I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

Hello ladies- and thank you for the welcome off the poster who welcomed me!
Me and my OH are considering letting our COSTCO membership lapse (its a long way to go!) Does anyone know how cheap LIDLs cleaning products are? Where is the best place to buy dog food? Our nearest town only has a Tesco and a LIDL- I imagine there are pound shops in Northallerton but i'm not sure? COSTCO doesn't seem worth it anymore, we are saving on what we buy but it costs about £30 to get there now!
We buy: dog biscuits, cat food, pasta, rice, noodles, diet coke, flavoured water, plain water, fanta, dr pepper, soap powder, fabric conditioner, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, kitchen cleaner, window cleaner, toilet cleaner and bleach, boxes of crisps, box of baby wipes (although we only buy these every so often..I have 2 packets left from a box I brought nearly 2 years ago as I only use them for sticky hands and faces when I remember), trash bags, tissues, soap, shower gel and shampoo/conditioner
We are going once every six months (so I am sure you can imagine what our utility room must look like after I have been with my family- I usually have to take 2/3 helpers with me to push extra trolleys!) and save probably quite a bit and the quality is usually excellent.
I'm not sure what to do really...could always go when we are in Liverpool visiting Mum but would be a pain having loads of things in the back of the car and taking it all home!0 -
It depends on what type of dog food you want to use
We get 15kg for £6.49 in home bargains. That usually does us just over a week but we do have 3 dogs, the biggest being a very big mastiff
Copella orange and apple juice 1.25 litres is on offer in morrisons for £1 at the moment for anyone interested. Since watching a show on BBC1 (jimmy's food farm??? Can't remember the exact name) I've only buying orange juice not from concentrate and this is the best deal I've found so far (short of squeezing your own oranges of course).
Found a packet of maggi's chilli chicken in the cupboard so guess it's chilli chicken and whatever else I bung together for tomorrow's dinnerWife and mother :jGrocery budget

I've been told by OH that the meatballs in Ikea are to die for but our nearest one is 35 miles away and we don't driveWife and mother :jGrocery budget

I like the Cloud Nine organic meatballs from Sainsbury's for snacking (small, can be eaten hot or cold) and Seeds of Change organic sauces are fantastic - I stockpiled when they were on offer at various supermarkets recently. Confess I've never been to an IKEA.
In Sainsbos if you order breakfast per item and don't have a full breakfast it works ouy cheaper than saying I'll have the x name breakfast without the toast and beans for example. In Sainsbos you get it all on one plate, in Morrisons they plate each item separately !
Tesco has Grove organic orange juice on offer atm that's not from concentrate Sequeena. Having given up cigarettes, coffee and booze OH now guzzles OJ and wine gums.
Trying to persuade my mother to start eating out of her freezers, only one of her and she has two plus two huge fridges.
Going to Lidl tomorrow to get some washing powder and organic Heirloom tomatoes.0 -
Morning, I hope everyone is well.
Kat, I am thinking of you, please stay strong. x
Waffles have come out for breakfast this morning, buns out for lunch, I will make either hot dog sandwichs or egg mayonaisse, and I have no clue yet for dinner. I need to have another rummage.
I have not stuck to my meal plan at all this week. I'm just in one of those spontanious moods I think. As long as I don't combust! :rotfl:
No shopping today except to pick up my free chocolate bars from the local shop and post back a roll of badly cut toilet roll to Charmin. 6 rolls were all so bad I can not use them in the bathroom if people are coming over. I win though as they only want 1 roll back and have given me £5 of my next purchase. :T£36/£240

Morning.
I need to get a few things today, like sugar.
Going to M&S Outlet shop later and may pop into Newcastle and/or Metro Centre.
Looking for wallpaper to spruce things up and generally looking for bargains!!
I'll have to start "couponing" on a bigger scale again, lost the plot at the minute, but not too much missed. Last year I would take almost everything!!!!
Bad news about L'Oreal though!! Only 1 coupon per pc ........... AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH.
Just toast for breakfast, with maybe cheese spread.
Soup later and may try a fish-cake.
Catch up later.

I've had a rummage and pulled out 4 turkey breasts. I will stuff them with cream cheese and wrap in bacon and serve them with a salad.
My daughter and I have just been in to town for a few hours girlie shopping. I really enjoyed it and no panic attack. I feel like I am starting to turn a corner. :j
This might sound nuts but I think making myself go shopping for whoopsies every few nights has helped me get past the mental block I had about being outside. Anyway enough rambling on from me.£36/£240

Well done so worried, baby steps, if it means you get whoopsies too even better!
I am getting my pc on monday, then i can get into coupoining, cant wait for the freebies.
Ordered some gourmet popcorn as a treat from joe and sephs, quite expensive.
I took out a pork shoulder yesterday and wont really have loads of chance to eat it, it was a slice, so i made it into thin strips, put some reggae reggae sauce as a marinade, a little oil and put on the george foreman, with the last 2 pitta pockets, also from the freezer, i'm out for dinner tonight, at a beach bar in london, so looking forward to that, also i cut the pineapple and it was a biut spolied, so turned it into a smoothie, along with some ginger, 2 peaches and half of the sainsbos melon, was really lovely, had that with the pork pittas as brunch.
Not sure what else i can take out for tomorrow, i need to go out in the morning to do some jobs, then i am out in the evening for drinks, not sure if i will have anything from freezer.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Today we used a HM frozen single Shepherds Pie (for me), macaroni cheese from the freezer and a free from spicy bean burger from the freezer for lunch. OH has taken a packet of sausages out for tomorrow and he's knocked up a chicken curry for later with 3 fillets from freezer and a jar from cupboard.
We are going away for a few days and will be taking beans, spaghetti, rice, tinned pears and oranges, tomatoes, sweetcorn, custard, noodles, Napolina sauce, OH's wheat free pasta, Taco shells, soup, pineapple, biscuits, laundry tablets, micro fibre cloth, tuna and salad cream from the cupboards and will get other bits (mainly fresh/fridge etc) locally. Might do an online shop as most deliver to holiday places now and have a £10 off £50 spend? Will see.
Must get OH to make an inventory of outside freezer, as I don't have a clue.
