    I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

Weather not too good today, very cloudy!!!!

Not got my veg yet as no reduced stuff, but will get some tomorrow from Lidl and Aldi (jacket potatoes 39p).

Picked up some shopping for my Brother in Sainsbury's and spent 68p on a Kingsmill 50/50 loaf (29p) and a pack of choc muffins for 39p.

Just snacked today, but the quiche was lovely (TTD) ................ and so was the muffins with squirty cream. lol

Took out some smoked haddock for hubby tomorrow, not sure what I fancy yet, but could be a jacket potato with cheese??
I need to get on top of the basics asap so we can start having proper meals again and I'll try hard this week.
Not wanting to spend more than £25, though would push to £30. I've still got a £5 Morrisons voucher (from petrol) to use and this week may see it used - see what offers they have on.

Hoping easyJet release their flights this week so we can get next May's holiday booked - they normally release around the end of July or sometimes early August. Hopefully 2 returns to Malaga for around £125 all in.

    Hey all.

Today brekkie was melon, peaches and a satsuma, lunch was chilli on top of a salad, which was really yum, I was suprised, dinner, just going to serve up some carribean soup , cant wait.

Tomorrow fruit for breakfast, soup for lunch, may take out the easy cook chicken breasts, use the rest of the iceberg, finally use up some of the Wrights bread mix and use some mccains, LOL now ive typed it, it sounds likely, will make rolls, so i can have some with my soup for lunches this week, sounds like a plan lol.

Hope your all well, its sunny in London, off to Brighton for the day on Wednesday, need to think of some stuff for the train journey, something healthy as no doubt, I will succumb to ice cream, candy floss, rock and fish and chips lol.

MrT, Sequeena posted about it yesterday.

I think the prices were so good as most people don't realise that the supermarkets are now opening later on a Sunday. :)

Soworried - dead jealous over the TTD wild venison :p I looked in Lidl for the kangaroo steaks Thursday and none there :(

Cloud Nine organic meatballs from Sainsbury's really nice, albeit small. Really liking the Seeds of Change sauces, Morrisons today cheapest 2 for £3, not like a puree, actually got pieces of veg in (we had Mediterranean vegetable sauce). I had HM salad, OH had Seeds of Change spinach trotolle (Waitrose offer 2 SoC 500g pasta for 3.40). He loved it and he's also enjoying organic Weetabix "not so mushy". OH grated parmigiano reggiano over the meatballs, Lidl I think, was really good.

We updated freezer book got around 30 - 35 meals in there atm. I bought too much mince though :(

katskorner - with only a stone to lose, it would probably be enough just to cut down on the portion sizes of carbs, say cutting down the carbs you eat by a quarter and seeing what effect it has over a month and if that doesn't work cutting down to 50% less. Just the carbs though, no need to start eating lettuce leaves for lunch ;) You are eating quite a few carbs there with pasta in the lasagne, rice with the curry, breaded mushrooms, chips, onion rings - the onion rings and mushrooms would be a better choice than the chips, rice and pasta if you're out.
Thanks Edwardia. I don't usually eat those things daily and although i made lasagne, the kids ate it, not us. The chips hardly ever happen but I do like naan with curry....

I will try it out and see if it works. Many thanks for your advice!

Thank you Edwardia! I was in HB again today and noticed they do a 3 pack of small gingerbread men. Think the brand is hills for 19p (give or take a few pence). Perhaps your OH would enjoy those more, they weren't too hard for me :)

We were out all day today, took our boy to the beach for the first time and had a chippy dinner whilst we were there :D (Thomas had half a chicken nugget and a pot of the plum organic mash I bought from HB).

hi everyone, we've done really well this week. we had at least 4 no spend days and have been using stuff up from the freezer and cupboards. think we almost have an empty shelf in the fridge freezer. need to get it empty so we can defrost it. trying to avoid whoopsies unless mega cheap or fruit and veg. bought garlic baguettes for 10p 1 x3 pack and 1 x 2 pack and a chicken vindaloo from asda curry counter for 20p.

hi all just did a huge post then ds2 hit the keyboard and it disappeared!!

Freezer emptying took a step back this weekend as went to Morrisons and did a £40 to get a 6p off a litre for fuel and also use up a £5 voucher we had so in reality only cost £35 plus the discount on fuel when we get it. Then went to tesco and did a £20 shop to get a £5 voucher which we will use in a couple of weeks as we have various points voucher plus another £4 of a £30 spend token so will save on that shop too. Got some suff for the freezer which I had finished off so its looking stocked again but at least its stuff we use fairly regularly, plus there was lots of bits that I had finished off from the fridge and cupboards before going away so perfect timing for me having the two deals on.

Must get my inventories updated as I have kind of lost the plot again after the weekend.
