You're welcome, I like to pass on the bargains x

I will get some of those pasta shapes! I try not to be one of 'those' mums but I have to admit the Thomas stuff is so cute with his name on it :D

Well done on the weight loss! I'm going the opposite way at the moment and am living in leggings as I cannot fit into my trousers. I'm only 7 weeks pregnant!

Dinner was lovely! I forgot to put the timer on for the roasties so they came out rather crispy but were still lovely and fluffy inside :) I don't like to eat this late but it's only once a week. Think OH has just put an apple and custard strudle (from Tesco, 99p I think) in the oven  and typically the baby has woken up... the child can smell the sugar I'm sure of it

Morning, nothing out of the freezer today as we are having the YS 74p chilli beef kebabs we got yesterday. I will serve them with a salad.

Husband has taken my purse so that I can not shop today. :)

Sequeena - I'm in the realm of elasticated waists too and with my not so slender thighs, this is not a good look but I have few other options! We can gain weight together :D

Got leftovers for tea tonight from Mum's last night and more YS stuff that I couldn't fit in that she had bought me the other day. 5 mini croissants out and a packet of sandwich thins out as we are out of bread.

It is quite amazing how you can make do when you need to and when you can't be bothered going shopping !

Have a lovely day everyone x

I know. This thread has been going on for over 1 year now and I'm personally "eating out of freezers and cupboards" this year within an annual budget.
I was thinking early in the year that a new thread could start to do the challenge within a budget and maybe should have started one??
    Too late now anyway. lol

Took Brother shopping to both Aldi and B&M's and he spent quite a bit.
    I spent 30p on 3 x packets of Walker's crisps @ 10p each - only spends so far - may visit Sainsbury's tonight.
Cooking lunch soon, just needs re-heating.

Other spends today - 2 x Groupon deals.

  • Hi everyone, do you mind if i join in? :)

Money is tight at the moment, we've just moved house and have loads to do, plus the kids are on holidays at the moment and i'm trying to keep them fed and entertained on the cheap.

I've got 2 freezers with an assortment of meat/fish/veg/bread/hm meals in and full to bursting cupboards so i'm hoping to save money by using up what i have and only buying fresh food as needed. Any cash saved is going into the diy fund!

Tonight's tea is Rabbit casserole (rabbit from freezer, onions, carrot, celery, barley) with baby potatoes and mixed frozen veg.

I'm going to make a list of everything i have and do a menu plan later on tonight when the kids are in bed and i can hear myself think!

    K xx

    Hi lil miss,
Can I ask where you got the rabbit? Our local butcher charges £3.99 and I can only get one meal for the 4 of us out of it.
