Hi all
Back from holidays and had a quick read through the thread to see what I missed.
Hugs for all those feeling poorly and for those who just need one as they are having a tough time at present.
We had a fab holiday and I am now ready to start eating into my stocks again. I am going to do a refreshed stock take this week as I kind of lost the plot in marking off what we were using before we went away.
Great to see the freezers both looking a bit emptier, although OH went to costco on sunday and stocked up on a few bits we had run out off and use regularly. DS1 is off down to his dads for 10 days so just me DH and DS2 for this week so will try and use up the stuff DS1 isn't so keen on.0 -
oh dear Soworried, how about running your stocks down and making shopping lists.
hi Maisie M are you tanned ?0 -
Hi All,
Leg feels a bit better today and I managed 90 mins on the allotment yesterday high on arnica tablets lol.
No news on nan.
No food out of freezer today as went to soccer squad bbq for end of term at church. Had two giant hotdogs and half a burger so although my stocks are not down, neither is my money.
Not sure what to do tomorrow. May roast that chicken that I got Sunday as not frozen it yet. Shall have to see. One more day without small person around as pre-school breaks up tomorrow then I have kids for the hols. Let us hope the weather comes good for the holiday period.
Lynsey - hope hospital goes well and you get home quickly with results the way you want them. And also I did the groupon thing as you said adding 1 to the end of my current gmail address but it didn't seem to work? My current email addy ends in a number so could that be why? Any help appreciated on this.
Lipstick - you crack me up!:rotfl:3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

 Thought I'd post seeing as me and OH are doing this at the moment! We're moving house in 12 days (eek!), so for the last week until we move we're not buying anymore food (other than bread, milk, sandwich fillings and fruit). We have lots of cupboard and freezer bits, so haven't been struggling at all so far! Not sure what we'll be eating in 12 days though!0

Not sure what the weather's going to be like in London. Looks warm but like it may have the odd shower. Best make sure I pack an umbrella.
Lip-Stick this is England - always pack an umbrella :-)
Not sure what your up to but it's not cold here.0 -
Thanks guys - coping okay at the moment, actually enjoying my own space right now!
Defrosted some sausages and rolls this morning, which the dog promptly ate, so opted for mexican chicken burger with 3 hash browns instead! Will probs have the same tomorrow and then that is the chicken gone (bought LOADS when it was reduced to 75p a pack!!
Still have lots of burgers and some fish, some prawns and other bits in the freezer so am desperately trying to stay out shops until payday. 14 days to go. If i can go without milk and bake my own bread I reckon I can do it.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hi smoosh.
Lipstick london is rainy, when are you coming?
I done my first big shop in a month, wasn't that big at all, Mr s, 5 of the half price activia breakfast pots, a melon .and. a pack of half price boneless smoked mackrel. £5.50 spent there, went to f&v stall, cucumber, iceberg, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, pears and satsumas £5.40 spent there.
Was going to POP out and check ys But I really don't need anything except black bags and gloves which I forgot today.
For lunch I had a mackrel salad with a homebake baguette, I mafe a pork kind of casserole thing, using Costco pork shoulder its yum, but the gravy was watery and I didn't want to add.cornflour, tomorrow when I reheat I will add noodles, the broth should cook the perfect, also had that for dinner with the other baguette.
Not much needed at all.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Hi bramble1 - t$sco have a voucher in their magazine for £1 off a certain pizza , but today it is deducting it from any frozen pizza, so if you chose a £1 one it's free! (posted originally on another thread by someone whos name escapes me; but thank you to them);)0 -
Evening all. Had an extra special paella for tea, which was ys. Was nice but prefer home made. Also bought a shoulder of pork with some glaze or whatever on it which has gone in the freezer, plus got a few munchies for the train journey.
Katskorner.... Not going to mention the butcher's chopper!
Maisie M - sounds like you had a great time, where did you go again?
Hiya smoosh, welcome to the thread.
Jane, that sounds horrendous with your leg... ouch!
ms_night_ryder & Calluna - Heading off tomorrow, arrive at about half 3. Will just have a look round hyde park and kensington gardens that afternoon. Wednesday is legoland and Thursday will be the tower of london and the imperial war museum. Have looked at the forecast, doesn't look too bad, except for Thursday, which looks shocking! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0
