I'm seriously thinking about trying this challenge but can anyone tell me, where is the best (cheapest!) place to buy foil containers? I'd like to make a job lot of shepherds pie so would come in handy.

I'm sure I've seen them in £ -land - with the cardboard lids like the take aways..:)

I haven't seen the foil ones before in our local poundland, but they do either 8 small plastic ones, or 4 large plastic ones in our poundland. The small ones are big enough for one portion, and the large ones are enough for 2 portions.

Lynsey - I know - how rubbish. And it could take up to 10 days to get a refund!! How can it take that long when they can take the payment from me in a day or so!!

Lots of ys today - my best one being a punnet of raspberries for 12p! I've got white chocolate, raspberry and blueberry muffins in the oven as we speak.... mmmmmmm

Happy Sunday everyone. I had a lovely but mildly crazy weekend of being out and about a lot so apart from a curry on Fri nothing has been removed from my freezer however this week I vow to only eat home made ready meals and I will make one batch of something as I have some onions to use up. I WILL STICK TO IT!:j
Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.

Looter - I got some microwavable plastic ones with lids for OH for £1 in an independent grocery store on Friday, Got my foil trays with lids from Lidl but can't remember how much they were.. suggest Poundland, 99p Stores, Wilkinson also.

katskorner - hope your leg gets better soon and your nan too

bramble1 - welcome back sorry to hear about OH but these things happen and often the best thing to do is move on sadly (((Bramble1)))

Went to a boot fair in local park this morning, bit muddy ..supposedly local cherries were more expensive than Marks and Spencer !! Picked up 'Mediterranean Cookery' by Claudia Roden for 50p though.

Got bored this afternoon so spur of moment caught a bus up to Tesco. Bus was late, so we only had 40 mins to whizz round before it closed. Picked up offers on organic peppers, cucumber portions and pointed peppers and those Seeds of Change organic sauces. Were also able to pick up organic carrots, celery, cabbage, cauliflower, onions, spring onions, bacon and mayonnaise so much relieved to actually finally fill up veg drawer in fridge again. It's taken trips to Morrisons, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Lidl, Budgens and ASDA Thursday, Friday and today plus an independent grocery store to get organic veg. Did get a lot of it on special offer though :)

The organic butter went in the freezer, it's 9p cheaper than Sainsbury's organic butter and 20p cheaper than non-organic President butter in Morrisons.

Evening all. Had a nice day at Brid today. Thought it was a bit iffy with the weather, and that it was going to turn, but turned out nice enough and I've caught the sun a bit on my cheeks.

Shared fish cakes, chips and peas with ds for dinner and had chicken salad at mam's for tea. Sis bought some doughnuts and I had some of one when I got back. Wasn't very nice so left it. Too greasy with a funny taste. Don't know what I'm going to do for meals tomorrow.

Need to pack and tomorrow while ds is at school. His last day aww. When I picked him up on Thursday he had tear streaks down his face so I asked him why he'd been crying and he said it was because he was leaving school soon, and everyone had been crying lol.

Bramble, sorry to hear about the split, hope you're coping ok.

Kats.... it won't be long before this butcher is offering some of his prize sausage for free  ..... :o sorry.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
