So Sorry Kat
I have not eaten anything from my house at all, its payday and have been out all day, plus had dinner at my gramsi of course supplied the apple pie m&s and my cousin supplied cream and custard, bought lots of stuff from the market, watermelon, pineapple, peaches, soup mix, ginger, pumpkin, cho cho, kidney beans, mangoes.
I bought the pineapple as i want to make upside down pineapple muffins, really healthy, using pineapple, carrots sultanas, not much sugar and wholemeal flour which i still need to get lol and muffin cases, will get some half price ribena while i am at it, maybe tomorrow.
Can't wait for breakfast tomorrow, going to have some of the fruit, maybe make a smoothie during the day if i can be asked, having the painters around at 1, to do the bathroom, might pop out before to get the muffin bits only, flour and muffin cases, the receipe also asks for tinned pineapple so need that too.
Can anybody help, my brown sugar is stuck in 1 clump, is there anyway to rescue this? or shall i just get more? its just that to make some biscuits i had to hit it with a rolling pin to chip some off lol, so the packet is now battered, so can't do that again lol.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Morning.
katskorner - so sad and so sorry. Sympathy to you and your family.
"As you grieve know that we are remembering you and honoring the memory of your Nan."
ms_night_ryder - try the microwave tip with the caked sugar - put in a microwave suitable bowl, cover with moist/damp cloth and microwave on full power for 1 minute or so.
I prefer the small sachets, like the ones you get from Wetherspoons.
Stir fry yesterday with garlic prawns and juice drizzled over was gorgeous.
Just snacked rest of day and Karchered the paths until late last night - garden looking nice.
Could do with some rain. :rotfl:
Spent very little yesterday and a few decent cheap bargains.
Asda:
1kg bag of chantenay carrots for only 30p
Pack of bread buns for 10p
Sainsbury's:
Cravendale (used 50p coupon) 50p
Shortbread pastry for 25p
Apple and sage stuffing mix for 17p
Days total = £1.32
Took out some bacon for bacon sandwiches for breakfast.
Probably make some carrot and coriander soup later to get rid of some carrots.
Celebrating tonight with a carvery (using £5 off voucher and free drink voucher) - so easy day.
I don't need anything today, but may take a "peep" later for fruit and possibly cheap double cream.
I will need noodles this week and will check the offers later, I think Tesco had a small offer on Sharwoods last week.
Should be another cheap week - trying to avoid buying meat.

Morning.
Kat, I hope you have managed to get some sleep. x
A pack of muffins has come out today for the kids to have as a snack later.
Breakfast will be ski yoghurt, 25p for 4 with a voucher, and a grapefruit to go with it.
Lunch will be home made ham and pea soup and dinner will be gammon and coleslaw jacket potatoes.
My purse is not going anywhere today.
I hope everyone has a good day, it is dark and overcast here.£36/£240

katskorner been immersed in Olympics, so sorry to read about your nan. Big hug to you at this sad time, kat, I'm sure we're all thinking of you xx
Have had NSD's since Saturday but since I'm not going to eat a whole rabbit by myself and needed (a) salad stuff (b) exercise, I walked 1.5 miles uphill to the big Sainsbury's here and then back again afterwards, laden down.
I had made a list of veg and asked an asst for help because I just wasn't finding stuff. She went through it with me and noticed that one of the 2 packs of organic strawberries in my trolley was date up that day so she reduced it for me there and then so I got them for 64p
Sainsbury's is doing British organic strawberries 300g 2 for £4, 200g pots of organic houmous 2 for £2, 250g organic white mushrooms, 2 for 1.50, Heinz organic cream of tomato soup 4 cans for £30 -
Afternoon all
Well i finally got around to doing my freezer and cupboard lists, not as much in there as i usually have when i decide to live out of the stocks for a while but enough to mean i don't have to do much shopping over the next few weeks which will save some much needed pennies.
I made a list of 12 meals i can make without needing to buy anything else at all, 7 meals i can make buying only minimal extras and then whatever is left i will make a list of and plan meals around them.
Tonight's tea will be Tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake using tinned tuna, tinned sweetcorn, packet mix my mam gave me, pasta twists and grated cheese and frozen breadcrumbs for the topping. Kids will have a yoghurt for afters.
I've written a shopping list which is only a few bits because we're off to stay at DH's parent's this weekend - no cooking and free food lol

Ask and you shall get. lol
Turned horrible here now.
Soup made and just needs blitzing for tomorrow.
Hubby's off, so he's taking some haddock out to make some fish-cakes.
Maybe a ready meal tomorrow night.
Just been printing off Groupons, need to start using them rather than saving them!! Probably do one on Saturday afternoon.
Might try Morries tonight for a change, though I don't get much luck there mid-week. Could possibly be a NSD today with a little luck.
BTW - that Lidl half-price coffee was ok, but would never pay full price for it.
lilmisskitkat - enjoy your weekend away - free food, nothing better.
Still waiting for easyJet to realease next summer's flights (they are later than last year, maybe due to Olympics).

Lynsey, I get the feeling you may live close to me? The weather and stores that you mention (Ikea etc). I am just outside of a place called Birtley in the North East?
Tell me not to be nosey if you do not like to say which area you are from.
Lilmiss, make sure you enjoy your weekend.
Edwardia, how nice of the lady to reduce them for you. :T£36/£240

I'm north of the Tyne, not far from Whitley Bay.
I like Ikea though at the Metro Centre for the breakfasts. lol
Ikea was nearly an option for tomorrow, but looking doubtful!!!
Now I know where you're from ................... I'll come and grab your bargains. :rotfl:
Keep your hands off mine.

Hi,
I've just found this site - just the focus I need to empty one large chest freezer, one medium chest freezer and one upright one! I don't even know what is in them any more.
So, wish me luck.0
