Afternoon all.
Kat, glad your nan has made and improvement.
Had such a brilliant day in brighton, laughed all day.
My sainsburys never reduce bread by more than 40% never anymore, and i have noticed now, insted of doing final reductions to 25% they have changed it to 30%.
Might have the chicken breast and chips today, not feeling to good, when i got in from brighton i threw up, not sue what that was about, so i'm taking it easy today, no cooking or planning.
No shopping needed for a while, going to use the cubed organic beef in some kebabs, wish that i had seperated it into 2 portions now and maybe a chow mein, on saturday, we will see, going to take out some soup for tomorrow.
Lynsey i would love to try that glitch as it effectively works out free, but can you use 14 coupons at once? or would you do smaller amounts?Lose 28lb 3/28lb

It would depend on the assistant really as it does state they won't accept "bulk coupons".
I've only ever used 9 coupons in one go before, but others have used more.
I've got 14 coupons and going to ask first, basically asking, "Can I put them all through in one go to save time or do I have to put them through separately or even daily??"
Still worth getting them at 49p (8p per can) with 1 coupon - I bought several for £1 from Asda and like them.
Good luck.

Afternoon all !
katskorner - do hope that your nan improves xx
ms_night_ryder - Brighton is fabMethinks you might have had a touch of sunstroke.
OH is in London now until next Friday night with his stash of food, and when I rang him earlier he was planning carrot and coriander soup and crackers with cheese and Marmite (eww) for lunch followed by banana custard and then organic beans on toast for a teatime snack. The WI oatie biscuits, wine gums and shortbread are gone already
After the hassle caused in trying to buy 2 packs of Evian from milkandmore I have yet to have any lunch but yesterday I got YS bagged organic watercress spinach and rocket and I found a pack of Sainsbury's special offer organic sirloin steak OH had fished out of freezer and forgotten to take so I'm having that for dinner :j
Tesco had packs of half a side of salmon for £10 yesterday but I couldn't take tht on the train0 -
Edwardia, i think you may be right about the sunstroke.
Decided i'm having a jacket potatoe and cheese from freezer and the remainding chicken breast, my fridge is nearly empty, but my freezer is bursting lol.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

hi all,
no more news, parents are visiting again tomorrow then coming to us after so see if any changes.
took the boys swimming today so dug out some HM moussaka before we went and they had that for dinner with couscous and a bit of pasta from the fridge. We are also having moussaka for our dinner although not that hungry really.
Parents are here for weekend and brother too sat and sat night so will be cooking for us all on saturday. Curry, chilli or the like usually!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

I was a little naughty today, but was nearly very naughty!!!
So much in control in recent days/weeks with meat as well.
Had a look in Asda and there were loads and loads of reduced stuff - mountains of the stuff.
Picked up several items and filled a basket, then put things back, little by little.
I did buy 2 gammon "ready to roast" joints with honey glaze for £1.40 each, but did have 4 in basket at one time. lol
Also bought a carton of double cream for 30p - so only £3.10 spent, but could easily have been £10+ as some decent stuff, especially ready meals. Nearly bought a few packs of smoked haddock fish-cakes, but also put them back.
Having a gammon joint tomorrow and froze one - only bought as it was something I never had in freezer and like. Think I'll do a mushroom sauce and have with sweetcorn and jacket potato??
ms_night_ryder - popped into Sainsbury's to try and get 14 packs of shandy, but not enough out. I did ask if I could use 14 coupons in one hit, but was told they no longer would take as many, but once did. Maybe just have to settle for a few at a time .................. one more try though in another store with a "friendly assistant" - if he doesn't accept them, then I'll admit defeat!!!
Probably end up just getting 5 or 6 packs to go with what I have.

Hi everyone - have been mad busy with work over the last few days and so haven't had chance to come on and post. Have just read through the thread quickly.
Kat - glad to hear that your Nan has made a little progress - it must be so worrying for you all.
Lynsey - hope you are okay after the hospital.
I have had very little money over the last week and so we have been eating almost exclusively out of the fridge, cupboards and freezer - the freezer is depleted and I only have 500g pack mince, a large steak pie and some fish fingers and sausages left in there, along with some veg! Yesterday I made a huge macaroni cheese (using a 500g bag of the cheapie asda wholemeal pasta) and a large chilli con carne, both of which will do us until the weekend, when hopefully I will have been paid and can go shopping! i also cleared through the storecupboard last night and binned loads of jars of spice some as far back as 2006:o
My oven is broken at the moment - the man is coming to see if it can be fixed on Monday, so we have been doing stuff on the hob and using the grill - It will be interesting to see if my electricity usage goes down as the kids had that oven on practically round the clock making oven chips and other "snacks" for themselves and their friends!
Went shopping for the first time this week tonight - only bought a 2l of milk and a bag of doritos though!
hope everyone is okay!Jane

Morning, I hope everyone is well and has some sunshine
I have pulled out some iced fingers for the kids today. Something for dinner will also come out of there. I haven't decided what yet.
Nothing should go in as I will not be going shopping today.£36/£240

Morning.
Hope all are well and feeling better.
Just had toast and coffee for breakfast.
Gammon joint later and probably just snacks for rest of day.
No shopping at all today and a guaranteed NSD.
Lidl tomorrow for some ground coffee (to try) and some biscuits - both half-price weekend offers.
Bit breezy here, hope it eases off as gardening day planned.
