Morning, I hope everyone is well x
Nothing should go in to day. I am making a curry with left over guinea fowl.
I won't be going shopping today.
Lunch will be a restaurant meal as my husband has another swot to do local to home. It is rare he is close enough for me to go.£36/£240

Morning all, hope you all had a lovely weekend, we have glorious sunshine yesterday, and I now have very red shoulders!
I had a busy weekend, so nothing out of the freezer, though a few bits in. Went to a farm on Saturday with our local SureStart group, as I'm going to join the parent's forum, and it was a treat day out for us! The girls loved it, we fed baby goats, went on the tractor ride, had a picnic, saw lots of animals. We had a season ticket for the same farm last year, but Ava was only 16 months old and Erin was 10 days old when we first went, so Erin just slept pretty much everytime we went there, this time was much better as they are a bit older, and really interested.
Yesterday me and a friend had a child-free day and went to the Food and Lifestyle Festival at Pylewell House near Lymington, we got tickets half price on Groupon. It was good fun, there were a lot of stalls with lovely foods on - pickles, cakes, cheese, sausages, meats etc etc, some fair rides etc. It was a good day out, but I'm glad I didn't pay full price, I think I have been a little disappointed.
Popped to Tesco on the way home, got stir fry packs, rice noodles, Finest diced beef, free range chicken breasts, bread all reduced by 75%. Missed the best discounts apparantly (my friend who works there happened to be doing the reductions yesterday!). They were'nt reducing everything to pennies as they are open to 8pm for the next 6-8 weeks.
Have just resisted doing an AF shop (free delivery when you spend over £40 at the moment) as I really do not have the room and I don't NEED any of it, however much I would LIKE it!
Will try and get some bits out of the freezer in the week coming to use up.0 -
Morning all. Hope everyone's raring to go this bright and sunny monday morning.
No idea what I'm having for meals today. Ds is back at about 12. Is it wrong to say I've been enjoying the peace? lol. It's just I know I've got six weeks with him I guess!
Got loads of things to have for main meals but may need to think about buying stuff for light lunches. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Hi all ! Sunny here yay!
Abel & Cole delivery this morning and got 4 free range eggs free so that's two days' breakfast and especially handy because I haven't got many leftHad some organic tzatziki and it worked out cheaper than buying cucumber and Greek yogurt - horribly expensive now at 2.39
Got two globe artichokes as a treat for me, because I've been buying lots for OH and it's about time I had some !
Snapped up some Yeo Valley organic yogurt as although not on special offer it was 9p cheaper than ASDA's price.
Younger bro getting married today for 2nd time as he got discount on wedding venue.. OH refused to go as Monday his busiest day and got big mtg on business continuity plan today. My mother going with her cousins and whingeing at me for not going but 'i'm happy not to be going and seeing ghastly relies.0 -
toast for lunch today, only got 2 slices left! So will either need to make more or start having jacket potatoes at lunch and something else for dinner.
my freezer WILL be empty by next week! Then I can start filling it againAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Afternoon.
Well done to all the bargain hunters, some great value there.
Had to get rest of Brother's shopping and went to Lidl and got 2 packs of onions for 46p each and a pack of frozen peas for 99p - £1.91 spent.
On to Aldi and bought 2 packs of jacket potatoes and a bag of carrots - total £1.47.
Then Morries for Brother's main stuff and "Sod's Law", potatoes and carrots reduced!!!!
Still only around the price I paid thankfully, but the carrots looked much better than Lidl's!!
Hubby saw some cans of beer (split packs) reduced to 49p per can and got several. I slipped in some pasta and some cereal bars and used the £5 voucher - rather had £5 worth of "free" food, but it was shared .......................... in his favour!!!!!
Days spends so far only £3.38 and I'll check Sainsbury's later and that's it. Still wouldn't mind some cheap cream, cakes and some more veg.
BTW, Morries are now giving till-spits, we got 2 £1 off £20, but gave them away.
Weather here is hot, but very breezy ..................... I'll have to get some washing in.

Afternoon all.
Had the fruit for breakfast, just finished having soup for lunch, have put 2 portions in the freezer, will alternate between that , the chilli and 2 preprepared jacket potatoes for lunches this week, im in brighton wed and meeting a friend for lunch thursday, so after that only.
Will be having the easy cook waitrose ys, chicken breast tomato and basil, not sure if i will grill it or oven cook it, will make the buns at the same time.
Will also go to mr s after zumba tonight, hope i dont bump into the woman who waits around lol, will see what i can get, i have 2 portions of chicken thighs, 3 portions of pork shoulder, 1 pack of sausages and a pack of pork mince, so could deffo do with a top up, just for variety, i wont go crazy though, as the non meat drawers are still very full, after i put the 2 containers of soup in.
Have a nice day all, its nice and sunny here, gonna finish watching biggest loser, have a tidy up and then head out.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I'm back! lol
Went to mr s, got ys organic beef chunks, a whole chicken, a 3 person pasta meal, a pie and some mince, i resisted a chicken pasta as it was high in calories and i already had the pie, also got x2 activia breakfast pots, 2 packs of walkers baked, a yellow melon and 2 sunpride juices that were half price, total was £13.73, so not bad at all.
I came home and started the wrights bread mix, but didnt measure the water, i ended up abondoning it, it didnt look right, plus, i had to wait 5 minutes, knead, leave for 30-40 minutes and knead again, i just want to eat to be honest, so i am having a chicken breast, home fries and peas instead lol, its in the oven now.
I think i will have to put the remainder of the soup in freezer, either that or i may take it to my grandmas, after zumba tomorrow morning, having a groupon meal for dinner with my cousin, then wednesday i will be in brighton, unless i eat it on thursday, by then i suspect it will be a bit dodgy.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

hi all,
what a beautiful day! took the boys to the local park with splashpad and they had a ball with my friend's kids.
before I went to got out a 30pk of cocktail sausages and 25 mini sausage rolls and cooked those to take. No sausages left!! got more in freezer.
Dinner tonight the boys had a pack of chicago town pizzas between the three of them with jackets (fresh) and spaghetti (tin).
We are having Free range chicken kievs from Jimmy's farm (tesco) as they were reduced and I have been wanting to try them - not gone via the freezer either for once! still £1.19 tho..
having with a pack of rice fusions pilau between us and salad and dips left from bbq yesterday.
Not sure about tomorrow as to what we are doing but cooking a chicken that my butcher friend gave me for £2.50 yesterday instead of £4.59 so that should provide a fair bit of meat to do with as I please. Must take books back to library as had final reminder!!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Evening, hope all are well.
20p spent in Sainsbury's tonight:
1 yellow pepper - 10p
1 pack of apricots - 10p
Loads of runner beans for 10p, but left them.
Days spend = £3.58.
Pork chops out for tomorrow and I think I'll get that slow cooker back out and make a casserole.
Maybe a bacon sandwich for breakfast??
Think I'll make some scones tomorrow.
Only Sainsbury's tomorrow night for shopping, see if I can get something decent and of course cheap!!
The air tonight is so warm, a bit like when you get off a plane abroad - hope it lasts.
