Morning all. The sun has got his hat on! Hip Hip Hip Hoorayyyy! Shame that when the sun comes out, ds is away with his dad!

Went to tesco yesterday afternoon. Had a voucher for £6 off a £40 shop, but also had £5 worth of club cards points. Ended up spending £50!! A few of dad's things got put on the bill as I owed a few quid for using his oyster card, but I got loads of whoopsies for around 25% of the price. Not sure how it came to so much though when I was saving money lol.

First day of London we went to Hyde park. I wanted to take ds to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground. We ended up getting off the tube at the bottom of the park and had to walk all the way to the top. Didn't realise how long it was!!!! Took about an hour! Plus the cyclists are mental. Can't believe they can ride so fast in a park. I didn't think it was very safe with a lively 5 year old.

2nd day was lego land which was a washout but at least we got to go on most things. I got drenched on the pirate falls. It was like someone had thrown a bucket of water at me! Won't be going again though. Far too pricey for what it is, although I did get in on the parent and toddler voucher by saying ds was 4 next week lol.

3rd day did the tower of london which ds liked. He liked the crown jewels which surprised me. Saw London bridge and the HMS Belfast from across the water. Then went to the imperial war museum, by which time my feet had really had enough. Walked to the London eye from there and ds was in tears, he really didn't want to go on so we didn't. We then went to the train station about 2 hrs early but ate at Giraffe stop and got a really nice burger. Also managed to get a pic of ds with the Platform 9 and 3/4 trolley by chance after spotting it on our way back from the toilets.

Didn't think ds enjoyed the trip, so kinda made me not enjoy it so much, but back home he said he did like it. Next time I'd take him on one of those amphibi (sp) vehicles though to see the sights.

Edwardia - wondered what canola oil was, as the squid in the salt and black pepper dusting I bought recently had that on the ingredients.

Lynsey - good to see you back. Hope that what ever is bothering you gets sorted soon.

ms_night_ryder. Didn't use that voucher cloud but checked it out and it was really good. The reason I didn't use it was because the nearest was a spanish restaurant. Would have LOVED to eat there as I adore spanish food but wasn't sure if there was much for ds to eat, plus it was full of adults drinking their wine etc, so ended up going to nando's nearby to be safe lol.

    Sorry for the long post!
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Morning, having a lie in, but need to get up as a lovely day - get the parasol and loungers back out!!!

Breakfast soon and took out Covent Garden minestrone for lunch.
Not decided on main meal yet.

Need to do Brother's shopping, but later as nothing needed from Lidl's half-price weekend offers - nothing needed for myself this week either (optimistic, thanks but I'm definitely waiting for half-price meatballs). lol

Lip_Stick - London is a busy place and I can imagine your feet aching. Great that you had a nice time and shame about the weather.
Hopefully my Son is coming to Newcastle for a week after filming has finished in September, so we may not have to go down there - we'll see. I'm saving Groupons just in case - we'll treat them ........................... cheaply.

Have a great weekend and don't forget the high factor sun-cream .................... if you can remember what that is!!!

Welcome back Lynsey, glad it wasn't what you thought it was but sorry you have to have more tests :(

Every time I post on here that I'm not going shopping, I go shopping that night! Went to Mr S's last night. Got some YS cookies which are in the freezer. Taking 2 packs of Sausage rolls out though. Never fails to amaze me, I buy the majority of our food when it is on special offer or YS and I really begrudge paying full price for it, yet the price of my shopping is still huge. For people who don't shop carefully like me....what must their shopping bills be like?! I dread to think!

Out at a friend's tonight so nothing coming out of the freezer. Bought lots of mushrooms to make mushroom risotto with my arborio rice that has been sitting in the cupboard for ages.

Didn't really manage to make a dent in the freezer or cupboards yesterday, only 7 days til moving day now! We were up at 6:30 yesterday to go and see our new house, so decided to get McDonald's breakfast as I'm rarely up early enough to be able to get it :p and then my parents got us dinner from the fish and chip shop :) No idea what I'm going to cook tonight, have packed away a fair amount of the kitchen stuff, so things are probably going to get creative :p Also seeing my best friend for the first time in ages tomorrow, so will be getting a takeaway pizza, that'll probably last me for lunch and dinner for a couple of days. Think I'll have to go on a health kick once we've moved after all that junk food!

Hello everybody ! :D Hope y'all have some sun.

This morning I got a Tesco moneycard with £4 on it through the post for complaining about the tough organic medallion steaks. :)

Not sure whether I'm going shopping today or not, depends on weather.

Will be doing a small Abel & Cole order to be delivered while OH is away for 8 days.

I hope everyone has lovely weather like we have :j

Today I have pulled out some beef that is cut in to strips. I am going to fry these off with some leeks in butter and par boiled broccoli and pour a cheese sauce over.

Nothing will go in as we are trying to sort out the Jungle, I mean gardens ;)
I sometimes don't enjoy having 3 of them
    £36/£240
    £5522
One step must start each journey
One word must start each prayer
One hope will raise our spirits
One touch can show you care

Thanks and thanks to all for the wishes.
They have an idea about what could be the issue (once initial ideas were dismissed), but the specialist needs to have a look at the results and decide what, if anything needs to be done.

Sad to see all the "old dears" struggling - hope that's not me in years to come. I felt like a fraudster being on the same ward just waiting to do some tests - some serious treatment going on - bless them all and to those who care for the sick.

No shopping yet, just can't be bothered. May go later, but may not. Just having a cheese and ham toastie in garden and soup later.

Getting the spare freezer back next week .................. should I fill it??

BTW - that Bavaria shandy from Asda (6 cans for £1) is really nice - might go there later for some more packs ................... now that summer has arrived. lol ;)

Suddenly remembered had taken one of OH's suits to dry cleaners Tuesday and forgotten to pick it up so we dashed into town.

Got small sea salt mill and small pepper mill and 6 mini Oreos snack pack box, for OH to take to work (bottom drawer of the filing cabinet in his office is his food stash), 6 cans duck & rabbit Winalot as top up for the dawg and A4 lined refill pad for me in Poundland, £7 the lot.

Then nipped in Lidl and picked up Class 2 organic carrots 94p, 500g organic wholewheat farfalle for OH 99p and 2 pints fresh organic semi-skimmed milk 99p.

Abel & Cole organic Cheddar (still on offer cheaper than Cathedral City) coming out of freezer tonight as OH making cauliflower cheese bake with Marks and Spencer prosciutto ( 3 packs for £6).

Don't think anything else will be coming out of the freezer today either. Me and OH decided to make the most of his last day off work before we move, whilst the weather is so nice, so we went to the seaside :) Had a sneaky Wetherspoons for lunch, but only came to about £7 for both of us. Then we were passing Iceland and saw a good deal on coke, so we got 6 litres for £3.96! Still both full from lunch, so I think later we'll probably just eat the £1 strawberries from Tesco before they go off :)

I so agree with you on this one, my food shopping is carefully planned and bought taking advantage of the offers and deals/whoopsies and really dont know how we'd manage if i just shopped straight from the shelves with no thought.
