Seabass was yum! Had it with steamed rice, spinach, peas and corn on cob, delicious, needed a gravy or something, had last slice of my bday cake from.freezer yummy, I said I would only eat it if I went Zumba and i went, the slice was a bit small for.my liking.

Didn't go to Mr s, because I brought out the wrong cards and was knackered from Zumba so didn't want to go back home and out again, plus it was raining, deffo didnt need anything, will dig something out the freezer for lunch and will have melon for breakfast, having dinner in a seafood restaurant with friends tomorrow, last bday meal :)

Bagels out of the freezer this morning, and nothing in! Had a NSD today, which was great, and had lunch unexpectedly at a friends, then dinner at another friends, so no cooking today for me either! That doesn't happen very often :rotfl:

Going to try for another NSD tomorrow, unless of course I find some ys fruit and veg in Tesco on my way home after an afternoon out tomorrow (I have to walk right past, so no petrol needed), but will only buy things I use.

Am going to make baked spinach gnocchi with my spinach tomorrow night or saturday morning, not tried making it before, so I'm quite looking forward to trying something new, plus I have all the ingredients for it, and can use some of my home grown basil in it. I'm quite proud of my herbs, they've done really well, and I grew from scratch, used my coriander the other day in my carrot soup.

Hope everyone's had a good day, it looked really promising weather-wise this morning, sunny and lovely, and then since about 10.30 it was pretty much just rained, again. I hope it stops soon, I'm out and about all next week, and then out to a farm with my girls and friends next Saturday - please please please let us have a dry day! ;)

I grow my own herbs too cazj80 and with all this rain the mint has gone nutz.

Went to Lidl and bought the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and pine nuts on special offer from today at 99p each. Lidl is the cheapest place for prosciutto I know at 1.99 a pack so got more of that. Could only find organic Heirloom tomatoes at 1.49, no carrots or onions at all.

Went on to ASDA and picked up organic leeks, carrots and mushrooms. Also organic tinned plum tomatoes - ASDA's are 62p a can compared to 89p at Waitrose and Sainsbury's and 79p in Tesco.

Hardly got anything hope I can get more tomorrow need more veg desperately

We've only got coriander, basil, rosemary and chives at the moment, my sage, thyme and fennel have been eaten almost overnight by slugs. I'll be growing more though, its so nice to pick them fresh when you want them isn't it. We're still using the chillis we grew a few years back and dried.

Hope you have more luck finding more veg tomorrow.

Chilli con carne for dinner tonight. I'm using up stuff in the freezer, prior to defrosting it. I'm using the oldest stuff first. I'd rather not say how long this has been in there. I haven't decided on a jacket potato or some rice yet.

Morning, I hope everyone is well x

I have pulled out coissants for breakfast, buns for lunch. Do only northerners say buns?
I have also pulled out some left over chicken, I'll make a curry for dinner tonight. Nothing should go in.

Edwardia, only just read what your husband is going through. Big hugs to him as I am a sufferer as well. I have gone from giving board meetings all over the country, travelling alone in a tough male dominated field to struggling to leave the house alone. I hadn't had a sick day in 10 years and only 2 days in my life.
I understand the alcohol crutch, and the mind fog that sets in.
Big hugs to you as I know how hard it is for my husband to have seen me going from a strong happy person to a sort of zombie shell.
I am just getting to the point where I can see how bad I am now and be able to start to fight against it.
My thoughts are with you x

Morning all. Today looks.. promising, in that the sun appears to be shining again. Ds seems to have got over his 'episode' last night and has apologised with his 'I'm soooo sorry' and a cuddle. Makes me melt every time lol.

No idea what I'm having for meals. Might do the bacon and beans etc that I was planning on doing last night. Ended up feeling a bit hungry last night after having no tea so had a couple of weetabix.

Stephen - I'm trying to use up all my old stuff first. I know which is oldest as they're in a different colour freezer bag. I've got rid of a fair amount of the boxed items.... which means I'll probably start panicking soon!

SoWorried. Sorry to hear about what you're going through.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

    Morning.

Sequenna - congratulations (sorry I missed that!!!!!).

Soworried & Edwardia's Hubby - wishes to you both, sounds very scary.

Went to Asda last night to buy one of those steam mops on offer (£20) and bought a pack of Bavaria shandy - 6 cans for £1 (posted new thread) and some no-crust bread for 20p (froze 16 slices and rest for birds), so another £1.20 spent and £2.12 for the day (creeping up!!).

Toast for breakfast and a pizza and wedgers to share later. I'll tart up the pizza with extra mozzarella, ham and peppers.

No real planned shopping today ............................ may play with my new "toy". lol

Lynsey - is the steam mop offer in all Asdas? I've been thinking of getting one, but only seem to see the one advertised on the TV for only some many easy monthly payments, and it's more than I want to spend!

I've just been looking through all the recipes I've pinned on Pinterest, marking the ones I've made (not many yet) and planning which ones I'm going to make next! Going to aim for one a week I think :-)

Hope everyone has a good day, it's looking grey here today again, so who knows that it will, I'm suspecting rain!

And I just wanted to say how nice to has been to find a thread with lots of lovely people who do the same sort of things as me, sometimes I think a few of my friends think I'm a bit odd for buying ys food, or that I shouldn't, so I try not to talk about it too much with them. :( Luckily I have some really good friends too who also look for bargains, and we enjoy telling each other what we've got!

    It was posted HERE

Asda "Deal of the Day" thingy.
Don't think it will be brilliant, but some decent/good reviews.
I've seen them on the shopping channels. lol

Good luck with the ys'ing or "whoopsying", lots of extra things to buy due to to savings ............... like my mop, feel like it was free. ;)
God knows how money is wasted by people not "looking around" though, not just ys shopping, but those who may not have the time or can't be bothered to work it all out - the supermarkets must love them!!!
