Some people have more money than sense to pay that for potatoes.

You're not kidding ....................... I was "umming and arring" over the 39p. ;)
From the field to the store in under 48 hours ...................... and then sitting there for a week waiting to get "whoopsied" :rotfl:

Took out a Lidl honey and mustard cured pork loin joint for tomorrow - should do sandwiches also.

bramble1 - good bargains. How is the pup, though probably not a pup anymore??

Sequeena - good luck with the "party" - go grab those bargains.

    Catch up later.

    Hi y'all !

Soworried could I have some of the double cream by email as well please for my YS organic strawberries :D

I don't eat potatoes but if I did and wasn't buying organic I would buy the salad potatoes in Lidl which were really good and dirt cheap.

Sequeena hope the birthday party goes well

NSD for me but sent OH with cash down to Lidl to get UHT skimmed milk for dawg and Poundland for Winalot. Really muggy here and am shopped out being my excuse.

B - organic eggs n bacon from Waitrose with YS org chestnut mushrooms
L- Laverstoke Park Farm buffalo burgers (Waitrose offer) with HM chopped salad and HM dressing using Heinz moutarde de Dijon from Approved Foods
D - Cloud Nine org meatballs, Seeds of Change pasta sauce with org courgettes added. OH gets the org. Thomas the Tank Engine pasta with his :rotfl:

    Have a great day xxx

Lunch out was nice food-wise, but drinks expensive.
£2.50 for a 330ml bottle of sparkling water!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got my red leather bag from Debenhams (Jasper Conran) ....... £85 and 70% off, so only £25.50..............
................ also a Per Una dress (reduced 5 times lol) from £35 to £7 (bought for holidays next year) from M&S dumping shop.

No shopping (food-wise) so far and just totted up weeks spends and only £9.71 spent. Thinking of another NSD (that'll be 3 this week) and an under £10 week (just talking about it a few days ago). The stuff I need (ice-cream and crumble mix) can easily wait - so can any more "whoopsies". I only want to use some L'Oreal coupons, so maybe tomorrow??

A nice coffee and watch some Olympics - put my feet up.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi all

Well had homemade pizza and salad for tea. Lettuce from the greenhouse and used up a sachet of yeast, some bread flour and half a jar of pizza topping sauce that I had lurking in the cupboard (other half went in freezer for next time).

Planned to have chicken breasts wrapped in bacon and stuffed with sausages tomorrow (all out of the freezer) with home grown new potatoes, carrots and broccoli.

rest of the week looks like this:

    Monday: Sausages, Mash and veg
    Tuesday: Curry, rice and naan
    Wednesday: fish pie
Thursday: Gammon steak, new potatoes and cauliflower cheese

I do not know if I am proud, embarassed or a mix of both.:o

I took the kids out for a couple of hours today and my body is so used to inactivity now that my back is in agony. :(

I asked my husband to go and get me some pain killers, co-codamol. We are all normally healthy so we did not have anything in. He went to Sainsburys and took our daughter age 15 with him.

She proudly burst in the door saying "Mam, I got over 2kg of fresh chicken for only 99p" :D She automatically went to the YS areas. She also knew that was a great YS price and told me of all the YS not worth it prices.

Lynsey - wow you did well there !

Soworried - if it was me I'd be pleased that DD was learning value of money and that if she went to uni later she'd actually be able to eat pretty well.

    Evening all!

Have been so caught up with watching the olympics, I've hardly been on my computer all week

I had a bit of a nightmare yesterday, I went into my conservatory yesterday morning, just on spur of the moment to check on a plant, and found the door to my huge, fully stocked freezer open!! Luckily, it was all still frozen, bar a few bits, and the temperature was at -5, I don't know how it was opened, I hadn't been in there for a day and a half, and I'm sure it would have completely defrosted in that time, it gets so hot in our conservatory during the few weeks of hot weather we have, but it just won't fit anywhere else in my house!! Luckily everything's ok, and it's now back to the right temperature. I dread to think what I would have done if I'd to throw it all away

So going to make a bit more of an effort to use up some of the bits in it now, oh and get some of the childproofing locks to go on the door, so it did happen by randomly popping open, the locks would keep the door shut

    Hope everyone is well :-)

    Morning
I am glad your little boy enjoyed his party sequeena. x

Thankyou Edwardia, I am proud really. :)
I have pulled waffles out for breakfast today. For lunch I have pulled out some ham and pea soup. Dinner will be curry with the last of the left over chicken, mushrooms and onions, served with rice and prawn crackers.
Today will be a spend day as I am going to treat myself to a bottle of wine while I watch the tennis and my husband to 4 cans of what ever is on special. :)
