Lynsey - hope all goes well at hospital.

cazj80 - I spent a week in hospital in an isolation room with e.coli 0157 and was on a drip for several days. One of the doctors asked had I got sick from the hospital food because he'd had food poisoning from it twice ! OH brought me food in after that.

    Lip_Stick you do brilliantly (((Lip_Stick)))

Definite shopping day today, hit Budgens, Marks and Spencer and Tesco today plus an independent grocery store near my mother's house.

She needed a new water butt as hers is leaking, saw one in a garden place for £49 and found the exact same one in Tesco for.. 13.48 !! They had plastic stacking chairs for 4.48 each, it looked like loads of the garden stuff is on offer because it didn't seem like much of it had shifted at all.

Marks and Spencer is doing 3 packs of prosciutto Parma (no additives) for £6 (normally 2.99 a pack) so that makes it £2 a pack ie only 1p more than in Lidl but it looks like a bigger pack than the Lidl one. I was hunting all over for organic stuff and couldn't find any.

Got Innocent orange juice with bits 900ml 2 for £3 in Budgens for OH and some of the yummy Suma organic peanut butter OH raves over which I can't find anywhere else. Budgens had President butter 250g for 1.30, 25p cheaper than it was in Morrisons last week and wasn't a special offer.

The independent grocery shop had Walker's shortbread for OH (no additives) for £1 on offer. They were charging £3 for 24 organic Weetabix, outrageous, over 40p dearer than in Waitrose and Tesco. Did get some really nice Women's Institute brand oatie biscuits, they look really good for 1.48 and no additives.

Did find some organic veg in Tesco but not much. Got 2 packs of British organic medallion steaks for dinner, £4 each pack. One had three small bits, the other one large bit and a small bit. Toughest steak I have ever had the misfortune to eat, Lidl steak is much better than that. I'm going to email and complain and demand my money back grr.

I tried to get that last Thursday in Morrisons Sequeena, but the shelves were cleared of it, not one bottle left in my local Morrisons so this offer at Budgens was the best I could find today.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning.

All those food bargains you lot are getting is making me want to spend. lol

.......................... but I'm not (so there!!!!).

Only spent £13.53 so far this week and would like to keep it under £20, but won't cry if it goes over ..................... but it won't go over £25.

Just toast for breakfast and off to Matalan to have a look at their sale - don't think I want anything from there, but hubby may buy shorts.
Got a few things from both M&S and Clarke's Outlet shops (shoes for £10) - some great bargains about.

Catch up later, have a great weekend - no rain here, but mostly cloudy - haven't had any real rain for about 2 days (whooohoooo).

    Morning, hope everyone is well.

We are going out for the day tomorrow. Out of the freezer today I have taken YS mince 50p , to make mini shortcrust mince and onion pies. A 1kg pack of YS chicken wings 49p to do half spicy and half garlicky. 3x packs of puff pastry to make a puff savoury square that I will cut in to 4. 4 x chciken curry pasties with left overs from last night. A tray of cheese straws. I will also take out 4x YS muffins 39p. We will also be taking YS grapefruits 20p and YS cherries £1.
I know that is a lot of food for 4 people but we will be out for 12 hours and any left overs will be lunches for next week.
I am not going shopping so nothing should go in.

I made the mistake of asking what they wanted for pack up. :o

My husband wanted mince pies, son wanted puff square and daughter wanted curry pasties. I knew there was a reason that I normally don't ask them :rotfl:
