Just been listening to Danny Baker interviewing Michel Roux..hilarious.
Soworried that's a picnic and a half there ! Somehow I don't think there'll be any leftover
I missed off a bargain I got yesterday , non-food one but hey I'll take em whenever I find em.. pure linen short-sleeved thin blue striped shirt for OH in Tesco £6 in the sale rack0 -
not feeling the best this morning as I injured my leg on wednesday and the pain is really setting in now. Not wanting to drive or walk far but stuff to do. The bruise on my thigh is tennis ball sized
.
Got to go out to pick up a Christmas / birthday pressie later that is reserved in argos. Got another one reserved in another town but just not going to be able to get both. Bit gutted as really want the one that I can't get to.
OH has just dug a pack of spare rib chops out of the freezer to do as a traybake for tomorrow's dinner. Not sure what we are having later but may treat ourselves to a bag of curry from asda, or may cook one.
need to get milk for the week (cash & carry) but may need to wait another day to squeeze that visit in.
The only other things I'd like are brocolli, courgettes and poss carrots but need to check outside fridge first to check if I have any left.
Shopping with hubby is harder as far as budgets go because he usually ignores that!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Did well with YS last night. Golden Syrup pancakes for 2p, 4 jacket potatoes for 8p, 2 chicken breasts in sauce for 97p and various bread for 7p. Very pleased!
Lone bag of mince out of the freezer tonight to make some burritos. Have a burrito kit in the cupboard so will use that up too0 -
Afternoon.
Edwardia Iceland were doing the innocent for £1 not sure if the offer is still on but worth checking.
Soworried pack up sounds like a feast! yum.
Last night i went to a seafood restaurant for dinner, they had sea bass lol i said i would not order it as i make it at home for £2 they were charging £14! so had sea bream, it was nice, but i know the costs lol.

katskorner sorry to hear about the bruise, have you tried either Nelson's arnica cream or witch hazel ? You should be able to get them from a chemist or Holland & Barrett.
How about reordering the item online, to be delivered to your local Argos ? Would that work ? Most stores seem to do that free of charge.
ms_night_ryder, only supermarket where I've found sea bream is Morrisons. You made the better choice because the sea bass they are flogging is quite probably farmed stuff from Greece.
It's been bucketing down cats and dawgs and stormy here most of the day so don't think 'll get to Iceland before it closes but will try and check tomorrow thanks, I did get some when they first had the offer on. OH lurves the Innocent juices.
Got veal mince out of freezer last night for dinner, having a spagless bogand lamb steaks for dinner tomorrow. Think all I need to buy for next few days is veg and dog food. Got a pretty good stash in freezer.
My shopping challenge is to buy stuff for OH to take to work as he's got to stay there during first week of Olympics. They've got rooms set up with shower, bed, TV and microwave for the managers who'll be doing a week each. As soon as I buy him stuff though he's just taking it as an ordinary lunch0 -
katskorner - hope you leg gets better quickly.
Only spent £3.24 in Lidl and ended up spending £4.30 on fish and chips, so £7.54 on the day and £21.07 for the week - not going out tonight, so weeks shopping is over. Desperate for fresh veg, I'll have a look tomorrow.
We had a pizza today also as well as tinned peaches and cream and chocolate etc, so a calorie feast!!!
Cooked the lamb fillet and in fridge for easy day tomorrow.
Feeling tired today, so early night ...................... just waiting for my lottery win ..................... get them holiday brochures out. lol

oh no, my order for my steam mop has been cancelled, because it's out of stock :-( and I was really looking forward to getting one.
Edit - I've just been on Asda Direct and it's saying still in stock on there. However, I have found it on Amazon, for £29.99 with free delivery, so once I have my money back from Asda, I'm going to order it from Amazon as I have £50 of amazon vouchers from Shop and Scan, so at least it won't cost me any of my "real" money, and with delivery it was £23 from Asda.
So I will still have my steam mop!0 -
I'm sure I registered with pinterest as I remember getting an email saying I'd been accepted but can't find it anywhere. Also requested an invite again the other week and heard nothing. Tried logging in but nothing again. Oh well, will give it another go at the invite.
I think I can invite people to Pinterest, if you want me to send you an invite?0 -
leg has been painful today - using out of date arnica cream (exp 2008) and in date pure aloe vera gel on it so hoping no tissue damage. Maybe trip to docs on Monday if no better.
Fed the boys salmon fishcakes and mash from freezer with a tin of spag hoops for dinner.
We resisted the takeaway curry bag in Asda and have made our own bhuna with chicken fillets from freezer and tonnes of veg so will freeze meals left over. Using up chana masala from cupboard and bhajis and naan from freezer too.
Nan is not well today and keeps pulling out her feeding tube. Not the best.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
