Mr F ventured into the garage freezer last night when I was sitting reading in bed - I know how to treat my man! :rotfl: I did give him a cuddle when he got into bed. :o
Mr F manged to fit 3 tubs of crumble in to the freezer and took out 1 sultana muffin. I need to get a slice of HM bread out of the small freezer - both freezers stuffed as per usual!

Lip_Stick - not the brightest thing your friend's OH has done then, coming to Newcastle!!
Hope he's got a warm coat, hat, scarf, gloves, wellies and an umbrella. lol

Florenceem - hope Mr F never put his cold hands on you. lol

Baked my sultana scones, added a little baking powder and they rose quite a bit and were much lighter in texture.
Would have posted a pic, but some have already gone .......... maybe next time. Very nice though with strawberry jam.

Off to Asda to get a couple of packs of the chunky Kit-Kats (8 for £1), on to B&M's for perhaps some crisps and Lidl to get 2 x brown sauce and fudge.
I'll be well under £25 this week, but over £15 now due to the Kit-Kats.

    Afternoon all.

I have been out already, didnt go to any supermarkets, went to the market for some yummy green beans, also got satsumas, carrots, brocolli, strawberries.

Will have some of my supply of apples, and some strawberries, need to take out some pittas, wait until they defrost and have a very late lunch, may toast them to make it quicker, will cut the chicken breast piece in 2 and have some cucumber, i still dont know what im having for for dinner, will decide when i go and munch the fruit.

Spent £3.95 on the f&v got enough now to last the week, along with what i already have and freezer stores.

Tonight it will be something involving Linda McCartney sausages, cheesy dumplings and the carrots and potatoes languishing in the fridge xx

hi all, I havent visited this thread for a while, and wow do my cupboards and freezer know it!!! lol
We are going on holiday soon and so we are saving as much money as we can for it, and I thought the best way would be to STOP BUYING FOOD!!!
I have so much food its madness so I am hoping I can get it back down to a sensible level again!
I am hoping in the next few days to list all my food, then I can work out the best way to use it, i think it will be better to do this when my kids go back to school and nursery on monday.

So for lunch, the kids have just had packet noodles and sausage roll each (From the depths of the cupboard and freezer!) and I have had a tortilla wrap (also rescued from the cupboard and almost out of date so have frozen half the packet!)
On a mission, wish me luck!!!

Got my free McVities cake bars, thanks for the link to the coupons Lynsey :D

Tonight (after ashamedly forgetting to get something out for dinner 3 nights on the row and my poor husband having to suffer chicken kiev and chips all three nights!!!!!) we are having........chicken kiev! No, I'm joking! Got masses of Chicken out to do a batch cook, have some mushrooms that need eating and a couple of jars of homepride sauce in the cupboard that need to go. Also lots of potatoes, may fry them as a special treat :D Definitely a "clearing out" meal tonight!

Did you get the Jaffa cakes ones??
They are tiny, thank God they were free.
Did you get the L'Oreal coupons?? Some freebies and bargains there if you pick the right shops - great coupons and updated every month.

No 8 packs of chunky Kit-Kits for £1 in Asda!!
Got myself a bunch of flowers and they had loads of Anchor cream for 20p, so got one and having the chicken with roast veg and blue cheese sauce.
Took out 12 vol-au-vent cases and fill with the chicken and blue cheese sauce later for a snack.
Also took out some mince to make another cottage pie for tomorrow.

Spend £2.76 in Lidl on bits and bobs including my fudge.
£2.96 food budget so far, see what bargains are available tonight.

B&M crisps offers were not brill, so left them!!

Evening all. Been to asda and spent another £22. Most of it was on father's day pressies for my dad and ds' dad. Managed to buy eggs too.. and about time.

Feeling hungry and so is ds. We're having chicken breast roulade which is wrapped in chorizo. Taken a rack of lamb with herb and mint crust out for tomorrow.... although just realised... ds is with his dad... arghhh.

Put the lamb back in, so it's now a cumberland pie meal for one for tomorrow. :( Was looking forward to the lamb lol.

My friend isn't coming over tonight, decided it'd be too much hassle getting her daughter home tomorrow. I did mention that it would be, last night. Glad I never bothered with getting munchies!

Lynsey - I like the sound of those chicken and blue cheese vol-au-vents.

lynneee - Wishing you luck lynneee, hoping to get some order to my place once ds gets back to school. Really need to meal plan now!
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Mr F has not ventured into the freezer yet - he is out walking the dog.
We had HM garlic wedges, rump steak, salad - grated carrot, lettuce + onion sprinkled with sunflower seeds for dinner.

Lynsey thank you for the info about l'oreal vouchers. I didn't realise they were updated every month.

Thank you also for the mcvities link. I printed a couple and eventually got them accepted. I took them to the local Mr T and the SA said you can only use one even though i had two boxes. The voucher actually said one per purchase not one per transaction but I didn't realise that till afterwards. I then took the second voucher to the big Mr T and the self scan wouldn't accept it. The SA said they don't accept internet vouchers any more. Eventually I used it in the local Mr T.

Is it true that Mr t don't accept internet vouchers any more or is it just my store?
