Morning all. Hope all are enjoying the weekend. Today looks like it might be nice. Clear sky at the mo! Although, how long that'll last, I don't know lol.

Slept fairly well, but then started have weird dreams about my trip to london and the journey to legoland, which has made me feel slightly more nervous. In fact, now I'm dreading it lol.

Went to Asda yesterday and spent about £20. Some on loreal face creams that I got for £2.50 because of vouchers. Sent my mam through a till with one, and a voucher and when we got back to hers, realised that the woman hasn't taken it out of the security box.

cazj80 - if you could send me an invite that'd be great thanks. Shall I pm you my email addy?

katskorner - hope the leg gets better soon.

Lynsey - wishing you well for your hospital stay. x
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Yes, if you send me a pm, I'll get an invite sent to you :)

I bet you'll have a great time at Legoland, my Mum and Dad are already talking about taking my two there when they're a bit older

Looking forward to it caz, although not sure how much success I'm going to have at getting ds on the more scary rides lol. He was a bit of a wimp at disney.

It's blinking dear tho! The Q-buster, which I think I'm going to have to get, with only being there for the day, is £15 each, but you can pay as much as £70pp for the Q-buster that lets you into everything.

 that is expensive!!! Is that on top of the entry to get in?? I've never been. We did go there when it was Windsor Safari Park, but that was a long time ago!

Had our 97p chicken last night, it was delicious. Also finished a bag of peas and treated us to oven chips too.

Out for lunch and dinner tonight so nothing being moved out of the freezer!

Have had a fairly good weekend for using food from the freezer. Used a whole bag of chicken thighs yesterday, as had my parents around and made morrocan chicken with sweet potato and coriander. Although I did pop to Tesco Express to get milk, and also got 2 packs of cooked chicken pieces for 45p instead of £1.80 each, and 3 boxes of cherries, for 50p each instead of £1.99 each. chicken is in the freezer now. Today I have taken out turkey breast steaks and rolls. I'm also using the english muffins I got the other day ys, and am making the mix for my gnocchi today, going to cook it tomorrow. Dinner tonight is turkey stirfry (got a stir fry pack for 38p the other day).

    Hello all,

Not posted in a long, long time! Proper eating out the stores at the moment as split up with my OH two weeks ago and haven't got spare pennies for food til payday!!

Just back from a week on holiday so back on eating out the stores big time. defrosting some sausages which should last me a couple of days atleast. If i'm imaginative, I should be able to make it to payday with out spending a penny!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon.

bramble1 - nice to see you posting again, good luck to the future.

katskorner - wishes again to your Nan.

cazj80 - pretty poor of Asda to cancel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spent £1.32 in Sainsbury's today on bit and should have been 29p more, but a reduced loaf didn't scan - free bread for the birds. lol

Took out some diced chicken breast for a stir fry tomorrow and breakfast will be something simple.
Going shopping for Brother tomorrow, so see if there are any cheap veg offers - if not, hope hubby will get some or get by until Friday.

Snacking rest of day, had casserole and syrup sponge with cream.

I'm seriously thinking about trying this challenge but can anyone tell me, where is the best (cheapest!) place to buy foil containers? I'd like to make a job lot of shepherds pie so would come in handy.

    Hi all,

Still no more news about Nan - will update when I hear.

My leg is getting better I think even if painful still this morning. A friend gave me some arnica tablets and just one has seemed to help. Spent this afternoon attacking serious weeds at my allotment (4/5ft high all over) and have some cracking nettle stings on my arms... and I shall have to see how my leg takes it later!

Dinner today is spare rib chops hubby got out yesterday with cauliflower cheese, brocolli, carrots, roast apple rings, roast onions, roast sweet pots, roast beetroot. Hubby did an apple an cider sauce pour over thingy and it tastes lovely.

Went to C&C to get milk and my fave butcher friend insisted I have some more meat.... in exchange for a little hug!

    1 large chicken (was £4.55) charged £2
    1.6kg sirloin steak (was £29) charged £3.95
    2 x pork pies at 50p each
3 x packs wildlife tube yogurts 50p each

well come one, what would you have done? (the steak is normally £17.99kg...mental) :j

so spend of 16.85 and then £1.50 for the paper today but look at the stuff I got for that :). And he told me to come back next Sunday to get more - I told him I won't need meat for ages!!

Hi Looter - welcome. I don't know about foil containers because I use chinese / indian takeway containers after making stuff in big dishes and then portioning for freezing that I keep but I think home bargains / b&m bargains would be pretty cheap. hths.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
