Lynsey, am I missing the point, if it can be picked up the next day, wouldnt it be out of date?

Morning all, off to Brighton in an hour, not taking a pack lunch, but I have voucher cloud ;) still waiting on my free taste card, mine ran out on 17th, went to 99p store and picked up a 6 pack of water, put 2 in the freezer, so I am taking 4 bottles of water, 4 packs of baked, in case me or anyone else gets peckish, going with my cousins, will be a laugh.

Not eaten much, although i have had some fruit today, pineapple and watermelon, the watermelon wasnt great, got the pineapple from my grams yesterday it was yum, took last portion of soup to grams for lunch after Zumba yesterday and had the groupon for dinner which was nice, so will Deffo do that again. I have 1 credit active and waiting for a few more. There is not much space in the freezer as i had to force the drawers closed to put the 2 small waters in, so I wont be buying anythi.g for a while now.

Have a whole chicken, 2 packs of mince, a pack of sausages, 2 bags of chicken thighs, a pack of diced beef and 3 bags of portioned pork shoulder in meat drawer, its only me, so that should last ages with the other stuff i have ready meals etc.

    Have. Lovely day all.

    OOD??
It's not the use by, just the BB date - stuff like bread, cake things and fruit, veg etc (display until).
    Obviously not refrigerated stuff.
They have been increasing what they give away of late - nice touch and may "tweak" the store's figures a little??
Both Sainsbury's in my immediate area now give stuff away - how much gets taken from the walk-in-centre, I don't know.

    Last post of morning. lol

Just heads-up if you can get access to the Sainsbury's free mag.
On page 32 there is a coupon for £1 off the Bavaria shandy and it's now reduced to £1.49 for 6 cans - so only 49p with coupon.
If you can get 14 packs = £20.86 and use 14 coupons (minus £14) = 6.86, you also get a money back voucher (Brand Match) for £6.86 (as Asda only £1). lol
Similar "glitch" with Bavaria lager (£1.50 coupon on same page) as Tesco is half-price - you could mix and match. Hubby doesn't like the Bavaria lager, but we may try the shandy later on ..................... or at least some of it as a part-shop??

Catch up later, have a great day - weather still dull here!!!!

    Hi all

Just had cajun beef (from freezer) with salad for dinner. Tea will be a pasta dish, also from the freezer.

Tomorrow will be a pizza and chicken pieces in breadcrumbs as having sil down and her children. Need to get something to drink and for puds.

kat - thinking of you all at this time. x
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

That's a good deal Lynsey. I'll have to miss out though as my nearest sainsburys is in the city.

Glorious day here again. 250g ys mince out of the freezer (65p) to do a quick bolognese once the child is asleep. You'd think the heat would knock him out but nope he's still as active as ever.

    Hi All,

Mom and dad been to see nan tonight and she is trying to talk a bit more but they say she is still quite garbled. But that seems good to me. She is off the saline drip and on water (?) they think.

Food today - grabbed a bag of cocktail sausages this morning and cooked to take on picnic - all gone again. Dinner for boys was fish fingers and potato footballs with a small portion of sausage casserole and a few green peas (ok yep a strange mix but the sausage casserole box had broken in the freezer so...). We are having bubbly batter fish with salad. Hubby currently slicing red pepper and washing little gem. Very much great as I am shattered after taking the kids out all day in the sun! (countryside centre and park then walk through meadows and woods with picnic somewhere in the middle!).

Then tonight I ventured in to the next road to find my cat who hasn't been home since saturday. There he was sitting on my friend's drive and cheerfully said hello to me then followed me home. Mad crazy moggy.... love him but he will give me greys before anyone else!
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Steak out of the freezer today and a cherry pie to take to my parents. Nothing should go in as I have no space to do any more shopping.:o

    Morning.

katskorner - hope that's positive news about your Nan.

Went to a fruit and veg shop yesterday and bought a dozen large free range eggs (£1.70), some new potatoes and mushrooms - total £3.15

Sainsbury's last night and bought 2 packs of hot cross buns (9p each), pack of tea-cakes (9p), twin pack of garlic baguettes (39p) and a pizza (99p) - £1.65 spent.
Days total = £4.80 and set until the weekend really.

Sainsbury's had reduced potatoes (49p and too late) and diced lamb and quite a bit of salmon which I left.
Loads of yoghurts also and tubs of custard desserts. Quite pleased I stayed firm and avoided the bargains, especially the meat and salmon.
Sainsbury's never had any shandy in stock!!!!

Forgot to book Groupon (so another day) and took out cooked cocktail sausages to have with onion gravy, new potatos, carrots and mint sauce.
    Toasted hot-cross buns for breakfast.
