacks will just be fruit as we have a mountain of it needing used up.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hi everyone I've been away for a few days! Went to Mr S's yesterday to stock up on lunch items and as I had a voucher for £9 off £60 spend I decided to stock up on cupboard stuff. Also got 2 packs of YS donuts and 2 boxes of Mars/Snicker icecream (thats what happens when you take husband shopping :D).

Spent £70, got it for £61 and a price match voucher thing for £4.45 which I can use in the next 2 weeks so overall not too bad but definitely not sticking to my plan!

Bought some mushrooms to make up risotto rice with so they will be going into the freezer.

Ate two of my YS Morrie's meals which were delicious takeaway chinese chicken - should have been 2 for £6, I got them for 99p each - they were really tasty and loads of chicken in them.

Although the freezer is quite full, it is full of naan breads and donuts it seems so will have to get those eaten.

Hopefully just doing top-up shops for lunches until payday which is about 3 weeks away :/

Not sure what lunch and dinner are yet... hope you are all well :)

    Happy Monday!

I've used up some bits from the freezer this weekend - some pork loin steaks, which I made into pork chow mein, some lamb mince, bread. However, I have put some bits back in, I got some of the tapas bits at Tesco's yesterday - they had some chorizo dishes in red wine reduced from £2.50 to 55p, so I bought 5, as I love love chorizo, and it can be frozen, and when I paid, I didn't realise that they were on a multibuy and £3.50 was taken off my shopping, and I only paid £2.75 for them!! So they're in my freezer now. I got quite a few ys bits at the weekend, mostly fruit and veg this time, which has been eaten/will be eaten in the next few days

My steam mop I got from Asda a couple of weeks ago has broken, on the third time I used it. I'm a bit annoyed, especially as I thought I'd thrown the receipt away, but after a bit of searching I found it, so going to ask for an exchange later today. I might try and go this evening so I can see if there are good reductions at the same time!

ammonite - I didn't know you could freeze donuts, so if I see any reduced in future I think I'll get them and freeze them. I normally try and avoid buying them as I don't trust myself not to eat them all!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning.

Had a toasted hot cross bun for breakfast and pork loin to finish later.
Took out some mince for cottage pie tomorrow (use up last of carrots).
Off to Asda to get some free cream, crumble mix (for rhubarb) and use some L'Oreal shampoo coupons which I got from my Brother (needs using today). Also got some Men's L'Oreal coupons which end today and may pop into Tesco and pick up some noodles.

Soworried - you will need something stronger for that back pain - I use Naproxen (from Dr) which are quite good for pain.

Out most of day visiting family and friends and probably no bargain shopping today. May need to pop into Morries for Brother and might check the L'Oreal prices there.
