    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all and hope all are well.

cazj80 - a few seem to have problems with the Asda mop - I've got the receipt taped to the box in anticipation. lol
Great cheap bargains - well done.

NSD yesterday and could do with 2 more NSD's this week.
I do need to go to Asda to get some free Nestle cereals (using coupons) for Son's hamper.

Toasted tea-cakes for breakfast and we're having pizzas for main meal and that'll create a little space.
Probably stir-fry for myself tomorrow and may try and get hubby to eat a large macaroni cheese and that'll create even more space!!

Busy day taking stuff to the tip and doing gardening while the rain takes a wee break.

Still need to put in the freezer, 2 packs of pancetta and 2 packets of mozerella balls, might take out something before i put them in though.

Ooh, I didn't know you could freeze mozzarella, that's interesting to know as I'm going to try and make some at some point this year, but have been putting it off as I know I won't use it all in one go, but if you can freeze it, I won't have to!

Lynsey - really annoyed about my steam mop! It made my floors look lovely and clean! I will get another one, but will think about buying the more expensive one, I don't want to buy it on impulse and then end up regretting spending so much money.

lunch today will be sandwiches etc, then beef stew for dinner, must go and put it on now! have got ys diced beef from the freezer and will use some ys potatoes, carrots and swede in it as well. Mmmmmmm

Morning all, went shopping yesterday for cinema food and got the rest of the stuff i needed and used a £3 off £20 voucher but i still ended up buying at the cinema :o

So i put 5 loaves of bread, 2 500g bags of grated cheese, a big bag of chips, 4 battered fish, 3 mince pies and a tub of icecream in, and nothing came out.

Won't be long going down tho as it's mostly bread, taking mince, pasta sauce and a few peppers and some sweetcorn out today.

Took out the pizzas and the packet of shortbread dough and noticed one of the freezer drawers was half-empty. Thought I re-arrange a few things and when sorting, I found ................................. my hubby's "lost" credit card in the front of the freezer drawer.

    Talk about frozen "chips". :rotfl:
God knows how it got there?????????????
Anyway, some stuff sorted and we have too much Quorn stuff (I don't like it) and needs getting rid of - hope Son manages to eat some!! I will use the Quorn mince for a spag bol though.
Also found some fish-fingers (I'll eat those) and some cheese (small piece which will provide extra topping to pizzas today).

G'day all ! Hope everyone well, how's your back soworried ?

Sequeena being second wife I don't have to do that myself (phew cos I'm a wimp about pain) and stepdaughter lives in USA so no kids to run after.

Had the Abel & Cole chicken drumsticks last night from freezer and they tasted great but there wasn't much meat on them :( Think the 500g of organic British chicken thighs n drumsticks from Sainsbury's much better and cheaper too at 3.50

Out: Gressingham duck legs (last of Waitrose 3 for £10 stash I think) plus Tesco organic beef medallion steaks - had a pack of these on a twofer and they were so tough I complained and got money back. I put note on them in freezer saying use for stew only but OH somehow didn't see that. Stew in summer seems weird to me. :(

In: nothing yet but off to Sainsbo's !

Lynsey, I used to eat Quorn until I found out it's soil mould fed on glucose in silos and nothing to do with mushrooms :( My mother lurves it though so I always look out for offers and tell her.

I was going to say morning but it is afternoon already.

I have been shopping this morning and spent £10.01 but the amount I got for that small amount is ridioculous. None of it was YS either, it was all mainly vouchers and stocking up on cheap items. 4x shaving gel for £1.60, just 40p each. Free cereals, free creams, free airwick airfreshners. The main cost was on frozen filo prawns, we love these and they were down to just 50p a box. :T So they are now in the freezer, I will use some at dinner to go with YS salmon I have pulled out. Nothing else should go in.

My back has eased off a little today. :)

Lynsey, that is a novel way to freeze the interest. :rotfl:

  • Afternoon everyone :) Hope all is well with you

Well we spent the weekend at the in-laws so no cooking :j and no eating out of the stocks though we did spend £40 on a meal out on the Friday night. MIL gave us £20 towards it and it was the first time in ages that DH and i had had a meal out together. Yummy tapas :D

I went to Asda yesterday and spent £29, some non food bits in there though, prob around £7. I'm still working to the meals i made a list of last week, only buying the fresh stuff we need and odds and ends as we run out of them. My Grandad gave me 3 big chicken portions so i roasted them yesterday and stripped the meat off, we had some last night in a creamy mushroom sauce with jackets and broccoli and i have 2 boxes of chicken in the freezer now to put in a risotto or pie.

Tonight we're having Sausage and bean casserole made with a packet mix (my mam gave me 10 different mixes when she cleaned her cupboards, not something i normally buy but it was free lol). Sausages, mushrooms, red onion, peppers, carrots, tin of beans, tin of tomatoes all in the slow cooker. I'll feed the kids at 5.30pm and leave it on low for DH when he gets in at 8pm.

I made 2 loaves of banana bread yesterday using some 10p/kg bananas i got on Monday, sliced each loaf into 12 and froze in packs of 6. Biscuit tin is almost empty so i might make some oat and raisin cookies later too.

I'll have to shop again before the weekend for milk, bread and fruit and i want to stock up on Branston beans as Tesco are selling them at 4 for £1.

    K xx
