I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

Ooooh Miss_emmajane - you are tempting me to spend money!! I love gadgets and have some amazon vouchers at the moment so I might treat myself to an actifry. I got another HUGE electric bill yesterday and I have to reduce the usage of our oven, which is currently on more than it is off, due to kids making oven chips and other stuff. I am also thinking of getting one of those little ovens from Lidl - that looks good too!
Breakfast was half a bacon sandwich (leftover as DD2 was running late and didn't finish her breakfast!) and I have just put a few of the McCains wedges in the oven:o to have with a bit of leftover pizza from last night (there is LOADS left) and some salad, with some Tesco finest coleslaw which went out of date yesterday but still looks okay.
I just finished a big job off and have nothing really to do for the rest of the day, plus no money as fees haven't come yet, so I thought I might do a bit of baking this afternoon. Might make flapjacks and freeze them for lunchboxes.
My hula hoop from Amazon has arrived!! Can't wait to try it out.
Hope those of you who are poorly are coping. There's nothing worse than feeling bad, particularly when you have kids to see to as well.Jane
ENDIS. Employed, no disposable income or savings!0 -
Jane let me know how th Hula hoop is, it sounds fun.
I had 3 of the satsumas for breakfast, still loads left lol, i have just had lunch of some mccains oven home fries and a mr t's finest chilli burger, both from freezer, was yummy, will be having easy cook chicken breasts in a chilli seasoning and steamed rice and veg, off for a walk later, will pop into mr s, may pop into argos to look for a new kettle, will also look in mr s, need to dig out my nectar card and put some points on the card, also have a 29p moc to use.
Have a nice day all, its grey here.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Not going as planned today. lol
Ikea breakfast was nice ........................ but no longer 99p .................... up in price to £1.50 now, but omelette instead of scrambled eggs. Still free drinks though.
Not much for me in the sale apart from a print for £4.99. Did get all my Brother's things though.
Groupon coffee and cake shop was closed .................. for today only!!!!! Popped into Morries when passing and bought some more cream muffins (not missing out on cake), got another pack of Velvet with coupon and some plants and 2 bananas - £1.10 spent so far on budget.
Just snacking today and probably a cheese burger later.
Pop into Sainsbury's later to have a wee look and pick up some more Cravendale (need to check how many coupons I have left).
Warm here today, but still raining on and off - it's been a wet June!!

Well I've started using up the things in my cupboard but not in the way planned! As I was emptying one of my cupboards a large bottle of balsamic vinegar fell and smashed and went everywhere! Am proud that I did not swear (trying to swear less at my boyfriends request!). At least the Approved Food is nearly packed away:jSince starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.0

Lynsey, lol doesnt sound as if its going to plan, never mind plenty of better days to make up for it, prob if you go mr s tonight, you will come back with loads for like £1 lol.
For some random reason, i decided i must get rid of some of the 10 snacksize mars bars i had, i dont like them, got them in a glitch, not all that keen on mars, so had a look for a receipe, found one for some mars cookies, made them as i had all the ingredients yay me, used only 2 of 10 lol and the receipe makes 30 biscuits, but if you make the filling which i didnt its 2 biscuits per one, iyswim.
so anyway i made 12, but still have enough for another 12 because it says walnut size, but i dont really like walnuts, so not sure of the size, mine were more like dough balls, can i freeze the dough? thought i saw that you could somewhere but not sure, if not will use tomorrow, i can freeze biscuit cookie type things cant i? serves me right for being so enthusiastic i guess lol.
Anyone know what else i could do with the mars bars?Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I like to chop them up into really small bits and mix them with ice-cream. Not just Mars Bars, but loads of chocolatey things.

I defy you not to eat it all in one go - nicest thing on the planet - EVER! (send me some please!:D)
Got another bambino bargain on a big item which is great :j
OH is eating the chicken pie I didn't eat last night. I had a tin of my bargain Campbells Celery Soup - [STRIKE]might have to go back to Asda and get some more with the vouchers [/STRIKE];) so that's something else out of the cupboard. Bought whoopsie bread in Asda on Sunday, that's just been finished too. One loaf has come out of the freezer. Freezer is still full!
Just discovered mysupermarket too - how useful!0 -
Evening all. Had some oxtail soup for dinner after spending the morning in bed again. Not sure about tea. Feeling a bit hungry. Might have a tuna sandwich later. Ds' nana phoned saying he's fallen to sleep and they can't wake him so he's not had any tea. Maybe he's catching up himself from when he was ill.I like to chop them up into really small bits and mix them with ice-cream. Not just Mars Bars, but loads of chocolatey things.

A shop charged me £3 for making that! A blended milk shake out of ice cream, skimmed milk and a bar of chocolate. Can do that myself lol.Mars Bar Cake - http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/mars-bar-cake-1847
